My fellow musicians, DO NOT purchase products from Sound Select JHB.

They owe me a refund, service is extremely slow, staff members shout at you and hang up, and the manager is always in a "meeting" and will NEVER call the customer back.
Avoid the unprofessionalism, theft and shop else where so you don't get scammed.

I originally ordered and paid for a speaker, waited the 3-5 days for delivery.
10 days later, no delivery and I had to follow up.
They then informed me another 3 days later that the product is no longer available but they will send me a cheaper product.
They ask for your banking details to refund you and never do.

I have 28 emails on thread to staff and call everyday to talk to the manager, and I get sent in circles, with promises that I will get paid, the manager will call me back and this issue will be resolved.
This has been going on for 2,5 months!

Soundselect owes me a refund! Please do not purchase from this company.

Worst online shopping experience of my life. I purchased a keyboard that was delivered faulty and didn't work. It took them 14 days to collect it and it's now over 3 weeks without a replacement. Further to this I purchased a recording device for R6800 through their website only to be told days later that it's out of stock. It's now 3 weeks later and they have yet to process the refund. It's shocking. I am proceeding to report them to the consumer ombud and opening a case of theft. Their total lack of service deliver and to prioritise returns and refunds when it matters most is apparent. They should not even be allowed to conduct business in the retail space.

I placed an online order with SoundSelect on 03 Apr, for an Epiphone ECLPC-AW Les Paul Custom Alpine White Guitar.

The product was clearly advertised and confirmed as in stock at the time of purchase, and I received an order confirmation.
After payment, SoundSelect showed a status, and still do, of "Confirmed - We're preparing these items for shipping".

When I inquired a week later, from their online sales contact, Lina, when shipping would happen I was informed that the item is actually not available.

I immediately requested a full refund, and got a confirmation of the cancellation by email. I was informed that the refund would be processed.

More than a week after that I inquired about my refund. I was then informed that the haven't done the refund because they were looking for stock. I mentioned that is not acceptable. They confirmed the refund, I'm looking elsewhere for the item.

They have still not processed the refund despite my follow-ups.

I have sent multiple emails and messages, but responses have been delayed, vague, or non-existent. As of today, 21 April, I still have not received my refund, and the order remains unresolved.

This is very disappointing, especially since the website showed the item as in stock when I ordered. Other customers seem to have experienced similar issues with stock misrepresentation and slow refunds.

I would not recommend ordering online from SoundSelect until they improve their stock accuracy and refund processes. I am now escalating this through Mobicred and the National Consumer Commission.
