Even better if: Recruitment agencies had a more transparent conversation with candidates about the vacancies they would like to fill up, as this is what seems to happen. Despite candidates establishing their goals, they still have to fit in the criteria given by the agency, otherwise no other contact is made. So much bureaucracy without maintaining a positive relationship with a client (candidate).

DIRE ! I have worked for TeacherActive for 7 years. The same contract throughout, not a single day off sick. My team were disbanded in July 2023. I received no notification to that effect from TeacherActive, I was left in limbo. Thankfully I picked up the same position with the same authority on an 8-week Temp to Perm contract through another agency in early August, have TeacherActive returned the reference requested ? No. 3 days into my new post and my new agency are questioning why they've not had a reference covering my past 7 years back.... that's what TeacherActive thinks of its loyal workers !

I have worked for TeacherActive for the last academic year. Luke Beastall was my consultant. When I initially rang to register Luke listened to what I was looking for and found me a years placement near to my home and with hours that suited me and was I happy to do. I would definitely recommend TeacherActive to anyone looking for supply as they listen to you and do their best to find what you are looking for.

I worked for Teacher active for little under a year and honestly have the best things to say about the agency. Louis was always there for my quiestions. No matter how big, small, or silly, I felt they were. I really enjoyed my experience here and was never short of work. Louis and Oliver were amazing always finding me work and had work lined up if I needed it. I was always sent sceduals withing plenty of time and my availability was always stuck too by staff. I didn't have any problems with with teacher active, I highly recommend this agency to my friends and people I have worked with. Very professional and friendly agency

Loved my experience at Wizu workshop with Jodine Brittle! Jodine was my consultant and she made my dreams to come true. I would highly recommend her if you would like to start your career in teaching. Jodine was very friendly, helpful and professional. Also, she always make sure you have all the information required and regularly get in touch with you to see if everything is going alright! :)

I have been really impressed by the staff at Teacher Active. From the start Megan Jones has been a helpful consultant, always managing to find placements in excellent schools within Cardiff and dealing instantly with questions or concerns. For Teachers looking to get into the supply sector I would highly recommend Teacher Active. Signing up was really quick and I was offered work instantly. All the staff I have dealt with as well as Megan have been professional and courteous, yet still friendly and warm.

Working with Teacher Active Cardiff has been a fantastic experience which has had an awe-inspiring impact on the way I work in schools. They have been timely in the rendering of their calls whenever work is available. The availability update has been highly impressive to me. Melissa Riddle really made a great impact in my life by encouraging us to do more professional work in the schools where I am posted. She put in a lot of effort to track how I was doing on the assignment. It been really wonderful working with Teacher Active Cardiff.

I found all of the team members who I worked with at TeacherActive to be friendly and professional. I appreciated the personal touch of meeting in person during registration and found them responsive when I had questions.
The area that could be improved would be preparing teachers new to the world of supply, as there are some basic tips that I wish someone had told me before I got there, like always take a packed lunch, check where to park and have a few emergency supplies on hand (whiteboard marker, pens, pencils, paper). Knowing how the day is structured, length of classes and when break/ lunch are would also be good information to share.

Worked with TeacherActive on and off for a year and I have found them to be professional, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I have worked with Teacher Active for over 4 years, and can honestly say I have always been offered work. That the work is always at my discretion, and they have always tried to find a 'best fit' for me. They have encouraged and nurtured my own interests, and I now have a wealth of new experience, and confidence that I would not have achieved staying in full time teaching. I am grateful to the staff, especially Vic, at the Liverpool office, who has with humour; encouraged, supported and challenged me. The pay is competitive, and as I might have already mentioned, the experience I have gained working in different schools, with different students has definitely changed my perspective.
