Suregreen Avis 17

No complaints about Surgreen but the delivery company, Evri, are hopeless. Parcel delivered into their hands on July 30th. It is now August 7th and still no parcel and no notice of when it will be delivered.

I ordered 12 x 2ft by 1ft galvanised mesh panels from Suregreen on 23/04/2025. Only half the order arrived the following week damaged and I have still yet to receive the other 6 x panels which they have had to re-order seemingly because their chosen courier DX! have lost or even may well have stolen them. I made a formal and internal complaint on 02/05/2025 but have received no response to date. Customer services advised that they would re-order and send and I advised that this was sloppy and strongly advised them not to contract DX as they are 'gangsters' and unreliable which they/he at Suregreen agreed with as they accepted that many other deliveries through DX had gone wrong/missing. So, Suregreen why do business with them in the first place because they are unreliable and very cheap and offer a sub-standard service? I'll leave that one with you my fellow customers!! Sales Team as ever are always keen to taking your money upfront and then the fun begins right?!! Happy days!

When is a 6ft gate not a 6ft gate?
Answer - When you buy from Sure-green.
Website said it was 1800mm (Close enough) However the delivered gate measured 1750mm (otherwise known as 5ft 9ins)
Customer service advised they allow 50mm for clearance and that this is stated on their web site.
Maybe it is but what is more obvious was the 1800mm dimension shown next to the picture of the gate that I used when placing my order.
Customer services said I could arrange for it to be collected but would have to pay the £30 transport costs - for a £72 gate! By the way my total order was in excess of £800. When I checked the rest of the items I found the 7ft fence posts were 2 inches short & the 6 inch high gravel boards were only 5.5 inches.
Sure-green may be cheap but just be careful what you buy from them.

What went wrong ....

1. We had major issues placing the order online as my credit card was not being accepted that resulted in me leaving work early that day to sort it out with the Suregreen call centre and I found the process a real pain especially considering my bank said that it was not them but Suregreen that was stopping the payment so to save any further time I purchased the goods through PayPal
2. Whilst sorting out the order issues we asked for some help making sure that the goods got delivered that week that was not a lot to ask considering we were placing the order on a Monday
3. By Wednesday we had not received a delivery date so we chased it up to be then informed that the items would be delivered on the Sunday, unacceptable as the goods were supposed to be delivered to my client address so I reluctantly agreed that they could be delivered to my home address
4. The driver turned up at 7.50am on the Sunday morning but instead of knocking on my door he opened my side garden gates, backed in and started off loading the materials without my consent. We have a large dog that will escape at any opportunity, so luckily he was not in the garden at the time. When we challenged the driver as to why he hadn't knocked and why he let himself into our driveway without our consent all we got was loads of "sorrys" and a "I didn't want to wake you up"

After offloading the goods the driver drove off and LEFT THE GATES OPEN .... Pathetic or what!

Purchased 5 oak 150mmx150mm post from this company last year and have gigantic cracks on them which are not normal I can almost fit my fingers tips deep into them and they will not replace despite them stating on the website they are suitable for heavy items and structures they are now back tracking and saying they are only for landscaping purposes. Customer service are not helpful at all and they are not willing to replace. Despite the fact it was done at my daughters nursery which is a charity run nursery and funds are limited! Avoid at all costs not as advertised at all !! Not one bit happy!

Did not provide the product as advertised and then ignored my complaint, sent incomprehensible text regarding delivery.

Selling products which do not do as advertised, garden mesh does not do anything as described on their website, after much to and fro and utter rubbish responses in total contradiction to their item description, finally got out of it by saying they are 'suregreen' now and not 'suregreen ltd' so they're not interested, unfortunately a nunch of con artists, please avoid at all costs.

I paid £5.95 for next day delivery,it took 2 days. Contacted them regarding refund twice. On both occasions told the goods we're delivered, ignored the fact I asked for refund of delivery cost.

If you have deadlines for your project. If you value customer service. If you want the products you ordered. You should probably stay away from this company.
The their website says 3-7 working days for delivery. Don’t trust this. I ordered 4 bulk bags of top soil on a Friday and a bulk bag of aggregate on the Saturday. I emailed them on the following Wednesday regarding the top soil for an update. They said they had over sold on the item, but just got some in that day and it would be sent out. I called them the following Monday about it to be told it was still not dispatched. I cancelled the order for a refund.
The aggregate….? Ordered on the Saturday. I called them 6 working days later to be told it would be dispatched that day. I then get a notification from the delivery company saying my order would arrive today between 1pm and 5pm. 5:15pm, no delivery, no notification. I call them up to be told “ oh sorry, someone was meant to call you to let you know the driver got stuck in traffic. No delivery today” Today is 8 working days since my order.

Delivery times terrible 6 weeks before I got my delivery then 1 item damaged yes they will replace 2 weeks later still waiting just been told another 10 days

Have to say this would of been a 1 star review but after a supervisor took over and stepped up to the mark I have to be honest and I’m overwhelmed with the product and the customer service I ended up receiving in the end. Anthony took responsibility for this delivery and got into the transportation company and pulled it out of the bag, I do feel for this company as once it leaves them they are reliant on the haulage companies then keeping their side of the bargain.

The products are fantastic and I managed to get a pallet of Oak Sleepers for the same money soft wood were locally individually so product wise they are fantastic.

My advice would be plan your project with good time and allow longer for delivery simply because across the country deliveries are crazy during these times.

But credit where credit is due Sure Green were awesome and highly recommend this company

Having bought their garden stakes previously and been impressed with the quality and delivery, we were happy to buy a whole pallet of tanalised sleepers to build raised beds to saving my aching back. The sleepers were of good quality and delivered when they said they would be. Delivery driver was friendly and helpful, but could only deliver kerbside as he was in such a huge vehicle. However, we managed to take them down to the house (long drive) in stages in the back of the car. All in all, very pleased with Suregreen and will use them again.

I ordered 70 2.8m sleepers with a 10 day window on delivery. They arrived well within that time being delivered by Pallet Force.
Product was of a high standard with each sleeper being a grade A.
I can honestly say that Suregreen and Pallet Force make a brilliant team and they deserve a huge pat on the back.

First rate Company. Great prices on bamboo screening and delivered to the Isle of Wight within a week. Top notch customer support - very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Don’t get this company confused with sure-green who are a very good company. I ordered an item and they took my money saying the item had been shipped. It was supposed to be overnight but a week later it had not arrived. I phoned and was told they would talk to the delivery company. Later that day a man phoned me and said they did’t have the item and wouldn’t have it for over a month. I’m now waiting for my money to be reimbursed. Don’t use this company they are very dishonest.

Extremely poor customer services-staff talking over me and not listening to me on the telephone. They continued despite me informing them they were being rude and coming across awfully. They didn’t inform Tuffnells curriers of the delivery date I specified and therefore they tried to deliver when I was not available in work. When I tried to reschedule a delivery, Tuffnells told me to pick up the goods in my vehicle from them. I demanded a refund, told Tuffnells to return the goods back to the company however Suregreen has taken far too much time to contact the curriers to confirm the goods are returning to them. I still haven’t received my refund despite Suregreen stating they have issued it. Do not use this company.
