Just what I wanted. Delivered on time. Good value.

In order to prevent my hubby stressing over the fear of dehydrating in the current climate 🤔and the need to keep his Budweiser chilled I purchased the Subcold Cave50 solid door beer fridge in black for the summerhouse and it is an amazing product ! It arrived well packaged and was delivered 2 days after ordering. I had read reviews expressing that the fridge was not as advertised and very noisy but what I received was exactly as described (black interior) and an acceptable 'hum' from the motor. I am delighted with this little fridge and highly recommend ! 👍

Delivered as promised.
Shelves are not adjustable as advertised, struggling to accommodate economic holding of wine/beer bottles, cans etc.
Very noisy (rattling) on start up, settled down now.
Sides of unit are very hot, presumably as its working hard in current UK heatwave conditions ambient 28 deg.
Does the job though, drinks nice and cold

Not entirely happy with their warranty process.

Brought a Subcold Cave-50 in April 2026. It started making loud noises, frosting & the entirely stopped working.

Filled out their warranty claim form 30.06.26. They came back and advise that they would send out a part based on what they think it is, to my home for me to fit at the back of my fridge.

Even though not comfortable with this, they assured that it didn’t need to be done by a technical / professional Engineer. I asked what the part was or what the suspected fault was, twice, and they kind of refused to answer.

They sent the part out, I replaced it, the fridge isn’t working again. It actually said on the instructions that this needs to be carried out by a professional, even though over email they said it was “simple”.
Reached out to them again 12.07.26 and they’re now asking different questions to assess the next steps of the warranty claim.

I brought this via Amazon, who has said I can return the fridge at my own cost and then have a refund & the postage refunded after.

I thought I’d try Subcold’s Warranty first, instead of claiming back costs. All I can see after the numerous emails exchanged is that they will do anything with no proper assessment but simply guesses, to replace different parts but not your actual fridge?

£150 for a fridge that broke down after 2 months and in this heat without a mini-fridge that they’re turning into a one month repair at this rate.

DO NOT BUY.

It’s a joke.

Delivery was tops but - I had a problem and tried to call customer service !!!! Good luck with that
