Stocalfe Response Avis 

My advice is to avoid this company at all costs! - I thought I was contacting Tesco insurance, but this company seem to have hijacked the claim. At no point have they explained that they are an independent Claims Management Company, who are only interested in providing credit for repairs and courtesy cars and, if they are unsuccesful in claiming the money back from the insurance company, leave you responsible for all the bills incurred! One month after my no fault accident, nothing has happened and I am still driving about in an accident damaged vehicle. When I phoned to complain about the poor service I was receiving, I was shocked to be told that, without informing me, they had decided not to persue the case! I have now contacted the real Tesco Insurance, who know nothing at all about this claim! I am now re starting my claim with Tesco, but am a month behind with my claim (Thanks Stocalfe!). Throughout my dealings with Stocalfe, I have found them to be very unhelpful - they do not answer E Mails, do not phone back and as for Luke, I found him useless! (perhaps you could pass that on to him, as you have the praises he has received on here). It would be interesting to see if I get a response from Stocalfe for this review, as they seem reluctant to reply to 1 star reviews!

Stocalfe was brilliant from start to finish, they were very easy to get hold of if needed too. I received my hire car that got delivered to my home address extremely fast as I needed it to get to work.

I would definitely recommend them to all my mates.

Everything appeared to be well with this company, money was recieved promptly, call handlers were efficient. The issue is that they don't state there's a possibility the third party insurers won't pay for the credit hire agreement which then means your liable for the costs. Seems to be a common occurrence with this company I've found two separate cases which have also had to deal with solicitors the company have provided as a result of this.

I don't normally leave reviews but i just had to say that Luke was excellent he explained all my options very well in a very clear manner, his customer service was brilliant, coming from a customer service background it was just good to see/hear

Absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish

Stocalf have been brilliant from start to finish. The team were brilliant with me from the initial get go sorting my car roadside to dealing with my hire car that came extremely quickly and then the ongoing process of dealing with the claim, taking the stress away from me having to go through my insurance. I would Definately recommend them to all my friends and family going forward. Excellent service all round!! Thanks Stocalf

Awful. Faulty hire car. Broke twice. Expected me to fix it

Following a non fault car accident last year my husband got in touch with Stocalfe who arranged collection of the car and next day provided him with a courtesy car. He signed what he thought were handover documents and all was well. A month later we received monies for our car which had been written off and a week later the courtesy car was returned. All good so far and we were pleased with their communications. However, yesterday 4 months or so later, we found out the other parties insurance company will not pay the invoice Stocalf has sent them for the hire car charges (at this stage the invoice was for just under £24,000 for 40 days of hire) and now their solicitors have written to us asking for both our financials, bank statements etc and how we've paid for our new car so please be careful accepting a courtesy car from them as it’s actually a hire car credit form you are signing for which was never explained to my husband, just papers shoved under his nose to sign quickly. Not his best move I know but he’s dyslexic and was stressed he had put his trust in others. This is terribly frightening for us as pensioners and has added angst to go with our current health woes. Not sure how this will end 🥹
Post note: after 19 months of worry and having received court papers with my husbands name on them taking other driver to court for the £24,000, we finally got a call from the solicitors saying the third parties insurance company had settled and there was no further recourse to my husband.

I was unfortunately involved in an accident which wasn’t my fault. Stocalfe responded really quickly and I was given a hire car the following day due to my car being in road worthy. Luke and Jack couldn’t have handled my claim any better and was able to obtain liability from the other drivers insurance. The communication was clear and consistent, no questions was left unanswered. I can’t recommend this company enough!
