Nick was a fantastic tutor. He went above and beyond for my son building his confidence and getting him the grade he needed for college. Regular feedback was given and we were updated every step of the way. Nick even offered a monthly call where he answered all our questions and kept us in the loop. Id highly reccomend Nick to anyone if they are wanting to help build their childs confidence and acheive the results they need.

My son had group sessions tuition from Nick from September till his GCSEs in year 11, and it really helped. My son got 3 in both English and Literature mocks and ended up getting 8 in English and 5 in literature in the actual exams. Nick was engaging and enthusiastic, provided clearly structured lessons, a lot of additional revision materials and comprehensive feedback for all homework. Communication with me was also good. I was not sure about group sessions to begin with but they worked great for my son. Usually there were around 4 to 5 students online and they all did some individual work and compared/discussed it. All lessons were recorded and recordings were uploaded via Google Classrooms. Thank you Nick.

Nick was engaging during my lessons and answered my questions effectively and in a way which was easy to understand. He was extremely flexible in lessons and allowed me to focus specifically on what I wanted and couldn’t quite grasp yet. Even outside of sessions he was responsive to messages on Google classroom. Nick has been a huge part of my daughter’s GCSE journey, and we could not be more grateful.

All tutoring was online, but it never felt distant or impersonal. Nick set up Google Classrooms, sent homework, supported her with the work school had set and somehow made English revision feel achievable rather than like a slow descent into teenage despair.

He went well beyond simply turning up for lessons. He was organised, encouraging and genuinely invested in her doing well, even when she was convinced she was “definitely going to fail” approximately 47 times a week. The sessions were also very reasonably priced and fantastic value for the level of support, preparation and effort Nick gave.

The results speak for themselves: A*s, As and Bs, which, in my old language, means she absolutely smashed it. She has now been offered places at two different sixth forms and is going on to study Politics, History and Psychology, on her way towards a law degree.

I had Nick for my tutoring last year when I was failing my English language, I had a 3 and felt hopeless not knowing where I was going wrong. But he helped me steer in the right direction and showed me techniques, word types and all the work I needed to improve.
