Making an appointment was very easy. Uploading docs was easy as well. Doctor was professional and understood my needs.

Do not trust Talkiatry with your care or your money. Their billing practices are predatory and their technical platform is utterly incompetent.

On August 11, August 25, and September 8, 2026, I scheduled appointments with a licensed therapist. When I logged in to retrieve the live session link, the appointments were completely absent from their system. I immediately sent a message via the portal and called them to report the catastrophic system failure.

After I called, the appointments magically appeared under my history as confirmed, but the session links they sent were already expired. It is clear that when the provider confirms the appointment at the start time, their broken system prematurely deactivates the patient link. Instead of taking accountability for their own technical failure, they falsely marked me as a no-show.

I have undeniable records of my phone calls and multiple portal messages proving I was present and actively trying to connect. I emailed them repeatedly after every single appointment to resolve this, yet they still penalized me with a $100 fee for each session. Charging patients $300 for the company's own platform glitches is exploitative, highly unethical, and demonstrates a blatant disregard for patient care.

She (my psychiatrist) really put forth effort and care in understanding why I made the decision to see a psychiatrist. There was warmth and care in the way she spoke to me which made me feel at ease.

Exceptional and Convenient Mental Health Care. I am incredibly pleased with the care I have received from Talkiatry. The entire process is exceptionally convenient, making it easy to integrate high-quality mental health support into a busy schedule. Every interaction I have had has been strictly professional, and my provider is genuinely caring and thoughtful. It is clear that they prioritize patient well-being, and I feel truly heard and supported during every session. I would highly recommend their services to anyone seeking accessible and compassionate psychiatric care.

My initial appointment was just the provider asking me questions for 40 minutes. didn't provide any feedback whatsoever. however, they charged me $650 half of this was for Psychotherapy services which I did not receive. I cancelled my follow up appointment because im afraid they will bill me hundreds of dollars to tell me something AI can tell me in 5 minutes.

The absolute worst experience imaginable. Run as far away as fast as possible.

I cant even comprehend how they are still in business. Terrible BBB ratings, terrible reviews, terrible employees, terrible practices.

Seriously, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY

When i was seeing them the care was decent, but now that I moved and trying to get my medical records they make it extremely difficult. The sent me a form, I filled it out the best I could with how they sent it. I've been calling to get it sent over for a week and the last time I call they tell me I have to send the form a different way instead of telling me that from the get go. If you plan on moving i DO NOT recommend you going through them. The communication amd service is ridiculous.

My insurance wouldnt cover it so I moved on to another company. It's signed me up for Psychiatry appointment which I have my own for 5 years & am not switching and now they're going to charge me $100 no show fee when I never went through anybody in their company. They are going off my assessment that you are made to do.

I felt respected and heard, with kindness and compassion. The knowledge of Dr S was impressive, and it was very comfortable talking with her for the intake.

My Psychiatrist is very easy to talk to and works with you to help solve your problem.

I just wish I could get an appointment sooner after my front one. Too long in between

And that was my biggest worry. Being able to read the bio of the providers before making an appointment was really helpful and I feel I made an excellent decision.

They were charging me without charging my insurance. They had a credit card on file and would randomly charge me hundreds of dollars! They refused to refund the money and remove the card, EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD NOT CHARGED MY INSURANCE! I eventually had the insurance people conference call them and rip them a new one. She got them to refund the money and take my card off of the account. Their customer service is awful! What a scam!

I NEVER made an appointment I simply clicked on a link in a social media ad and started doing an assessment but when it came time to enter my credit card I STOPPED. They continued to send me reminders that I had an appointment. I called and cancelled and they assured me there would be no cancellation charge. They keep sending texts and email reminders about my bill.  

This is supposed to be a medical related company and yet their AGGRESSIVE tactics should be looked into by some agency.

No matter how good the actual therapists and psychiatrists are, they frequently leave Talkiatry, the online teleplatform is really buggy and when it fails to work properly, the inept administration usually charges you for a missed appointment or a full appointment as if you actually had a session. There is no true "customer service". That department is outsourced to what must be an overseas contractor because when you can get through to a person, they have very thick accents, do not seem to understand the issues and promise to get back to you and never do so. But, mostly, you get a message telling you that the department is too backed up to take your call and it could be a lengthy time for them to get back to you. In the meantime, they continue to overbill you. If you actually get several sessions in a row without any technical glitches, you are lucky. They do not provide you with a regular bill and never send me anything to tell me that my two insurances were not adequate to cover my sessions. I canceled an appointment and received a bill for $200. Then the platform didn't work and I got another bill for $200. They overbill because you cannot reach customer service. When I finally canceled I send e-mail after e-mail to dispute my balance and kept getting responses that they were severely backed up and it would take time for them to get back to me. Never got a regular statement. NOT ONCE. After I finally canceled, I got a phone call from a collection agency stating I owed over $700, which I have refused to pay. If you didn't have anxiety prior to signing up for Talkiatry, you will after trying to deal with their faulty telehealth platform and horrible customer service. It really seems like they are using the platform as a money grab because I've never encountered a business that seems so unconcerned with how their administration treat their clients. I cannot recommend Talkiatry to anyone, sadly.

The only reason it’s not 0 starts is because it effectively connected me to a psychiatrist. The technology works exactly as advertised

The reason it’s 2 stars is because of the business model. They effectively charge you double (psychiatrist fee and talkiatry fee) without warning

My INTAKE (no therapy/diagnosis/prescribed solution or medicine) cost over $400, even with excellent insurance. When I asked about the charges I was unable to talk to a human. It was all unnamed emails that took 7+ days to reply. Then the psychiatrist left. So there’s no way to even ask the psychiatrist if the records are accurate.

The only reason I’m stopping fighting it is because they have outlasted me.

I love how quick I was able to see my doctor and get the help I needed.

This is a scam. They bill you for your initial consultation and then tell you that they're not able to help you on a telehealth platform and refer you to outpatient programs. All I wanted was an ADHD evaluation and she wouldn't even do that.

Liked my psych doc, but navigating portal via laptop/phone is impossible. Last 4-5 appts had to be canceled; could not get through. Healow app is far too difficult to navigate - too many hoops to jump through in online security. Getting impossible to use Healow; pt coordinator is not helpful either.

Deceptive billing and significant issues scheduling and keeping appointments on time. Provider rescheduling without notification, not helping to resolve my issues, the list could go on
