IVE SPENT DAYS RUNNING ROUND IN CIRCLES DUE TO EBAYS POORLY CONSTRUCTED RETURNS PROCESS!
I am absolutely appalled at the fact that I have tried timelessly to contact a seller and eBay for their help in returning an item. I've tried emailing eBay, I've tried emailing the seller, I even tried calling eBay customer support and it's literally just a message telling me to go back to the same pages I've already been to to return this item. DISGUSTING! IVE SPENT DAYS RUNNING ROUND IN CIRCLES DUE TO EBAYS POORLY CONSTRUCTED RETURNS PROCESS! I have also spent over £11 returning this item which cost me £43.99 in the first place, I am very distraught and unhappy. Ebay, if you care about your reputation at all, get your act together and contact me back ASAP
u die now!!!!!!!!!
BEWARE OF EBAY CHINA SCAMS
BEWARE. Despite having rules for both buyers and sellers EBay just play the market for their own gain. I have purchased an inverter for my motorhome from LEICESTER GB. 5 months after it doesn't work. Asked seller to exchange or refund, he tells me I have to send it back to CHINA. at my expense. Ebay refuse to do anything despite having a rule that sellers MUST declare their country of origin. PayPal have a money back guarantee but only if I pay £87.40p shipping cost. Seller states that the item must be in original packaging etc leaving the door open to claiming it was damaged etc despite asking me to take it apart. Nice scam going on here. After my complaint EBay told me they would investigate my claim on ctgoody108 the seller. The investigation would be internal and I wouldn't be informed of the outcome. So a cover up is on the cards. The seller has since changed his name to GB INVERTERS. based in China. The joke is on me to the tune of £149.00
eBay experience has been a great disappointment …
eBay experience has been a great disappointment. People seem to bid for your items with no intention to complete the deal it’s a far cry from proper auctions. A real waste of time and money because you’ve paid Ebays fees and got nothing in return. Is it time EBay changed its approach or shut up shop!
Okay website
Okay website, but some people scam a lot there. It's disgusting to see scalpers selling PS5s for around triple or double the retailer price.
Help what happened to Ebay I have 150…
Help what happened to Ebay I have 150 items all great price way less then the original price and I had no salle since mid January. I used to sell 3/4 of my items a day. Ebay changed something but I do not understand what happened
I’ve used eBay for years but recently…
I’ve used eBay for years but recently they are appalling. Terrible customer service and the billing is horrendous.
I’ve refunded a buyer and then eBay had charged me too and refunded them again. They have been in touch with me throughout, saying I’m owed the moment and then... today, after 3 months of correspondence their final reply is that it’s been more than 30 days since the sale... unbelievable as I was sent an email 12 March saying I’d be paid in 10 days.
Have tried to raise a formal complaint for the last 12 calls and never heard anything back.
Avoid!
Charity treated like criminals!
As a genuine, registered charity, we needed an eBay account in which to purchase goods, so we set up an eBay account. At the same time we set up a Paypal account but Paypal require a lot more info, like bank account, proof of bank account, charity registration, official letter of authorised charity individual who will conduct the charity's business on their behalf etc. A lot more stringent. Anyway, Paypal account approved and set up. We made our first purchase, payment through Paypal, all went through fine. Within an hour of making our first purchase, an email came through from eBay stating that our account had been permanently suspended, no reason given just policy info! I have tried several ways in which to contact them to ascertain why our account was suspended, (ebay is very difficult to contact these days). I got through via online web chat and customer call back. Each time, we were told things that we already knew through eBay's initial email to us, no explanation as to why was given just policy blah-blah-blah. No one from eBay wants to listen and I just think that this is disgusting behaviour towards a genuine charity that works extremely hard, (all committee members are volunteers), and supports residents in an area of extreme poverty and deprivation. eBay has treated us as if we were criminals and certainly left us feeling as if we were! We fully understand and appreciate their community safety policies and standards but not being given a chance to find out why or what happened is so unfair! If they had given us the opportunity to discuss the matter, we may have been able to resolve the issues but as I said earlier, they just don't want to listen!
Rude customer service! Unhelpful!
I contacted, eBay customer service regarding a JML product that did not do as said on the description and my mum has been using it for a few weeks and have noticed no change what so ever.
I contacted eBay because the seller was rude. Rajat was extremely rude. And very unhelpful. It is patronising the way he came across. He just didn’t want to help.
Because my mum is at risk and with coronavirus we said we couldn’t go to post office because of she’s at high risk and it’s important for the people around to follow as well the guild lines but he didn’t care. As I was messaging he cut of.
They should also put returns labels and bags in there to save time and especially with those who are technical experts!
The person is Darren from Hannsaverscouk
Extremely, disappointed. Will be closing my account. He was rude and said I’ve only been new to eBay and don’t know the policies!
Terrible customer service
I've had a terrible experience dealing with a Seller on Ebay who would not help when my order/parcel was stolen from my doorstep.
Annoyingly, it was the delivery company's fault for leaving my valuable parcel outside without authorisation, however the seller refused to investigate, prompting me to raise a dispute with Ebay.
Ebay (& Paypal) were useless. Even after I had provided confirmation that the delivery company had admitted fault, they refused to help since the seller was insisting that the delivery was made (based on a false signature forged by the courier). Thankfully I contacted the delivery company myself and, after 3 months of going back and forth, eventually got compensation but I have lost faith in Ebay. I will only use them to buy cheap things that i can afford to lose.
Also, I used to sell on Ebay but not anymore! That platform has become a joke, too many fees!
beware of eBay.
Thing is with eBay.. its all about their revenue
you will be billed every month although you haven't sold a thing..its tricky to keep on top of because of the way they bill you. they go in favour of the customer so be very careful when conducting multiple items because if any get refunded you will not get the fees refunded on every occasion as they will happily overlook that
my experience was with the only dispute I actually put through because the always customer wins no matter on the reason, so I never generally allow to to go that far and often happy to do without their involvement if a customer is not happy but in this case they charged me £14 for doing so despite the fact I had already been told they had ruled in my favour and told me to take no further action as they were fighting my case (a little surprised I must say) only to bill me for the refund and a further £14 for their trouble. (guessing they have taken up a solicitor like fee as well now).. fees they did not warn or make me aware of..

Just a quick note to say a big 'Thank You' to the Concierge Service at Ebay!
You guys are second to none in knowledge, to the length you will go to solve problems and to the way you have always supported me in my sometimes difficult dealings with 'Icky Sellers'!
No help at all
The customer service is useless bought at item and it never arrived.
Extremely cheap items
Extremely cheap, low quality and damage items in high price. Please don't wast your money to order in ebay.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HEYO_39 ON EBAY
I didn't even want to rate this 1 star!! I purchased 6 rolls of Artificial Hedging from the seller heyo_39(10434) on ebay on 9th March, £160.00 in total. The parcels were supposed to be delivered by Hermes on Monday 15th March and I am still waiting on them!! Hermes have picked up the parcel but the tracking has not moved since 13th March. I contacted the seller to advise this and they said that they would contact Royal Mail to see were my parcels were which I thought was odd to start with as it is not Royal Mail who were delivering my parcels!! I went back to the seller and advised that it is Hermes who are delivering my parcels and since then they have not provided me with any update and are refusing me a refund. I escalated this problem to Ebay but they have closed my case without issuing me a refund as they said the seller is not covered by the Ebay Money Back Guarantee and have not offered any further support, shocking customer service. Thankfully I paid via Paypal and hopefully get my money back this way but have to wait a few weeks to get this back. Be careful when ordering on Ebay, check that your purchase is covered by the Money Back guarantee and also avoid buying from this seller. Finding it hard to understand why ebay/seller would think that it is acceptable to pay for goods that you have not received and refuse to refund your money? You should not have to fight for your own money to be refunded when you have nothing to show for it. Shame on you Ebay and Heyo. Will not be ordering from Ebay again as there after customer care is very disappointing!!!
Astoundingly bad
Astoundingly bad. eBay reassure you that it's safe, seller cons you, doesn't deliver etc eBay have it covered. I had a run of items that did not turn up at the start of price gouging due to covid, I had bought items at regular price and suprise surprise the sellers didn't send. Their feedback full of angry buyers who hadn't got their items. I got the money back but then I had a damaged item sent. In the middle of this return eBay kicked me off for making to many return claims. They would not speak to me. I couldn't finish the claim. I had returned the item already and never got my money back. EBAY IS NOT A SAFE MARKETPLACE. Riddled with con-men,liars and people who are just not any good at describing things or completing their listing properly. I have had a seller admit that an item was not 925 silver just silver plate and they laughed at me because they knew eBay would do nothing about it. Ps 925 stamp does not prove something is silver it's not a hallmark. eBay know this and they know people are decieving customers. They could at least expose this lie but they don't. EBAY ARE SCUM
Do I have to give flea bay even 1…
Do I have to give flea bay even 1 star?!!!!!
Forget your money back guarantee with this company.
Bought an item and was sent the wrong thing....Stated my reason which was that it was the wrong sized item and found out that because I should have said it was the wrong item....I will apparently have to pay for the return postage.....So is not the right sized item the same thing as the wrong item?
eBay is just a con and the staff they have taking the calls are from Outer Mongolia or someplace where clear English is not heard.
Told them to keep the blummin’ item and will put it down to experience.....Just one word of advice for all reading this though.....I you have a thought that buying online is ‘convenient’....Perhaps it is if your buying on the right kind of site......Fleabay is deffo not fit for purpose on any level or for ANY item and when purchases go wrong it takes an age before you resolve any issues.....That is IF you manage to.....It’s a con and best to buy from established companies rather than the minority of incompetent sellers.....Just recently I know of a purchase made on there where the sent item was fake.
Stay clear...big con
Have not sold anything with eBay in years. The first time I sell something I get an invoice for 10% of the amount I sold the product for.
Nowhere is it made clear that this is the amount I will be charged.
What makes it worse I spoke to a rep called Sarah who said ‘I totally understand where your coming from’ ‘ to see this you have to click something which will bring down the 10% fee’
She also said there was a promotion on where I COULD have paid just £1 for the listing but it’s ‘done’ now so there’s nothing she can do.
So to sum up I’m paying 100 times the amount I could have paid and I have been misslead to believe I wouldn’t be paying anything.
If this doesn’t get resolved with in the next 24 hours I will complain to the FCA and you will have lost a customer for life .
Shallow Simply Shallow
I am not writing this because of a particular incident, I am writing this after talking to many people and reading your reviews. I have been with eBay since they started in the USA a see that they have lost their values, direction and community spirit that they talk about so much. They should have been the biggest, even in old Hollywood movies people used mention “I bought it” or “sold it on eBay” not anymore. Like everyone I can list many bad experiences and faults with eBay but there are some positives too. The basics are they can talk a good game but don’t play like they talk or even fairly. Yes currently sales maybe on the way up but so are many e-commerce sites this is down to the growing trend of buying online but also because of lockdowns and the fact that the majority of retail is closed. Most savvy companies would use the opportunity to build and keep the momentum going. eBay look at sales and buyer but do not in anyway value there sellers and I don’t feel they realise that without the sellers they would have no buyers. They do not respect people that have been loyal for a long time and made them who they are thus far. They cut people off, close accounts and feel they do not need to justify or give reasons. They do not try to hold on to anything or reach an amicable solution, they push them out and close the door. These are sometimes people that have built a business and reputation up over many years and grown to rely on it but that does not count for anything at all. Sometimes these people will go off and do better elsewhere hence my title Shallow. I have no idea who makes the decisions or even if he has a head on his shoulders or business background but there are many people that could lead better and generate more revenue.
