i been on ebay 16 years

sold only 2 items for £230 an £260 i paid 30 pound seller fee an 26 pound them my ebay acount said 0 owing i also owed nothing before

two days later im looking at my seller account now says £75 owing what the helllll!!!!!!!!! these company are big thievs thev`e lost many good ebay seller

Pretty much appalling customer service & new rip off fees have ruined what used to be a great way to recycle used items & help with paying for my kids clothes.
Ebay have tried to make out that they are saving sellers money by cutting out the "middle man" on payment by handling payments themselves, rather than it going through PayPal who used to take a cut on top of eBay fees. Total BS. They (ebay) now charge 12.8% fees (was 10%) however they also now charge 30p per item as a money handling fee plus about the same for any small adjustments such as "buy it now" which they've craftily set as a default to each listing. I've always found it annoying that they charge fees on p&p, but now, if I sell a kids item for £1, I can lose any money made on fees for the item, the postage & then the 30p fee.
The customer service team don't seem to get why I find this such a problem!
Will be looking into other selling sites.

Same as others except the ebay seller was naria_store who used 'other courier' and trackingace.net to claim that they delivered my £19 item. My experience with ebay was shocking, they told me that the only way to get a refund was to provide proof of failure to deliver from trackingace.net and 'other courier' which is impossible, I have contacted citizens advice who will hopefully take this to trading standards, I urge anyone else in my situation to do the same.
I will not be using Ebay after this experience. It is a loophole that they are unwilling to close.

Last time I use them.

I bought a log splitter from top-mall shopping on ebay. Did the usual checks to see if co. was ok. After 25 hours machine stopped working. Seller asked me to do various things to try to get it going again. Nothing worked. In hindsight a delaying tactic so I wouldn't be able to claim through ebay. Totally dishonest company, ebay not much better either. Tried to claim through PayPal who have dismissed claim because Seller has said I've altered the engine and repaired it. All lies. Be very careful who you buy from on eBay, china's reputation gets worse. Will not be buying from ebay again, their refund policy stinks. Can't even leave a review of topmall on ebay, their ratings are a total fabrication.

I have been with Ebay more than 10 years as loyal buyer and seller.
My account has been suspended without a reasons and when i tried to get in touch with the costumer service
I couldn't seek for advices or help to understand the reason and to get my account back again.
Instead i was restricted for calling so i had to open a live chat and i was connected with Colin. He wrote that my account was suspended for good, again NO reasons.and he disconnected from the chat.
I feel completely shocked to have been treated this way .Really bad customer service and unappropriated behaviour, i won t recommend Ebay to any one!!!

I created an account a few years ago and never used it for anything at all, then the account got indefinitely suspended for no reason, contacted customer service and absolutly no information why it got suspended and refuse to appeal, terrible company.

I am an ebay seller and this company is just taking a mickey. They take nearly 10% from every sale [about £400 a month from me.. the cost of renting an apartment] make Billions, yet they are most unhelpful if something goes wrong and their website have become so complicated, obsolete and NOT seller friendly it is a joke. Do you receive an email with a customer saying something about the order? Ok, there is a link to that order.. you go to that order linked page and it is completely useless, so you have to copy the order number, go to the sold items, search for the order number... you get where I am going with this.. 5 minutes to do something that should require 5 seconds. Another example.. you list an item and put the dimensions of the packaging in there.. you would expect that when you go and print the postage, the dimensions are taken into account and pick the correct postage [letter, large letter, parcel etc].. instead nope! If the item is less than 100gr, the letter size is select automatically [while you specified on the listing packaging dimension that it is 2cm high.. so it can't be a letter!!!]. Seriously! Hour wasted on a old piece of crap technology. Not to mention they can do whatever they like [remove listings at will, restrict accounts] and get away with the "we don't share internal information". A complete disgrace. As always there is a positive side to this, it makes ppl wanting to build their own website, one that do not rely on racketing fees and threats of actions taken against the account without giving any proof of what you have been doing wrong. Seriously, I can't wait to run as far as possible from this bunch of cow milking business.

Awful nowadays, OK for buying if you can't find it elsewhere buti have given up selling on there - way way too expensive after ebay then PayPal fleece you for their cut. Corporate greed might be their downfall if they don't change soon. Just look at all the reviews.

absolutely rubbish a week and half ago bought a computer the item was removed from the site no explanation given, and no refund so im losing money and computer,

When you are nobody and no one can call you. Buyer protection? Don't tell me ... Complete indifference and helplessness, everything is fine as long as you have no problems ... The story of how the support service threw me and what to do if it is against you ...

Great place to sell items, but utterly dreadful experience using their process for settling fees as a seller.
I won’t ever use eBay again.

If i could give this an even lower review then trust me I would- terrible company, terrible customer service, left me out of pocket!

Sellers have no protection and are literally getting robbed by eBay- they are taking advantage of the people who keep their business running.

If you sell a genuine item and a buyer says it isn’t genuine- they get refund plus you have to pay postage return leaving you out of pocket.

If you sent an item and have tracking proof but the buyer claims they haven’t received it- they get a refund leaving you out of pocket.

You may as well just go outside and burn the items with money as that would have the same affect on the seller.

All of this as well as the original selling fee which is so high and just a joke!

I have been a loyal customer for 15 years and sold over 50 items last month alone but will not be using eBay anymore after the way they have treated me.

eBay private seller fees are absolutely terrible, I do buy a lot of thing from eBay and occasionally sell the odd thing, recently advertised go-peds non runners for £400, eBay took a charge of £45 seller fees which I feel Is an absolute disgrace and on top of that PayPal charged another £13.62 for paying in, will never sell again in eBay, no wonder everyone now uses marketplace!!!!

Bought a table off seller on ebay, table never turned up, seller and ebay was not interested, the courier have said they had delivered but i have cctv it was not delivered. Driver stole my table as he said it was delivered, please do use xdp express because now i have lost my money.
