Thanks for ruining Valentine’s Day, Soothe. I booked my first-ever appointment with Soothe for Valentine’s Day as a gift to my husband. I saw the therapists pick up the appointment, got a confirmation email and anxiously awaited our couple’s massage. One-hour before our massage ON Valentine’s Day (7:00p), I got a message saying no one was available. When I called, I got a terrible customer service representative who wasn’t at all sympathetic to what had just occurred. No, we’re so sorry this happened...no trying to fix it all. Just a you’re SOL leaving me empty-handed on V-Day. I will never use Soothe again.

***UPDATE*** Customer service reached out an offered 60 free massage minutes + $20. So, basically a free massage. Great. We book another couple’s massage to make up for Valentine‘s Day gone wrong. We book one female and say it doesn’t matter for the second thinking this would increase our odds. Once again...we received a confirmation email saying we were good to go along with the names of our therapists. Yet again, one hour before our massage we received the “oops - our therapists are busy” message. Not only is this a bad joke, this is a flawed business model. So, you reach out once therapists confirm, but not when they cancel? Customers are held to a two hour cancellation policy (if not cancelled within two hours, they charge you a fee), yet they are not held to the same standard? Clearly there is no accountability for their therapists and the credit means nothing as apparently it’s not possible to get an actual massage.

We did a couples massage and the therapists were amazing! It was an excellent massage - the right amount of pressure where needed and a series of wonderful stretches at the end. And it was awesome being home and rolling into bed after.

This is an amazing concept. I have to admit I was skeptical about inviting perfect strangers into our home but Soothe seems to have employed truly professional and skilled massage therapists. I thoroughly enjoyed the massage and was delighted not to have to shower in a public bathroom afterward! The cherry on top was that it was way less expensive than most in-home massage therapists.
