TMS Volvo prep and after sales

Bought a Volvo from tms Volvo , having nothing but issues , warranty claims ok … But one ongoing issue the company seem to be fobbing me off , wipe clean and monitor
Rather than replace items
Be aware they do not fully prep used vehicles
( had to change one tyre my self and rear brakes as car was wobbling on braking
At point of sale I wasn’t even told the car had no main dealer service or book

UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE

At the initial appointment, I feel being supported and informed for the things that I have asked, while I have not yet made a decision initially. Afterwards, my wife made a deposit after having a look at your website for a XC40 and Mark is happy to help until that stage.
I had the second appointment with Mark for deciding the order. This time Mark has not mentioned too much about this particular car and I would not say that he is cheating me in this sense. But to be honest, I have been treated unprofessionally as there were some options that are not included and he has not mentioned to me - the most important one is the rear camera. I understand that some options are really optional (e.g. heated seats, automatic rear door, etc.), but I don't think the rear camera are rarely obtained in most of the cars nowadays. When I received my car, I was absolutely shocked and worried for not having a rear camera especially when needing to backing my car everytime and this affects my impression towards the handling and professionalism towards your salesperson and your company as well (EVERYDAY and EVERYTIME when I use the car).
After checking the car, I can confirm that the service provided is absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL - there are altogether two keyless devices (but one device without the real key inside) and I have not been informed (cheating??) ; also, many parts of the car have not been cleaned thoroughly (including the air outlet).
Mark has no reply or response for these since the car being sent to me - what a "real" and unprofessional customer service it is!!

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been left feeling disappointed following your experience with us, particularly around the specification of the vehicle and the handover.

I understand that Jack Gough has been in direct contact with you over the past couple of weeks to discuss this in more detail, and I hope this has helped provide some clarity. To reiterate, the vehicle was supplied in line with the advertised specification and order that was agreed at the point of purchase. Features such as a rear camera are model and specification dependent, and would only be included where selected or specified.

That said, it’s clear from your comments that we could have done a better job in ensuring everything was fully explained and understood during the process, particularly when it came to optional features and the overall handover experience. The points you’ve raised around presentation and communication have been fed back internally, as this is not the standard we aim to deliver.

We do appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and if there is anything further you would like to discuss, please feel free to reach out.

TMS Volvo Coventry

I had my car serviced and MOT done yesterday and I wish I could give 5 stars. Everything was perfect until I got the keys back in the afternoon. Sharon was a delight to deal with from the beginning.
However, the cleaning and washing service has been appalling. It was just given a quick wash from outside. Inside was not even hoovered properly and there was dust and marks all over the car. The worst washing I have ever had from any Volvo dealer in my entire time of owning a Volvo. I expected to step into a clean fresh car after service but unfortunately that was not the case with me. The washing department definitely let the entire experience a let down.
I had opted for enhanced washing service at the time of booking and was ready to pay the extra quid but I was told that the enhanced washing is not being carried out at the moment, blaming it on the weather.
Now I will have to go to my local handwash to get it fully cleaned and valeted.

Too late for customer service and mot

Had a call to book first mot and service, and offered 11 days after mot was required. Dealer aware of mot deadline. If the dealer want the business may I respectfully suggest getting better organised.
Not what I expect from a business.

Stone walling at Leicester Volvo

TMS Volvo Leicester, and the subsequent series of failures relating to professional conduct, safety communication, and after-sales care.

This complaint concerns mis-selling, misinformation relating to vehicle safety, and a serious lack of customer support following purchase. These issues have resulted in a complete breakdown of trust in both the dealership and its service department.

1. Mis-selling and Non-Disclosure of Vehicle Features

Digital Key and OS Compatibility At the point of sale, I was explicitly informed and assured that the Digital Key functionality was compatible with Android devices. This feature was a primary requirement in my decision to purchase the vehicle. Despite repeated attempts by Andy Green to set this up—both on the day of purchase and again on 14 January—it has never functioned correctly.

Additionally, the key fob operates intermittently: the vehicle frequently fails to unlock, and the walk-away locking function is unreliable. We are often left standing by the car unable to access it, or are required to return to the vehicle to lock it using the key card or, if within range, via the phone app.

When my husband raised these issues during the 14 January service appointment, Andy Green dismissed the problem and advised him to “accept the Android digital key issue as a first world problem.” His manager, Jack Gough, reiterated this stance and further stated that even he was unaware that Android Digital Key functionality is not available with Volvo vehicles. This directly contradicts the assurances provided at the time of sale.

Software Instability and Safety Concerns The Android Auto system frequently disconnects mid-drive, resulting in the sudden loss of navigation and hands-free communication while the vehicle is in motion. This constitutes a significant safety risk.

Remote Seat Heating The Volvo app includes a function to remotely heat the vehicle’s seats. While the app confirms that the seats are being heated, this function does not work in practice. Once again, my husband was advised to simply “accept this as a flaw with Volvo,” which is an unacceptable response to a feature that was advertised and paid for.

2. Safety Misinformation Regarding Battery Recall

Following receipt of an official battery recall notice issued by Volvo, I contacted TMS Volvo Leicester for clarification. Despite me holding the official written notification confirming my vehicle was affected, I was explicitly told by Elliot that my car was not subject to the recall.

Providing incorrect information regarding a safety-critical recall represents a serious failure in duty of care and has fundamentally undermined my confidence in the competence of your service department.

3. Breach of Agreement and Unprofessional Conduct

Unacceptable Service Experience (14 January Appointment) On 14 January, my husband travelled over an hour and a half to attend a pre-booked 9:30 a.m. service appointment. Despite this, he was kept waiting for approximately 5.5 hours before the vehicle was even assessed. This only occurred after he repeatedly raised concerns with multiple members of staff regarding the delay and lack of communication.

Throughout the visit, no one took responsibility for the issues raised. Instead of investigating possible solutions, staff denied that any incorrect information had ever been provided to us. Eventually, my husband was advised that the vehicle would be collected for further repairs and that a courtesy car would be provided. He was informed that we would be contacted the following day to confirm arrangements. To date, no such contact has been made.

Dismissive After-Sales Care When I followed up via an official after-sales email address, I was informed by your staff that “TMS Volvo does not provide an after-sales care department” and that the email had been sent in error. It is entirely unacceptable to solicit customer feedback and then deny the existence of any support when a customer attempts to raise legitimate concerns.

Positive experience at TMS Geely Leicester

I recently bought a car from this company and was very pleased with the customer service. After being quite anxious, I was put at ease by Mitchell as he was not the pushy sales person that I was anticipating and he made the whole process a positive experience, along with Lee another friendly member of staff. Only had the car a few weeks but,so far, am very happy with purchase and would recommend the company to anyone looking to buy a new (to me) car

Stay well clear from this garage

Stay well clear from TMS Leicester, we brought a car from this garage in June which required its first mot and a service in November, we decided to use a Volvo garage near us for the first mot and service, we expected that there would be a cost for 3 years wear and tear, what we weren't prepared for was the list of the advisories that needed doing, what's disappointing is the garage we took the car to, in their experienced opinion, these issues have not happened since we brought the car and this must have shown up if the car was checked before we brought it (your guess is as good as mine). Since I found out I have rung the garage for three days in a row to talk to someone about this situation and no one has the common courtesy to ring me back. They might make you a coffee and give your wife a bunch of flowers and bombard you with calls to buy the car, but once you pay them your money you are a distant memory. After sales is appalling.

Amazing after sales service

We have a Kia soul that regularly gets serviced at Kia, Leicester. We recently had an issue with charging and we took it to Kia service center. Normally with all dealership there is a huge wait for booking in the car and diagnostics but Ellis who works with the service department understood the urgency. He looked at if there were any software updates and then took the car in for quick check. He eventually found a setting in the car which needed correction and within minutes got it rectified for us. It was such a huge relief as after sales service is the most important thing for the customer. We would definitly buy our next upgrade from Kia Leicester.

Purchase of New Kia Niro…

I have just purchased a new Kia Niro car with Tom, having explained to him my requirements. It was a brilliant experience and everything went really smoothly. Tom is an extremely pleasant young man who is very knowledgeable about the brand. He certainly was not 'pushy' at all and I appreciated the trouble he went to. TMS Kia leicester....disappointed

I am really disappointed with the level of service I have experienced at TMS Kia Leicester, unfortunately for the second time.

Both visits were handled by the same service representative, Curtis, and on each occasion there has been a lack of attention to detail. The first time, my car was not properly checked before being handed back to me. This time, despite requesting the earliest possible service slot, the process has again been frustrating and far from smooth.

Trying to get through to the service team via the call centre is equally disheartening the attitude and lack of care really do not reflect the level of service you would expect from a brand like Kia.

After two disappointing experiences, I am genuinely put off continuing with Kia in the future. I had expected better customer care and attention to detail.

Truly excellent service

Truly excellent service

From walking into the showroom to driving away with my new car in just a few days, the service was fabulous. All of the staff were lovely but Waqar Hussain was amazing; chatty and friendly and made the process feel smooth from the start. He was attentive, considered all of my preferences and provided me with a car that suited my needs to the T. TMS Kia took care of my old PCP and the whole process was seamless.
