Best Sword Market - Period

Just entered the sword community very recently and let me tell you it is confusing on what steel is right for cutting, for training, what is battle ready.... Swordis is phenomenal when it comes to that. Even though I asked so many questions (they probably laughed at some of them and I don't blame them) , David and Vali were super patient wi th me and to be frank, outstanding and left me speechless. I ordered a Viking Sword, and got all the maintenance tips I could ever need. Then I continued with a custom katana and I even got photos on what type of options I selected as well as highly detailed photos before shipping it out, and the shipping? I got a link that I clicked and had the entire progress of my package backed up by updates from David. The sword was a dream come true, and I did damage the scabbard while trying to sheath the blade in a samurai way even within the first two days of having it. Once I told them this, they ended up sending me a complentary scabbard replacement.

The whole experience has been nothing but amazing and I THANK you for all the care and attention. Looking forward to many more purchases!

I have had nothing BUT positive action…

I have had bothing BUT positive action from David and Vali of Swordis! I was one of the customers who purchased the Shadow Dancer S5 hira zukuri which Matthew Jensen’s sword review questioned the blade steel. After watching Jensen’s video it really made me question my choice to buy from Shadow Dancer,but David and Vali went to great lengths to give me an offer that was hard to refuse.

Hanbon Forge NagamakI

I purchased the Hanbon Forge Nagamaki and was very pleased with both the product and the service. The sword arrived in great condition and matched the quality I was hoping for. The seller was responsive and answered my questions quickly. Overall, a smooth and satisfying experience—would definitely recommend.

I ordered the Musashi folded steel…

I ordered the Musashi folded steel katana, I had some questions regarding what steel the blade was and if I could customize it and I reached out to the support team, Dave from the support team answered almost immediately and I explained to me the customizations I could get and told me the blade steel, (for anyone else wandering its 1095 and spring steel), I thought on it a couple of days before making my order asking Dave multiple questions in which he answered very quickly, I made my order, and an excited to receive my katana, I was a little inpatient at 1st not thinking about the customization I had in my katana and reached out and Dave explained they were doing my customization on my katana. He has been so helpful and supportive of helping me make my purchase, customer service was great and I can’t wait to revive my sword

My order was lost with delivery from…

My order was lost with delivery from UPS and the owner of the company does not want to take any responsibility as she said she does not trust her customers but wants to build her business.

Please do not waste your money with this company.

According to UPS, the package was successfully delivered and placed beside your door, with a photo provided as proof of delivery.

David from our support team reached out to explain that, unfortunately, once a package is delivered and proof is provided, it is outside of our control. We understand you believe the package may have been mistaken for trash and picked up by a collector, and we are truly sorry that happened.

After consulting with others and taking time to reflect, I have come to understand that even in unclear situations like this, businesses are often expected to take greater responsibility. We acknowledge that we could have approached this more thoughtfully from the beginning. That is why I personally reached out, to better understand the situation and hopefully find a way forward.

You mentioned in your reply, “I don’t need anything from you or Swordis as there are plenty of options out there.” You also expressed doubt that David is a real person and questioned the quality of support provided. I want to be transparent. David is indeed part of our team, and he spent a considerable amount of time communicating with UPS and doing his best to help resolve the issue on your behalf. We are sorry if that did not come across clearly.

When we take time to assess cases like this, it is not because we do not trust our customers. Unfortunately, we have encountered situations where policies were misused, so we take care to evaluate each case thoroughly. Our intention is always to be fair and supportive, not dismissive.

In the past year and a half of doing business and serving our clients, we have only had two similar situations where we could not resolve things as everyone hoped. Throughout, we have always aimed to be fair and honest with our customers. This is also why you were recommended by a friend—because we genuinely care.

As a small and growing business, we are constantly learning. Your feedback helps us improve, even when it is difficult to hear.

The customer service is incredible... they spent over an hours helping me choose the perfect blade and answering all my questions. My international order was shipped within a week and arrived securely packaged.
