Whilst you can’t put a price on peace of mind, budget was of course a factor. We wanted to get the absolute most out of the budget we had to play with and didn’t want to pay over the odds for something that we hopefully won’t ever need to claim on. If I fall critically ill, and/or if I die, my family will be mortgage free, the bills will be paid, and the children will be looked after. Ultimately that’s the goal isn’t it.
