I’ve been getting a lot of targeted ads for this online and recently finished my bb cream so thought I would give it a try.

I have very pale skin on the oily side with large pores and a bit of rosacea. I hate the caked-on foundation look so usually opt for bb creams or mix a bit of foundation with moisturiser. I don’t mind subtle imperfections showing through, and just try to unify my skin tone somewhat.

I really wanted to love this company and its product; I think the branding and packaging design is beautiful, I love the unisex element and the fact that the tube is completely recyclable. It also arrived quickly and the shade matches my skin tone. I like the concept of what they’re trying to do, but sadly it doesn’t work in practice for me at all.

I just cannot get this product to look good on my face. I’ve tried everything - all my usual tricks, and then consulted some of the replies to these reviews, making sure my face was completely dry, letting moisturiser sink in beforehand, etc. I’ve tried it with and without moisturiser, applied with my hands and a sponge; I’ve tried patting and sweeping motions, and building in tiny amounts. No matter what I do, this substance clings to dry patches I didn’t even know I had, whilst simultaneously providing no coverage whatsoever. I have to touch and rub my face so much to get it to “blend” that it leaves the skin looking redder than before application, and it also piles on-top of moisturiser and makes application over spf difficult. It somehow makes me look older than I am, and also leaves my skin feeling quite dry, which is a disappointment.

I’m aware that it works brilliantly for most people on here and that it is probably just my skin, but thought I would mention this in case anyone with skin similar to me finds it helpful.

First of all, the brand, its ethics and what it stands for is amazing.
I absolutely love everything about it, not only its values and approach to sustainability, but also the general aesthetic. Also, I am always looking to support UK businesses. Naturally I was very excited, with hopes of ditching my other skin tints (after using them up of course) and only buying from this brand from now on.

However, after trying the product (the water tint), I ended up with very mixed feelings.

An overall critique - the fragrance is very strong. So strong you can smell it after blending it on your face. It confuses me as it is marketed as a marriage of makeup and skincare, but there is so much research of how bad fragrance is for the skin, especially more sensitive types. I would say with any face products - fragrance free is the way to go, especially because most people now either don't care about fragrance, or downright hate it, so removing it is definitely a win.

Now to my personal experience.

I only wear tinted moisturizers, never foundations, so naturally I really wanted to love it, but it just did not work for my skin.
I tried all kinds of application methods - fingers, sponge, brushes, but it always ends up being patchy and uneven. I have very, very oily skin all over, with no dry patches, but somehow the tint is just bunching up in random places, and around my hairline it just looks straight up orange. I tried it on its own, with different primers and moisturisers underneath, but unfortunately not once did it look good. The shade (light medium) however matched me well (in places where it lied even), it has quite a neutral undertone.

So that was my experience, and if it was just me I'd probably leave 2 or 3 stars, but...

I got another bottle for my friend, and for him it works great, he loves it! It noticeably evens out his skintone and covers up any blemishes there might be, while still looking 100% like skin, you wouldn't be able to tell he's even wearing anything which he likes. He has moderately dry skin, and for him the application is very smooth, he just blends it in with his fingers and it looks great. He has a very deep skin tone, so I got the deepest shade for him, and at first it looked a bit too warm and too light, but it blends in very seamlessly.

So there it is, two very different experiences!
Unfortunately, I will not be repurchasing it for myself, but my friend definitely will!
However, I will be watching out for this brand and what they do next, hopefully they will be more mindful about fragrance content though.

I'm leaving 4 stars because I sincerely wish all the best for this brand, and I have evidence that the product will definitely work for some people!

Fabulous service, very quick delover but the product itself was awful. I knew that a skin tint was not going to cover much and I didn't want it to but I may as well have put another layer of moisturiser on. It did absolutely nothing for me even after reading all of the tips and tricks on how to 'build up' the coverage. Sorely disappointed as I had such high hopes for this product

I really like it but I find it's a little bit streaky when I apply it with my fingers. Not a huge problem but I like the fastest morning routine possible so just want something that I could smear on my face without having to really look at what I'm doing (I can do this with glossier face tint). A brush or a sponge do the job though.

Lovely packaging and arrived quickly! Shade is perfect for my skin so really pleased. Smells good and feels light. Have to rub in quite quick to blend it well, but I love how matte it dries and how it feels like wearing nothing!

Bought this product a couple weeks ago. Although I've not been wearing too much makeup recently, because like most women can probably relate - this winter weather is NOT doing wonders for my skin! so it's all about moisturise moisturise moisturise! Which is where this product comes into it's own.
With it's light coverage you don't feel like you're caked in foundation and with the likes of hyaluronic acid and glycerin ingredients, your skin just locks in moisture and feels super hydrated all day. What more could you ask for? What I also love is that you can build up the coverage with more applications, should you want a more 'full faced' look.
I used the shade finder quiz to find my match - a simple quiz that really was spot on. With 6 shades, no.1 being the darkest and no.6 being the lightest (which makes for a nice change) it was really helpful.

This will definitely be my summer staple. Well done Romi and team! You've created a great product! xx

Perfect! This looks natural and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything. I'm also really pleased with the eco-friendly packaging.

Beautifully smelling product in gorgeous packaging. It is moisturising and like a serum. However, it does not offer minimal foundation coverage. It is tinted but the pigment does not impact the skin how I would have liked.

I was super excited to try the UN_DID and it DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT. Super light and moisturising and it has given me a perfect glow. All the benefits of moisturiser and foundation but in about 30 seconds. I am looking FLAW-LESS on Zoom now and living for it. Will definitely be buying again and can't believe how good value for money it is.

Also the packaging is incredible - I have no idea how they have made it feel so great when it's 100% recycled.

Oh and another thing it SMELLS AMAZING.

I like the final finish of the product but I find it very difficult to work with. It doesn’t blend in with my skincare and I find it bunches up and and pills on my skin which is really annoying.

I first discovered this brand via some ads on Instagram, and normally I ignore these, but I was intrigued by the concept of a water tint. I'm more of a skincare girl rather than make-up – I hate wearing foundation – but this product by UN_DID is perfect. It goes on like a serum but has a blurring effect also. It feels lovely and although there is a little bit of a learning curve to getting it to apply how you want – if you want the second layer, you really do have to wait for it to dry – but I love it and wouldn't be without it. It makes my skin look put-together, but not done-up – perfect for the no-make-up look – but it's also made my skin feel great. I've noticed that my skin feels more hydrated and softer as well!

I spoke to Romi extensively about the product to ensure it was the right thing that I was looking for, and they were a godsend, helping me with choosing the right shade, and troubleshooting application.

My personal piece of advice is to make sure your moisturiser and SPF have settled into your skin before you apply, so for example, apply your moisturiser and SPF, then go brush your teeth, and then come back – you'll thank me for it! (Also, although the tint is water-based, I've tried both oil-free and SPFs with a bit of oil in (La Roche Posay Anthielios) and they have both worked.

First thing I want to say is UN_DID customer service has been MORE THAN AMAZING, truly!
I contacted them on Instagram because I wasn't sure about my shade and they reply within 2 minutes, not even my mum reply me that quick!
They have been super nice and they helped me to choose a shade and they assured me that if the shade was wrong, they would change it for me. Who ever propose you that??? No one!
I received my parcel super quickly, but, I'm not a make-up expert and the first time I tried to put it on, it was a disaster and I was about to cry.
I contacted them again on Instagram, and again they have been amazing. Super quick in replying and so helpful!! I understood what I was doing wrong. I usually put some facial oil at my last step before the foundation...and water and oil separate...I know, I've been the most dumb on earth and I didn't thought about it at all. Thanks God UN_DID helped me!
This is my technique now: I use just a normal face cream, and I put a little pea amount directly on my face and I spread it with wet sponge. At the beginning it seems that it doesn't cover and you need another layer, but the secret is waiting. Leave it without touching for few seconds while it dries AND THE MAGIC HAPPENS! Good coverage, blur, nicely matt, natural.
When you touch your face you don't have the creamy/greasy feeling of any foundation, you just feel nothing and nothing rest on your mask too! And it really last the all day!
(BTW, I have sensitive acne-prone skin, and this doesn't break me out)

This makeup goes on silky smooth but dries to a soft matt finish. It covers up and stays on my t-zone perfectly.

I am very happy with this product! I have been looking for a product that gives light and subtle cover for my skin and as it is all sustainable it makes it even better. The website made it really easy to make sure I was choosing the right product for my skin and I love the inclusive message it promotes. Quick delivery and nice packaging made it a great experience from start to finish and I will definitely order again!

An amazing product with great service! I’m 10 days post-partum. It is the only thing making me feel more normal! Just the right of amount of scent without being overpowering. It’s now part of my daily routine.
