We have just returned from an amazing adventure of a lifetime in Transylvania, all thanks to the team at Tailor Made Rail.
George was amazing in helping us plan our trip , all the way from London to getting to Bran Castle he made sure every detail was included. Our full itinerary was sent out in plenty of time before we left .
The whole support team kept in touch all the way through our trip , making sure we met all the connections and helping us when any issues came up .
Tailor made rail hand picked authentic Romanian hotels and even arranged pick ups from the train station, above and beyond doesn't cover the experience we had !
Highly recommend Tailor Made Rail, we will be coming back to them for our next European train adventure!

Amazing trip, Matterhorn adventure

We went on our first train holiday with Tailor Made Travel. Their communication was brilliant. They made amendments when we asked. The itinerary was carefully laid out day by day and was easy to follow. Their choices for our hotels around Europe were really good as well.

Our trip was so well organised from start to finish. The itinerary was tailored to our wishes. The professionalism of everyone we dealt with at TMR was exceptional. The paperwork we were given was extensive, clear and easy to follow. We had no problems at all on our trip.
We will definitely be using TMR again and, based on our experience, would have no doubts about recommending them to others.

TMR have been efficient and responsive in organising our holiday. The hotels they use are excellent, good quality and perfectly located for rail travel and exploring cities. They managed to respond quickly and adapt our plans when an overnight sleeper service was unfortunately cancelled.

The TMR staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. The initial itinerary came very speedily and adjustments were easy to make. The resulting travel and hotel experiences were excellent overall.

Good hotels, trains generally on time, sleeper from Berlin to Brussels was an interesting experience!

After a long time of looking for rail holidays and not finding what I wanted, Tailor Made Rail came up with the itinerary that was exactly what I wanted.

Oh, and the choice of hotels was excellent.

We booked a holiday travelling by train from Whitby to Istanbul. This involved stopovers in 8 cities, booking of interconnecting rail journeys and flight back to the UK. Our trip was booked at very late notice (we contacted TMR approximately 9 days before our intended departure date) but Simon had a proposal for our holiday ready within 3 hours which we thought was outstanding service. Despite the last minute nature of the arrangements everything worked without a flaw and any questions we had were always attended to promptly. The train seat reservations, train timings and hotel bookings were all exactly as contained in our itinerary. We were looking for hotels that were in convenient locations and characterful 3-4 star standard - TMR delivered exactly that in each location. Overall we had a wonderful holiday which in other hands (e.g. our own) could have been extremely stressful - in fact it was very relaxing and we can thoroughly recommend TMR to anyone who wants to "let the train take the strain"

We sent tailor made travel a list of destinations, time we wanted to spend there and that we wanted to travel the Brenner pass and see some lovely scenery. That’s it. TMR sent us a list of hotels at our chosen destinations for us to look at and approve, or not.
We wanted to visit Milan but the Italian transport union called a strike. Paul from TMR promptly got in touch with us with an alternative to Locarno, bypassing Milan. It was a lovely detour by serene Lake Maggiore - just what we need actually. Thank you to Paul for all his help ( and patience!) in organising this tour. Highly recommend Tailor Made Rail.
