This is the second time I've used Specialist Property Lawyers for buying and selling properties and I can't fault them. They are always accessible, transparent and very aproachable, while being extremely efficient and knowledgeable. Their fees are reasonable too. Having tried to sell my property two times already with different lawyers who I chose to buy cheap. I ended up with cheap, constant chasing, delays, headaches and tears. This time I decided to go for a company with a good reputation on reviews and yes it was more expensive but oh was the experience so different. I didn't have to lay a finger. There was no stress, no chasing, no delays on my lawyers side. They literally did everything for me. They persevered with the buyers solicitors who I must say were clearly "cheap" (muve) and the poor buyer was now the one who was stressed. I cannot recommend specialist property lawyers enough. Ben and he's team were fantastic from start to finish. I'm so glad I decided to pay the extra and get the best service out there. I'm pretty certain I would have exchanged and completed within 12 weeks if it wasn't for the buyers solicitor being incompetent at their job. We used Specialist property Lawyers in Camberley when selling my Dad's retirement apartment, which was more complex than a normal house sale with it being a leasehold property.
We first had contact with Heidi, who dealt with all the documentation which we needed to provide. She was really friendly and efficient, and gave us helpful advice when we needed clarification on the documents we had to complete. She really inspired us with confidence that we'd chosen a good firm of conveyancers.
After the initial 2/3 weeks, we started to have contact with Vidya. I have to say she was amazing and super efficient! She kept us updated every step of the way, I never had to chase her for information, and she was really on the ball at chasing our buyer's solicitors, who, unfortunately, seemed to be pretty useless (a view also apparently held by our buyer!). She also liaised with Vickery a lot so that the sale ended up being so much easier for us.
Thanks to Heidi and especially Vidya, the whole process was far less stressful than it could have been, and I highly recommend them.
