Excellent bed quality, clear assembly instructions, but very poor delivery arrangement
I purchased the Wilmore Solid Natural Oak Ottoman Storage Bed Frame from Oak Bed Store, and the product itself is outstanding. The quality is excellent — the wood feels premium, the structure is solid, and after using it for about two months, it remains very sturdy with no creaking, shifting parts, or instability. The ottoman storage space is extremely spacious and practical.
The assembly instructions were very clear, and the bed was easy to install by myself, which made the whole setup process smooth and stress‑free. Overall, I’m genuinely very satisfied with the bed frame.
However, the delivery arrangement was extremely disappointing, mainly due to the outsourced delivery company.
During the first delivery attempt, the driver did not call 30 minutes beforehand as instructed. The delivery arrived suddenly, causing me to miss the drop-off and forcing me to reschedule.
For the second attempt, I specifically requested an afternoon delivery slot, yet they still arranged it for the morning, completely ignoring my availability.
The product deserves five stars, but the delivery service only deserves one, so I’m giving an overall rating of four stars. I hope Oak Bed Store improves the management of their outsourced delivery partners so that their excellent products come with equally reliable service.

Exceptional
We have now purchased two beds over the past few years from the oak bed store! We dealt with Nina and Georgie in their customer service team who have been exceptional!! Telephone manner, knowledge of their product and their advice and support in making these purchases has been superb! The beds themselves are made of excellent quality (Lyon and Chester beds), easy to assemble instructions and their mattresses are incredibly comfortable (Edwin and Taylor if you want a soft mattress and The flow serene cloud for a slightly firmer one). I wouldn’t shop anywhere else!!

Fabulous company and fabulous product
I am so impressed with this company - not heard of them before …. But the product ( bed and bedside tables ) is fabulous - looks amazing and is SOLID which is great . A member of staff picked up that id ordered the wrong colour tables to go with the bed and so queried it thankfully!
The delivery service was great , punctual and extremely helpful .

We're very sorry to hear that your sample didn't arrive, and thank you for making us aware.
As soon as we became aware of the issue, we looked into the tracking and found that, although your sample was dispatched promptly, it unfortunately appears to have been lost within Royal Mail's network before it could be scanned.
I've since contacted you directly to explain what happened and to apologise. I'm pleased to confirm that a replacement sample has now been issued, and I can see that it has been successfully delivered.

10/10 faultless company
I ordered a bed on the Friday night (they are closed over the weekend) and I messaged customer services asking if it could be dispatched quickly as I was without a bed and i recieved a prompt response from Georgie - a week later the bed was in my living room! Unfortunately the fittings and middle legs were missing (I purchased fitting from Amazon) and informed Georgie of this and the response was outstanding. If you deal with Georgie youll be blown away by the professional, caring and understanding attitude she has!
The bed is amazing quality and well worth the price, the customer service is a 10/10 and the prices are great. You will not be disappointed

I ordered a white wooden ottoman bed…
I ordered a white wooden ottoman bed thinking I would get quality.
I could not believe the state of the bed on delivery! 1 box was all dented and ripped. The bed had paintwork not finished. Scratches and dints on the headboard piece and the bottom of the feet were mouldy!
Customer service were great and I was refunded but completely put me off buying from here again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review.
After reviewing the photographs you provided, and again once the bed had been returned to our warehouse, we can completely understand why you chose to return the product.
We could see that one of the boxes was in very poor condition. Please be assured that it did not leave our warehouse in that state, and unfortunately this appears to have been caused during transit. We will be raising this with our courier, as the condition of the packaging was simply not acceptable.
We also reviewed the imperfections you highlighted on the bed itself. We identified a number of paintwork issues, predominantly on the internal sections of the bed, including the inside of the headboard and the underside of the headboard frame, along with the other cosmetic imperfections you pointed out. We have forwarded all of this feedback, together with the photographs, to our factory so they can investigate and improve their quality control.
With regard to the marks on the bottom of the headboard legs, which you believed to be mould, after inspecting the returned bed we can confirm that this was not mould. The marks were caused during the manufacturing process where the timber had been cut, exposing the natural grain of the wood. However, we completely understand why this caused concern, and appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
Finally, thank you very much for your kind words about our customer service. I'm really pleased that my colleague Georgie was able to resolve the matter swiftly and professionally, and I'll be sure to pass your comments on to her.
Whilst we're sorry this experience has put you off purchasing from us again, we do genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve both our products and our service.
