Star Van Lines Avis 

Star Van Lines added much stress to our move. In the beginning the salesperson was good. Worked to change the estimate as we added and subtracted items. That is where the good stopped. Their communication is awful! The salesperson and customer service had no communication whatsoever. On pick up day, the salesperson had no idea that we were told of when the pickup day was. It went downhill after that. Our delivery day was supposed to be on August 16th. The company never called us to tell us when it would be. When I called customer service, she did get back to me, but the language barrier gave us incomplete information. We waited throughout the weekend for a call letting us know when it would deliver. Yesterday, I called the moving company that Star subcontracted. They got right back to me and told me they were on the way. If we did not put a tracker in with our stuff, we never would have known it was on the way and would have missed the delivery day (my daughter started a new job and couldn't take off. We were going to let the movers in and had a two-hour drive to get there). It is 24 hours later, actual moving guys (shout out to A&B) have come and gone, her stuff is unpacked, and we still have not heard from Star that it is on the way. I do not know how other Star locations are, but I would stay away from the one in Massachusetts! Also an FYI, I am an actual customer. Owner called me today to try and strongarm me into a two or three star rating.

I just moved from Cali to Florida and used Star Van Lines. Gotta say, was super worried cause it rained ALL day, thought my mattress and some boxes would be soaked. But these guys… honestly, wrapped everything so tight it didn’t even smell like rain when we opened it. Movers were kinda late tho, like 20 min, but they were super friendly and careful with my stuff.
My couch, TV and even my old guitar came safe. Price matched what they quoted, which was a relief, cause sometimes movers sneak in extra fees.
Heard from a friend Bill J. that he moved with them last year and his stuff arrived perfect too, so seems like they really know what they’re doing.
Some people online complain about delays or stuff getting scratched, but my experience was solid. Would use them again if I need to move.

They lied about everything, never showed up at all. Took my deposit money though!!! I had to find another company to move me. Still haven’t received my deposit back…FRAUDULENT!

Not even a glass) Their attention to detail and teamwork gave me complete confidence that my belongings were in the best hands. Sonya, the sales representative, was fantastic. She explained to me every detail of the process clearly and patiently, answering all my questions and making sure I felt comfortable with every step. Her professionalism and warmth made planning the move a breeze. Robert, who coordinated the move, was equally outstanding. He was respectful, professional, and always available to address my concerns. He kept me updated throughout the process and answered every question I had, no matter how small, ensuring everything went off without a hitch. The service was exceptional, the price was very reasonable, and the entire experience far exceeded my expectations. I hired Star Van Lines on a friend’s recommendation to move from my apartment to a new house. What really stood out was that the team didn’t just show up to haul boxes – they genuinely helped. They gave packing tips, brought extra boxes, even helped take down the curtains and carefully packed everything. The truck was clean, no weird smells (which mattered because we had our cat with us). The move was quick and smooth. Honestly, I’m just really glad we went with them. Solid five stars.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I waited almost five weeks. I was lied to every single day about my stuff being on its way. So many things were broken upon arrival and the 3rd party mover they contracted my stuff to wouldn’t assemble my things because he couldn’t get verification from the manager… who didn’t even live in this country. Such a gross and despicable company.

The movers arrived on time and were very efficient. Packed our items with care using blankets cardboard and wrap. Overall highly recommend the pick up team!

Everything was polite and professional – the team handled the move carefully and stayed respectful throughout. No complaints about the quality. If I had to mention something, the price could be a bit lower. But overall, I’m satisfied.

I was searching for decent movers for quite a while and finally ended up with Star Van Lines. Honestly, didn’t expect much, but they surprised me in a good way. No delays, no messing around, no broken stuff. They packed everything up, loaded it, got it to the new place and even helped set things up - all pretty quick. If you're moving anytime soon, I'd say give them a try.

I hate moving — always stressful, always last minute. This time was no different. But the guys showed up, figured things out, got everything loaded without a fuss. They did mix up a couple of boxes, but nothing major. In the end, everything arrived in one piece. Made things a bit easier. Thanks.

José Carlos - The best service and very detailed with handling my furniture. He works hard, fast and takes time to make sure everything is covered properly. He is very personable, friendly and enthusiastic. Most importantly, I immediately trusted him and the company and at the end I'm glad I did! Thank you so much:)

Jose Carlos was very hardworking and resilient. He brought boxes snd. asterisks that needed. He worked and his own and got things done promptly and professionally.

This company rescheduled my pick 3 times in three days and was still late - knowing my storage unit closed early. The. Left for “tape” at Walmart-give minute drive-and returned about an hour later.

They then charged me to hold the furniture overnight. Over 3.5 hours late the next morning. Would only accept cash or a direct deposit to their movers.

Almost every piece of my mother’s antique furniture was damaged due to their packaging and mishandling. Now, I cannot post a bad review on their website, nor can I get them to return a call or answer emails.

Horrific experience …compounded by the fact that my mother had just died weeks before! Do NOT use this service.

I never thought I'd ever say this about moving, but... I even liked it. The team arrived on time, calmly assembled the kitchen (and I hate taking it apart), carried everything carefully - they didn't even forget grandma's vase. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised.

I was moving with my wife and a small child — I thought it would be a nightmare. But the guys from Star Van Lines surprised me: they arrived on time, immediately figured out what and how to pack. They took into account that the baby was sleeping in the apartment — they tried not to make noise, worked quickly but carefully. They even labeled the toy boxes separately. It seems like a small thing, but you can feel the smart approach. Everything was delivered without a single scratch. I'm glad I didn't skimp on service — I got a smooth move. Thanks to them.

I was moving out of town and decided to try Star Van Lines — a friend recommended them. At first I was worried about how everything would go, but it turned out in vain. They arrived on time, didn’t forget anything, the guys worked calmly, without fuss. There was a moment when we didn’t immediately understand how best to take out a large cabinet — we discussed it, found a solution, didn’t waste time. Everything arrived intact, I was especially worried about the glass table — they packed it conscientiously. The price matched what we discussed in advance. No pathos: normal, honest service, as it should be.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! SKETCHY MIDDLE MAN BROKER!!

Promised me a delivery date which passed without me being able to contact them. When I finally got into contact, they promised me a second date which then passed AGAIN. This happened one more time, missing 3 promised delivery dates in total over the course of 1.5 months. They are unable to tell me any information about the status of my belongings (location, update, estimated delivery) and it has been over 40 days since the first estimated delivery date. I AM SEEKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THEM.

My quoted time for arrival by movers was 11 am. 8 pm and numerous attempts to get in touch later the guy shows up and tells me he can’t move me because they quoted it wrong. Rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. 9 moves with the military and I’ve NEVER had such a poor experience. I would not recommend them for any reason.

I was moving after a divorce and needed to move my things to a new apartment quickly and without stress. I found Star Van Lines, called them, and they answered calmly, explaining everything without rushing. They arrived on time, packed the furniture and appliances carefully, even my old coffee table, which I had grown attached to, was packed in a couple of layers, although it didn’t look particularly valuable. The guys worked smoothly, without chatter or fuss. The only downside was that they forgot to take one box from the storage room (my fault, I didn’t remind them), so I had to pick it up myself later. But otherwise, everything was honest and to the point. Not ideal, but worthy. Four stars because I’m not thrilled, but I respect them.
