From start of ordering to work done it was very quick. Julian and Jon did a great job. Cleaned up after themselves. Very pleased with finish.

We had Solartek Birdstrike Window Film installed to one of our windows as a trial, as I was sceptical as to how clear it would be.

Having had it fitted a few weeks now I can say that we don't even realise it is in there; the clarity is remarkable.

We will be having the remaining windows similarly coated in due course.

We recently had solar window film installed on our patio doors by Solartek Films Ltd, and we are extremely pleased with the result.From the very beginning, the sales team were knowledgeable, helpful, and easy to deal with, clearly explaining the different film options and what would work best for our home. There was no pressure, just good advice.The installer was excellent – very professional, efficient, and incredibly tidy. He took great care while working in our home and left everything spotless once the job was finished.Since the film has been installed, the difference in the room temperature is very noticeable. The space is now much cooler and more comfortable during sunny days. We have also noticed that our furniture and flooring are no longer fading, which was a big concern for us before.An unexpected benefit came recently when we had an attempted break-in through the patio doors. Thankfully the glass held together because of the film, and the intruder was unable to gain entry. That alone has given us great peace of mind.Overall, we are very impressed with the quality of the product, the professionalism of the team, and the added comfort and security the film provides. From the initial contact with Ben to the after care email from Natasha the whole experience has been exceptional. Very professional with a full breakdown of advice and requirements that meets our needs not just based on selling the most expensive.

I wanted smart film fitted on the floor-to-ceiling south-facing windows in my new-build apartment.
Solartek sent someone out to do an initial view of the property/windows, where they described the process and took videos of the space for their records.
They gave an initial quote off the back of this and once I agreed to proceed, I paid a small non-refundable survey fee and then they sent the same person with a helper to take detailed measurements of the windows and identify the right location for the power equipment (in a cupboard, involving drilling through a wall).
Finally, I paid half for the window templates and once they were ready I paid the rest and the same team spent an entire day installing the film on 3 windows (6 panes).
They started about 8am, finished around 8pm.
I'm very happy with the result - I can make my windows completely opaque with the flick of a switch.

I had never tried using window film before and Ben gave me great advice on how much to buy and how to apply the film. Very friendly and efficient service - the order arrived the next day in good condition. Would definitely recommend.

We had the Bird Strike Prevention film fitted to our conservatory by Solartek. Before we had it fitted, we were getting a bird hitting the windows and dying at least once a week, on a bad week birds were hitting the windows and dying/being stunned most days. Although we’ve only had the film fitted about 6 weeks ago, not one bird has hit the windows since, it really is remarkable. The company have been great to deal with, very professional with good and prompt communications, and the fitters were great. Although the Bird Strike Prevention film is not cheap, it really does work, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it or Solartek to others.

I recently had Solartek install silver privacy film on my bifold doors and one of my living room windows. From the initial enquiry to the final installation, the team was extremely helpful and responsive. Julian, the fitter, was friendly, professional, and did an excellent job.

I was initially a bit skeptical about how effective the film would be, especially since it’s difficult to judge from a small sample. However, I’m absolutely delighted with the results. Not only does the film provide great privacy, but it has also noticeably reduced the amount of UV light entering the room and kept it cooler during the current mini heatwave.
