I’ve been trying to close my limited company since January, and despite repeated requests and follow-ups, it’s now November and nothing has been finalised. My accounts are still not submitted, meaning they are at risk of being filed late, which could lead to penalties — entirely due to the company’s delays and lack of communication.

My business has had no trading activity since December 2023 and has been operating at a loss, yet I was charged over £550 for accounts and closure. This is completely unreasonable for a small, loss-making business with minimal activity.

I’ve repeatedly explained my financial hardship and asked for a reduction or goodwill adjustment, but responses have been slow, inconsistent, and unhelpful. I’ve also had to chase several times just to get access to my accounts and a working payment link.

After years of loyalty and trusting their advice to keep my limited company open, I feel completely let down. There’s been no empathy, no urgency, and no accountability. I would strongly advise other small business owners and sole traders to look elsewhere for honest, supportive accountancy services.
