Employees and contractors are leaving 5…
Employees and contractors are leaving 5 star reviews to intentionally push down an awful story of a woman who is living through financial hardship after taking Brooke Castillo’s advice. Be skeptical of five star reviews these are from contractors and people who financially benefit by staying close to LCS so they can siphon clients off into their businesses. Checkout Nicole Silverberg review to read the side of LCS they are so desperate to bury. The side that exaggerates earning claims, makes promises it never delivers on and then tells you it’s your fault for not believing hard enough. Look up Danielle Ryan’s YouTube and Life Coach Snark Reddit. There are many people who have been financially harmed by LCS and the “coaches” who make lots of money by being closely associated to them. I wish this info had been online before I paid her $23,000 for a very poorly executed coaching certification. Don’t make the same mistake I did and trust Brooke and any LCS coaches.
Employees are giving 5 star reviews
3 of the latest 5 star reviews dated today are from contract coaches/instructors at LCS. They are clearly on damage control. Trust Pilot would only let me flag one. BEWARE. Trust Pilot: they are clearly asking for reviews from employees/contractors. Please make it stop! It’s disingenuous best and scammy at worst.
Gratitude
There are few things that I have invested in in my lifetime that I can say, it was worth every penny. I can honestly make that statement about The Life Coach School. The instructors, the coaches, the content are all top notch. I am so glad Brooke is back with a huge presence and impact teaching and coaching. I had missed her. It took me a little while to get going as a coach upon graduation, but that is on me. I have now had a series of great years once I took responsibility for my own business and stepped into belief. There is nothing I would rather be contributing to the world and I am so grateful to the school for helping me find my why.
Life changing
The Life Coach School Get coached Programme, Brooke’s coaching Model and the coaching certification have transformed my life in so many ways. I feel much more self-confident and empowered, I have improved my relationship with myself and others, my relationship with my body and food, I make decisions more easily, manage my time efficiently and I have changed career to become an entrepreneur. I get coached weekly by Brooke and her team of amazing coaches!
An Absolute Game-Changer
As a proud member of The Life Coach School since March 2020, I can't express enough how transformative this experience has been for both my life and my business. The self coaching model is nothing short of brilliant, offering profound insights that have elevated every aspect of my personal and entrepreneurial journey. The coaches are incredibly supportive, and the wealth of resources provided are a massive over deliver. Grateful for the profound impact it continues to have on my growth and success. Highly recommend to anyone ready to level up in life and business!
I finally get what loving myself means...
I've been a part of LCS since 2019. I joined because I was struggling in my marriage and I thought something was wrong with me and when I heard Brooke's podcast I was intrigued by the way she offers thought work. I had never had a coach before or been coached before. It's 2024 now and I can honestly look back and say that being coached in LCS has changed my life. It's changed the way I think about myself which has changed everything. It's changed me and my relationships but it's because the program taught me how to look at my thinking and how to change it. It's the best investment in myself that I have ever made because my relationship with myself is now one of best friend, biggest supporter, biggest encourager, and most trusted person in my life. That relationship has trickled into everything else in my life in the most positive way and I will forever be grateful for it.
The Life Coach School Gave Me the Tools to Change My LIfe
I certified in the fall of 2016 while working in corporate. I stayed in my full-time job until I felt the calling to be a full-time coach. I had a small coaching practice on the side but nothing close to replacing my corporate salary. I took the leap and decided to go all in on coaching and left my job. I knew the whole time that I was starting a business and it would require me to invest my own savings to get going. I only reached 6-figures after three years. Becoming certified was not a guarantee that clients would flock to me. I had to get really uncomfortable and get my name out there and by asking people to work with me (and face the rejection that happened alot). I had to take another full-time job to make ends meet for my family but I kept going with my coaching. Building a business is hard but I couldn't think of anything I'd rather do, so I just kept trying things, working hard and staying after it. I never got my coaching salary at the same level as my corporate pay, but that's not anyone's fault. I decided to work as a contract coach with someone else because growing a business wasn't something I enjoyed.
The journey and what I learned and implemented all along the way changed my life. Building a coaching business was also the hardest thing I've done but it taught me so much.
Belief that created space for my own
I have a long history of coaching and leadership development, and pursued certification through LCS as an added tool in my tool belt when I decided to transition from coaching within other organizations/companies, to launching my own coaching practice as an entrepreneur. I am super grateful for the belief Brooke carries for all coaches, as it created space for my own belief in what was possible for me. My coaching practice has completely changed my family's financial future, and I am forever grateful!!
The Life Coach School took me to the next level
Being a part of TLCS Get Coached program allowed me to focus on the parts of my life that I wanted to improve. Every coach I got was amazing and gave me a unique perspective while allowing me to be the expert in my life. The program taught me how to do some of the work myself, so that I can work on my life even when I don't have a session.
I decided to become a certified coach, which was the best decision. As a trained physician, I was used to guiding people. Through certification, I learned the skills to help people in a new way. At the same time, those skills further improved my life and how I approached my relationships and goals.
I love what I have learned at TLCS, and I find myself calmer, more at peace, and more content with my life. At the same time, I am less afraid to choose what I want and keep setting goals. The programs have made my life better. I am so grateful.
Beware The Life Coach School
This is a review for the Coach Certification Program (CCP) not for Get Coached (formerly Self-Coaching Scholars.)
This program is not worth the exorbitant price tag: $21,000. Brooke Castillo refers to it as the "Harvard of Life Coaching" and someone needs to tell Harvard so they can make her stop. I assume Harvard has an application process. LCS just has a button on a website that says, "PAY NOW."
These were some of the particulars when I went through. It may have changed.
-6 months of instruction: 1-hour classes once a week over Zoom.
-We had to print out our curriculum and workbooks ourselves. This was HUNDREDS of pages.
-There were 9 of us in my class. We were instructed not to contact our teacher outside of the strict class time we had. Any questions were to be address in the class. There was never time for this. I don't blame my teacher for this, she was great, but clearly overworked.
-We had to turn in recorded Zoom coaching sessions with someone unaffiliated with the program. We were told that these sessions would not be watched. Okay?
-We were told we would have "lifetime access" to the materials, only to find out after finishing that much of the material was behind a paywall called Self-Coaching Scholars ($297/month.)
-At "graduation" there was a short zoom call with someone from the office and then links to more certification programs to take afterward. These other recommended coaches were part of the LCS umbrella.
I finished this program anxious, unprepared and sad. I wish I had thought to look for reviews prior to diving in.
Please think twice (or ten times, even) before you commit to Brooke Castillo and the Life Coach School.
NOT worth the price
The Life Coach School charged me $21,000 to become certified. The certification is absolutely NOT worth the price tag. I only wish I had seen reviews before I committed to this program. There are far better coach certifications out there for 1/4 of the price. Please do your research and find another school. In addition, the monthly Get Coached program is also extremely overpriced.
Best program ever
Really happy with the experience, changed my life. Thank you Brooke!
Disappointed with Company's Performance, But Proud of My Sister's Growth
I initially wrote a review praising this company for supposedly helping my sister and changing her life. However, I have since come to realize that my sister's transformation was more a result of her own determination and inner strength, rather than the company's assistance.
I am genuinely disappointed with the company's performance. They made promises they couldn't keep, and their support fell short of what was expected. It's disheartening to see an organization fail to deliver on its commitments.
On the positive side, this experience has highlighted my sister's incredible resilience and growth. She found her own power and courage, and that's truly remarkable. While the company didn't live up to our expectations, my sister's journey of self-discovery has been inspiring.
In summary, I can't recommend this company based on their performance, but I'm immensely proud of my sister for realizing her own potential during this course. Her strength and determination shine brighter than any company's promises.

I can’t say enough how much LCS has…
I can’t say enough how much LCS has impacted my life. All for the better, and long before I certified. The podcast was a source of wisdom and actionable advice that helped me to show up well at home, work and while working through a layoff. The tangible benefits I got from the free content informed my decision to get certified in 2020. The decision itself was transformative. It further cemented in reality the version of myself I was creating. Certification grew me greatly. It helped me shift from being someone who continuously sought external validation to someone that could find validation from within. It helped me shake off the shackles of imposter syndrome. The process built my belief in my ability to be a coach and create a business. I’m a better a leader, father, husband and coach. I now take 100% responsibility for my life and the outcomes I create.
You don’t get your money’s worth
While I learned a lot, I cannot in good conscience recommend this to others for the price they are charging. Castillo often talks about how her success is due to her “overdelivering”, however I believe the Life Coach School” coaching certifies a clear case of under delivering. My biggest complaint is that they basically talked up helping us to not only become a coach but to start our business as well. For the business part, they put us in online groups, gave us text that was vague, and told us to meet weekly without any sort of teacher or mentor. This was beyond disappointing to me. I emailed the school with feedback and received no response at all.
Think twice or thrice before spending your money here. The community of coaches is good, but I believe you can find that without needing to spend around $20K.
If something seems to good to be true
If something seems too good to be true, it's b/c it is. This LCS not only damaged my bank account, it damaged my mental health. Brooke and her "big name coaches" and their minions only care about one thing...convincing you that you cannot be successful without them and figuring out ways to keep taking your money. The trainings are basically watered down bro-marketing and CBT repackaged. There is zero support for new coaches and if you offer any sort of constructive criticism you will be gas or exiled. They do not provide truly trauma informed material and The Model is NOT a trauma informed tool. They are causing harm and charging students/coaches A LOT of money to learn how to do the same. Do NOT give this quasi cult pyramid scheme your money and don't believe the hype of all of these 5 star reviews.
A pyramid filled with people’s money, hopes and dreams
The Life Coach School is based on a few good ideas but supported by a pyramid filled with peoples money, hopes, and dreams. You do not get nearly enough to be a competent life coach especially for the astronomical cost that is all part of the owner’s grift. Find a place that is ICF certified and has reviews.
Best investment I've ever made by FAR
Best investment I've ever made by FAR
The thing that really stands out for the Life Coach School for me is that it emphasizes applying the tools and skills you learn in the Coach Certification Program on yourself. I know this is why I saw leaps and bounds in the progress in my own life. My relationships are so much better, I'm far less emotionally reactive in my day to day life, and I just have this ability to always find my way back to equanimity when things feel turbulent. The Life Coach School has given me a career, and much more full life. Forever grateful.
An Absolute Grift - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I wasted $22K+ on the useless certification and horrible membership. If you want to spend your money on a sloppy, worthless program where you don't get any feedback or community, then by all means, sign up. Just be aware that the promises that are made to you are lies. You will not make money as a life coach. You will not become a great life coach. You will end up needing to learn how to forgive yourself for blowing your hard-earned money on an utter grift. You will not feel elevated as a coach or as a person as the advertising promises. The programs are outdated and shoddily put together. I wish I had trust pilot reviews when I signed up.
Choosing to Elevate My Coaching Skills as a Business Coach
Having gone through CCP (the Coach Certification Program) and MCT (Master Coach Program) at The Life Coach School, I can say that both programs have had a profound impact on both my personal and professional journeys.
As someone who had already spent 14 years as an entrepreneur in the business coaching/consulting space, adding a "life coach" certification wasn't on the top of my list. What was? I knew that I was looking to learn additional skills to better help my clients when they hit mental blocks. While there was a level of "mindset" coaching that I was utilizing, I wanted more tools and resources to better assist my clients and to elevate my existing coaching practice. That's where life coaching, specifically the certification at The Life Coach School found me.
While in Master Coach Training, one of the things that really stood out to me was the engagement and personalized feedback from the instructors. While I personally didn't like some of the feedback (I mean, who agrees with all of the feedback instructors give 100% of the time?), I took it as an opportunity to learn and push myself even more. While growth can be uncomfortable, and it was, I am grateful that I stayed committed to the process of learning and growth.
One thing was clear with these instructors, their commitment to helping me and others in our group get across the "finish line" of certification. The invaluable feedback I received allowed me to only fine-tune my own unique coaching style/techniques, but become a more effective and empathetic coach.
As much as my business has benefited from these additional skills and resources, my personal life has too.
To this day, I still keep in contact with others who were with my CCP and MCT small groups. Some of them have become friends, others have become clients. I continue to use the skills and tools I learned through CCP and MCT in my multi-six-figure coaching and training company.
