Great for kids - I have been using this app with cards for my two kids for years and it is a perfect solution for paying pocket money and also so they have money in a pinch (ie catching a taxi home).

Extremely Disappointed
Extremely Disappointed – No Service After 15 Days
I purchased a Spriggy Mobile plan 15 days ago, and my service is still not connected. I’ve followed up multiple times, including today, only to be told yet again by a call centre operator that my request will be “sent to the operations team” and they’ll “connect the service as soon as possible.” This is the same vague promise I’ve heard repeatedly.
Last Saturday, I was told the service would be connected by Monday morning. It’s now Monday, almost noon, and nothing has changed. I called again and asked for a refund, but no one took ownership of the issue. Even when I clearly stated I was unhappy but willing to wait until Monday, no one bothered to contact me to inform me of any further delays.
This shows a complete lack of accountability, poor management, and nonexistent customer relationship practices. It feels like Spriggy Mobile is only interested in collecting the initial registration fee, with no regard for customer satisfaction or follow-up.
I strongly advise others to think twice before signing up. If this review reaches senior management, I hope they take this as a wake-up call to fix their broken processes and start treating customers with respect.

So handy!
So handy to send my daughter out with her Spriggy card instead of needing to find cash. Helps too with getting her to help out more - being able to add photos to her savings goals is great for little visual learners!

Spriggy Regret - read before you purchase
We have had Spriggy for 3 years now and the service has got worse and worse over that time. Now we find it doesnt send the money to the accounts quickly, however debits the parent account immediately. While this is annoying, what is really unacceptable is ending up with a kid at school who cant pay for lunch, which has happened more and more regularily over the last number of months. Additionally you have no way of contacting Spriggy to sort this out, they have no call number, messaging I can find so its impossible to manage. I would recommend either good old fashioned money or getting a standard bank debit card which can be loaded up as required.

Spriggy is the best thing out there for…
Spriggy is the best thing out there for my 10 year old nephew. Many payments and games are online purchases, so giving him cash doesn’t help. He has a set spending limits and adores his card. He has to do little jobs/chores to get the money though, they are all in the app. Like his homework, cleaning his room, washing up etc. I feel better that he always has money on him, through his card. Absolutely a win-win situation.

We started off with the 1/2 method (half to savings, half to spendings) now they’re 25% spendings and 75% savings as they love watching their balance grow.
