I am writing to provide some feedback on my recent order of Quarbani. While the meat arrived as requested and looks satisfactory, I did notice a couple of issues that I believe could be improved upon for future orders.

Firstly, the packaging was not as secure as I had expected; better packaging would ensure the meat remains in optimal condition during transit. Additionally, I believe more ice packs would be beneficial to maintain freshness.

Moreover, when I placed my order, I requested a half dice and half roast cut, but I received the whole diced meat instead.

Very bad experience, AVOID!!!

Very bad experience with this company. I ordered Qurbani and it was delivered today by DPD this afternoon in a very bad condition. The package was fully damaged/ opened by someone. It was definitely not temperature controlled. Meat packets were cut open. I ordered sheep, I was expecting net weight at least 20-24kg as advertised. The weight was under 14 kilograms! I feel I am scammed by this company. I tried to call them today to complain and sent WhatsApp messages with pictures. But no response so far! Hope this review helps others when considering this company. AVOID!!!

These people are a absolute

These people are a absolute, disgrace,I ordered 2kg of Oxtail,delivery time excellent, but the oxtail came small diced,mostly bones ,as I live outside of London i paid for delivery £8.99. Disgusting!!!!

Refuse to refund warm meat

The meat I ordered had the delivery delayed by one day. We checked the temperature when it arrived and it was too warm. I have contacted Spice Village numerous times to ask for a refund. Despite me sending photographic evidence, they 'assure me that the meat is a safe temperature' and refused to refund me. After several weeks and numerous emails, they are now asking for the meat to be returned to them for a refund. It concerns me that they think 11.6 degrees is a safe temperature and I am so disappointed that I have spent so much time and effort trying to get a refund for this meat and am left out of pocket. This is awful customer service. If you send meat that arrives at an unsafe temperature, you need to refund it!

Too much bone

Ordered lamb and mutton leg meat, it was almost half bone, some with no meat. The description nowhere stated this included bones. On querying I was offered 10% off my next order, sorry this wont happen. I suggested they amend their descriptions but this has not happened, hence my review.

Ordered via deliveroo. Arrived NOT vacuum packed. Poor packaging. Poor quality lamb mince - very fatty. Looked like they add fat to premium meat. Will not order again. I do not recommend them! Poor quality meat. Poor packaging for deliveroo order.

Awful Meat, Worse Service

Horrendous experience. I ordered a whole lamb which should have been approx 14kg. It turned up in a broken box, no longer cold, 3 packets of chopped up bone in lamb and one packet of mince. Total weight, 10kg of unusable lamb. One packet was even open. If I'd ordered the packets of chopped lamb it would have been way cheaper as it was only £11.99 p kg - for exactly the same thing as I received. The customer services came back within 24 hours to apologise and offer me a wonderful 10% off my next order - gee thanks! I now have a freezer full of dog food for Christmas and nothing to feed the family. Don't waste your time with these guys, order from a reputable halal butcher or even better, shop locally. Bloody awful products and service! 😠

Way too much fat but company has replied ... will give them a new chance

I must amend my initial review (which was a disapointed experience). They have been very responsive (not due to this review but to the email I sent them directly) and besides replying, they have called us to apologize and asked us to give them a second chance, which everybody deserves. Just for this reason, I changed my review from 1 star to 3, and I will be trying a new order in the near future.

I recently ordered from this company…

I recently ordered from this company for the first time, and unfortunately, I was dissatisfied with the quality of the products received. I purchased 3kg of mixed lamb, 5kg of chicken breasts, and 1kg of chicken thighs. All items arrived vacuum-sealed and packed in foil, but I have concerns regarding the overall quality control.

The mixed lamb was particularly disappointing, as the majority of the pieces consisted mostly of bone, with very little actual meat. The chicken breasts were also subpar, containing excessive fat and not appearing to be fresh. Worst of all, the chicken thighs were spoiled upon arrival, and I had no choice but to discard them.

Given this experience, I am uncertain whether any quality checks were performed prior to shipment, as the products did not meet the expected standards.

The fish (3 KG) arrived with foul smell…

The fish (3 KG) arrived with foul smell and was off. I had to throw it away. Lamb was ok but full of bones. Marinaded chicken was dry and with not much taste. The package had ice pack but only one for more than 5 kg of meat and was not cold anymore. I shall not be ordering from these people again.
