- he Spencer Private Hospitals in Ashford is located within the Arundel Unit of the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford (WHH). - Excellent infection control rates (see Quality Accounts) - Exemplary standards of cleanliness - Wi-Fi Access - Car parking available onsite The facility has five consulting rooms, a treatment room and audiology services in partnership with Hearbase. We are also able to offer outpatient Physiotherapy. Ashford also has 4 small en-suite bedrooms located within the William Harvey Hospital. Our Consultant base enables us to offer outpatient appointments in all of the major specialties including Ear Nose and Throat, Maxillo Facial, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Urology, Pain and Orthopaedics.
- Spencer Private Hospitals - Canterbury
- The Spencer Private Hospitals in Canterbury is located within the Emergency Care facility at Kent & Canterbury Hospital (KCH), with the entrance located immediately left of the Minor Injuries unit with an intercom to gain access. In November 2019 we opened our new location at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital (KCH), following our successful registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This expansion comes as a result of increased demand as well as an identified need to make our services easily accessible to all. The new outpatient facility offers private consultations in Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, Rheumatology, HCOOP, General Surgery and Healthscreening.

- The Spencer Private Hospitals in Margate is located on the grounds of The Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother (QEQM) Hospital in its own unit with its own car park and entrance (located on the Ramsgate Road side of the hospital). The Spencer Private Hospitals in Margate has been providing private healthcare services to the people of East Kent for over twenty years and in that time has built an excellent reputation for providing high standards of care. The hospital consists of twenty-two en-suite bedrooms, five consulting rooms and an endoscopy suite. Overnight stay after laparoscopy
I had a laparoscopy and stayed one night at Spencer Hospital in Margate. All the doctors and nurses were amazing. They were very carrying, kind and friendly. During my recovery, the nurses took very good care of me. Prompt to check on me, serve tea and relieve pain. On discharge, they answered all my many questions and gave me tips for home recovery. They are a very well run team, efficient and professional.

Eye clinic great, parking is crap
The team at the eye clinic are great but the parking situation is terrible. Most of the people who attend the eye clinic are elderly and are driven to the Spencer wing. The nearest disabled parking places are a long walk away. This wasn't just on this visit, it happens every visit.

Good Quality Service.
It was a great experience, Staff were highly trained, friendly and professional. I felt very safe and confident that l was getting the best and safest treatment. I really don't want to be a regular visitor but it's always a pleasure, parking code always provided the day before an appointment, really friendly helpful staff, all areas always clean, helpful appointment reminders via text, just great service all round.

Hernia repair
Had hernia operation on 8th August 2026 although i had a good experience with staff and doctors, when discharged i wasn't offered a six week checkup ! and since my discharge i have had a uncomfortable recovery starting with constipation after taking prescribed medication on discharge.
I was and still worried that the constipation was so bad it might of reversed my hernia repair , so called Spencer hospital and after conversation with call handler was redirected to a secretary who suggested if it has been reversed by the constipation this would require another refferal and if nessarry another operation not their responsibility apparently! Even though the prescription for the co-codamol was given to me at discharge and this was the reason for my discomfort.
Not sure this is fair to me or our wonderful NHS who paid for my treatment.
