Storage King Australia - North Wollongong Avis 

Amazing deal for $1 for the first month can’t complain about that . Would of been 5 stars except for the recent Sunday when I was there and I needed to attend the toilets on location and discovered they were locked so had to duck out to a public toilet . I found out later it wasn’t their fault that one of the customers had closed it shut it but in saying that there was no back up plan as in an emergency option in case that happened ; key perhaps located somewhere so it was very inconvenient for me that day where I lost a good 30-40 minutes of my personal Sunday time. Other than that would have been 5 stars

I have been with Storage King for several years, having various sized units, after displacement from my Wollongong home due to Family Law/Divorce. I live some two hours away in the Southern Highlands, however, my two adult Sons still live in the Illawarra. I have in the past, negotiated with Management (Sarah Riley and Emily Traynor) regarding a 'discounted storage rate,' which I have then locked in for a period of 12 months, as my storage needs are on going. I HAVE NOTHING BUT PRAISE for the managers mentioned above! (as reflected in previous surveys/reviews)..................HOWEVER, due to Storage King's new GREEDY 'PROFIT before SERVICE,' strategies regarding price increases, which now will be factored into the fees if a customer wishes to take a unit, or a couple in my circumstances, over an extended period, I find myself shopping around with competitors, with Kennards being approximately $100 per month cheaper (WHICH I can lock in for 12 months)

I have over a six year period spent in excess of $20,000 and have loyalty to the North Wollongong Site.....However, I am now in the process of removing my stored items from my Long Term Storage Facility and will find an alternate Storage Solution for my needs.

I am positive that other Long-Term Tenants/Customers have also been affected by these unfair and greedy strategies to maximise profit to the detriment of Loyal and long-term customers.

Again, I thank both Emily and the former Manager Sarah of North Wollongong for their outstanding support over the past 6 years.

Both ladies that I spoke to were extremely helpful. They were polite, friendly and understanding of my situation. The storage was easy to access, clean and was suitably priced.

Very responsive to messages left to call me back. When I did speak with staff, whether over phone or in person, they were unfailingly pleasant, efficient and helpful.

Outstanding customer service by Emily, nothing was too much trouble. I was under immense stress during my move, the team was kind, helpful and very accomodatiing to my needs.

Darrell from Wollongong assisted us on arrival on 4th Sept 2024 and made the transition very easy for us. Staff are friendly and only too willing to help out. Must give the removalist MAS Removals a shoutout for all their help with what was a difficult situation in retrieving my furniture from my daughter's property. Both companies made the day a lot less stressful for me. Thank you to everyone. Will be recommending them both.

Kind efficient staff & clean secure storage.

Excellent customer service from the fill in Manager. I requested a better price which they reviewed and where able to do better. They took the time to explain everything in detail which assisted me in making my mind up. I could get cheaper elsewhere however the location was no where near as convenient.

The manager of the local storage rang me to see what he could do for to store my camper trailer- what he offered was great and swayed me to take up the offer - until we sell the camper
