Ordered a couch from this vile company…

Ordered a couch from this vile company and have been fighting with the bank to get a refund for a month - they have changed their company policy on their website after refusing us a refund. I had screenshots of what the returns policy looked like before the company have changed them lucky for me! I have got a refund back through my bank after a month. Please do not purchase from this company it is absolute shambles, TERRIBLE customer service team who ignores you, invalid address on their website and invalid phone numbers.
All the reviews that are 5 star are fake. Please please do not purchase from here. They are liars and will do anything they can to avoid issuing a refund. They literally changed their website policy to steal from us.

Very disappointed with my experience…

Very disappointed with my experience with Sofista Living Ltd.

I paid thousands of pounds for a sofa and noticed a clear gap in the sofa from the video before delivery. I raised this with them straight away, before the sofa even arrived, but I was told it was only because the sofa was not clipped in.

When the sofa was delivered, the same gap was still there. This was not damage from use — it was delivered with the fault already there. The fault was also hidden by the cushions in the pictures/videos.

Before I placed the order, communication was very quick and they were messaging regularly. After I reported the fault and sent proof, I was told to wait 48 hours. The 48 hours passed, and then they ignored my messages and calls.

They promised years of warranty and protection, but in my experience this has not been true. They have not even dealt with a fault that came from their end.

What makes this even more concerning is that after I raised the issue, their Instagram account was deleted. This has made me feel even more worried as a customer, because instead of dealing with the problem, they disappeared from the platform where I had been communicating with them.

In my opinion, this feels like a scam. I paid thousands of pounds, raised the fault before delivery, received the sofa with the same fault, was ignored after sending proof, and then their Instagram account was deleted after I complained.

Please be careful before buying from this company. I believe customers should know my experience before spending thousands of pounds. My advice is to go to a well-known, branded company where your money is safer and any faults are dealt with properly, instead of being ignored after payment.

Very poor customer service, no accountability, and no fair resolution. I am still waiting for them to take responsibility, but instead of dealing with the fault, they decided to disappear by deleting their Instagram account after I raised the issue.

I am very disappointed with my experience with Sofista Living.
The sofa delivered did not match my expectations, and I immediately raised concerns about the size, design and overall condition of the item. In addition, one of the sofa legs was broken on delivery, which raised serious concerns about quality control and inspection before dispatch.
I was informed that my £100 deposit would not be refunded because the sofa was supposedly a customised order. However, the sofa delivered appeared to be the same size and specification as the standard model advertised on the website, and I could not identify any visible customisation that would justify this claim.
I formally disputed the decision and explained that this was not simply a change of mind or personal preference. My concerns related to the condition of the sofa, the broken leg, and the fact that the item delivered did not match what I believed I had ordered.
Unfortunately, despite submitting a formal complaint and requesting a proper review of the matter, I have not received a satisfactory response. What has been most disappointing is the lack of communication and willingness to address my concerns as a customer.
Based on my experience, I do not feel that this matter has been handled fairly or professionally, and I cannot recommend this company.

Firstly, the sofa you ordered was not a standard-size sofa. The standard Luna Sofa advertised on our website measures 250cm x 150cm. Your order was manufactured to your requested custom measurements of 245cm x 210cm, making it a bespoke, made-to-order item. For this reason, your deposit was non-refundable in accordance with our terms and conditions, which are clearly stated before purchase.

You have stated that the sofa did not match your expectations in terms of size, design, and overall condition. We would like to address each of these points individually:

Size: The sofa was manufactured exactly to the measurements you requested. There was not a single centimetre difference between the agreed dimensions and the sofa delivered.

Design: The sofa delivered matched the design advertised. In fact, we have published a pinned post on our Instagram page showing both the sofa listed on our website and the sofa delivered to you. We encourage anyone reading this review to compare the two. The delivered sofa is a direct representation of the advertised product, and no material design differences exist between them.

Condition: The sofa delivered was brand new and manufactured specifically for your order. No concerns regarding its overall condition were identified before dispatch or after its return.

You have also claimed that one of the sofa legs was broken upon delivery and that this raised concerns regarding our inspection process. We take such allegations very seriously. However, we have video evidence of the sofa both before delivery and after it was returned from your property. These videos confirm that the sofa legs were intact and that no such damage was present. The same evidence has been made available in our pinned Instagram post for complete transparency.

Based on the evidence available, this was not a case of receiving a faulty or incorrectly manufactured sofa. The sofa was custom-made to your requested dimensions, matched the agreed design, arrived in good condition, and was subsequently rejected. As a result, this appears to be a change-of-mind situation rather than an issue with the product itself.

We also respectfully disagree with the suggestion that there was a lack of communication. Our team responded promptly throughout the process and typically replies to customer enquiries within minutes. We reviewed your concerns, provided explanations, and handled the matter in accordance with our policies.

At Sofista Living, customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, and we always strive to resolve concerns fairly and professionally. To ensure complete transparency, we have published the comparison and evidence publicly so that customers can view the advertised sofa alongside the delivered sofa and make their own informed judgement.

I am absolutely delighted with my sofa

I am absolutely delighted with my sofa! It is beautiful, exactly what I was hoping for, and the quality is outstanding. The customer service was exceptional from start to finish.

Before ordering, I spent some time browsing their website and contacted their team for advice. They were incredibly helpful and guided me through choosing the fabric, the color, and even the perfect size for my space. Their support made the whole process so easy and stress-free.

The delivery was also surprisingly fast—I received my sofa within just one week! I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The sofa is perfect, comfortable, stylish, and exactly as described.

I would definitely recommend purchasing beds from this company.
