Quick Correction of Mistake

I purchased a few items on 8/3/25, and received an email on 8/5/25 stating my order was out for delivery (which included a list with everything I ordered). On 8/14/25, I received my package, and I received an email stating my order had been delivered, again with the list of everything I purchased. However, in my package, 1 item was missing. I emailed them on 8/15/25 about this error, and on the same day, I received a response from them (shout out to sokoglam support member Emily) apologizing and sending out a replacement item. I have purchased from sokoglam regularly for a few years now and this is the first time I've had an issue with any orders, and I was really impressed with how quick and seamless this process was to get a correction.

Disappointing

ordered a perfume which sat at the "in transit to dhl distributing center" for 10 days before i asked whats going on and they tell me its missing, they couldn't replace it because its now out of stock, im assuming it was out of stock in the beginning and they were just not going to say anything.

I wish I could give this place a zero

I wish I could give this place a zero. Their customer service is appalling! They don't give much solution and have given the wrong products and are now telling me that I need to pay for the return shipment for their wrong shipment. This makes no sense to penalize their clients for the companies error. And part of my order is still not delivered...

No customer service never arrived

No customer service responded after contacting 4 times, orders didn’t arrive, missing products on order that did arrive $189 worth of missing products from one box and $300 worth of missing packages, miscalculated refunds on out of stock products, two week to ship, god awful shipping routs and company, absolute garbage, this is the first time I’ve encountered issues with soko I’ve ordered from them for 4 years and within the last two months I’ve experienced every bad issue you can with a brand i don't know who's in charge but they don't care and their team sucks I will never be purchasing from then again which saddens me since I was a die hard supporter, but I'll only be using YesStyle and Olive Young for my k beauty needs from now on

Appalling commercial practices

I wish I went here first!
I ordered during back Friday and they cancelled my order without telling me. All items are in stock, so they seem to just avoid wanting to apply the discount.
I am a repeat customer and had issues in the past where they promised free worldwide delivery and the post charged me 20$ at delivery!

Too publicly political for me

I don’t like how publicly controversially political Charlotte Cho has become on social media. Why jeopardize your company?? This company used to have a great amount of curated products. Very skimpy now. Wonder if her political views this election has anything to do with it. Companies of these products that don’t want to lose customers will stop doing business with people like Charlotte …which is great. Go woke, go broke. Just sell the products and leave your personal life out of it. The dwindling of products combined with Charlotte’s political opinions on social media made it an easy decision to never buy/support this company again. After 12 years (since day one) of supporting this company, it’s peace out for me! ✌🏼

Decent company

I began to order from Soko Glam in Dec.2021. I can't complain. Once my order was misplaced but after contacting with the customer service they delivered me the package for free. One star less for pretty long shipment time which is about 5-7 days in US.

DONT ORDER FROM SOKO GLAM

The first time I ordered from soko glam the company shipped my item the next day but then I ordered once again on May 23rd and it's now June 1st and my item has still not been shipped. And because I demanded not so nicely for my money to be refunded, they did refund me but then banned me for life from buying from them. Now this email I got from someone named Lili told me I'm no longer able to purchase for soko glam and I'm not sure why she thinks that hurts me cause I would never give this so called company another dime. OH BY THE WAY, I GOT A REFUND AFTER I THREATENED TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE.
DON'T BUY FROM SOKO GLAM. BELIEVE THE REVIEWS!! Also go to the website glassdoor and look at what employees are saying about this company. They say the products are NOT high quality and the CEO is not a nice person. I would agree with that.

i ordered on the 2 of february 2023

i ordered on the 2 of february 2023. I checked on to the tracking and it has been on the same spot for over 10 days so I emailed soko and they said that the order had been shipped back to them they told me that they would just send it back to my address and so they did a month later the same thing happened. THEY ARE A SCAM

Bad support team

I had to wait for 3 weeks to get the package. No proper response from the support team. The product is good but it took me ages to try it out.

Canadian experience: Great

I had a great experience with this company. I ordered on July 24 and received on July 28, delivered by Canada Post. I was able to track directly through the website tracking link. The majority of the delivery was through DHL and then my local mail service takes over. My items were well packaged and had all necessary safety seals. Be aware all priced are in USD. I have purchased from them again. Great selection on products I can’t buy in store or are not available in Canada.

Don't waste your money

I tried the Then came you lip mask. It doesn't work. I think it makes my lips feel worse. Simple aquaphor is better. I have to pay to return and if half the product is used they don't refund. My lip mask came in a tube that is not see through. They're a joke. Don't waste your money.

I purchased a product similar to another product I use regularly. This is supposed to be the same ingredients. These ingredients usually cause a peeling/exfoliation within days. I bought a package of 3. None of them worked. I contacted the company to let them know that it was either a defective batch or one of those that really don't use the products on the label. I was basically told too bad. I want to warn you that you are probably receiving a product from China and it is doubtful that the actual product you think you are getting is what you will receive. I won't order from Soko Glam again and I wanted to warn any other pontential customers to not waste their month.

Product rating manipulation.

I have shopped on this site several times, and I have concluded that this is a 1 star business.

Positives:
(1) Products have been mostly fresh.
(2) Only $35 minimum for free shipping, which is generous. But the speeds are so slow that I often get airmail (not EMS) from Japan faster.
(3) Support representatives get back to you quickly, and a majority of their communication is actually responsive to the question posed.

Negatives:
(1) Only positive reviews are published. Negative reviews are not only not published, but they do not even bother to contact you and let you know that the review was not published due to whatever reason in their TOS. While not all businesses notify you of rejected reviews, Soko Glam sends multiple marketing spam messages per day, so it's not like they don't know how to over-email you. Why not alert the reviewer that the negative review was rejected? (It's obviously intentional.) Had you notified me that my negative review would not be published for X reason, it would have given me a chance to re-submit a NEW negative review. By not doing so, your star rating is inaccurate, and at the very least, it's a DISHONEST presentation of your product.

(2) "Exclusive" or "limited time" sale prices advertised in email have led to a broken or non-sale page. For example, I once received a fancy email stating some specific sheet mask set was on sale. Literally within seconds of receiving that email, I clicked on the sale picture link, and it just took me to the product page where the item was still listed at regular price. Huh? No sale? I asked the chat representative why the discrepancy, and she gave me a virtual eye-roll, telling me that the holiday season sale had ended. She made me sound like I was some idiot who had arrived late for Christmas. Excuse me? It was your email?? Surely, you should know your own offers better than I do? Very disorganized.

(3) I get automatically signed up for non-stop spamming of irrelevant marketing messages any time I visit sokoglam.com and simply log in to the site. NO MEANS NO. Why are you signing me up again? I don't care about a new line of products I've never heard of and don't need 3 emails per day about it. They must have similar programming as Mercari -- nonstop junk mail.

Amazing

I've ordered from here many times. It usually takes about one week for my parcel to arrive. Their customer service is amazing, and the products are all authentic. If you have the browser app honey, I don't pay too much with the coupons. If I ever need recommendations I just email them or set up a free consultation. Overall, the products, website, and service is great.

Received products however

Received products however, their customer service is horrible. They advertised a free product you get if you buy so much, never received it. No number. Emailed them several times. Never received any help. I don't usually like to complain about companies but if I knew I would not get the free product, I would not have bought as much as I did.

Front line customer service need training

Their glossy website belies their total lack of customer service & it makes no sense. I was a brand new customer, placed an order for two items with one on backorder. So one item was mailed separately & took about ten days to get to me, which was understandable given the wildfires in that part of the country. But when my package was finally delivered it was busted open & except for a sample it was empty. So I go online looking for a customer service number - nowhere to be found. It makes absolutely no sense that a company with such overpriced items has no way for customers to reach out with delivery issues or complaints. Not even a chat in lieu a phone number to get immediate help about this. That only added to my aggravation & twelve hours later I got a reply - they sent me a replacement item, which if they had any customer service orientation they would've sent me free of charge along with a partial or full credit for the amount paid. Now we're only talking about a bottle of cleanser worth $19, to keep a customer they should've been more willing to make me happy. All that did was make me write back requesting a full refund, now I think I'm done. Except I get another email telling me to refuse the cleanser - that was sent to me without a credit & of their own volition - & ship it back. I had to laugh - said in this era of lockdown I most certainly won't make a special trip to return something I didn't ask for & can't even refuse because no signature is required. Soko Glam is the most petty business I've ever dealt with. Better to keep a customer happy to continue getting business than be petty and lose one. Absolutely don't recommend dealing with them at all.

UPDATE: A higher up emailed me apologizing & assuring me that the re-sent cleanser is a courtesy. Very much appreciated & hoping that the front line customer service reps receive better training on how to deescalate/efficiently rectify common issues with orders. They still need to get a phone # though.
