The high level of availability and smooth communication—from payment to coordinating with the guides—made everything easy and stress-free. On top of that, there was always an extra tip or local insight that helped me feel almost like a local on my first visit to Milan.

Together, all these elements turned my trip into an unforgettable experience.

Cortona was revealed to us through our informative, very knowledgeable and interesting guide, Laura! We could have toured Cortona all day with her! In addition, she personally knows the town and it's people so gave us unique opportunities of meeting some and daily life there and tips for us to enjoy further while there. We absolutely can't say enough about how fantastic she is as a guide and our tour there!

I just returned yesterday from an amazing 13-day Italy-Switzerland vacation organized by Tourist Italy. Although it wasn’t my first choice (due to flight cancellations and last-minute changes), I rebooked through one of Tourist Italy’s partner organizations to make the most of the trip. I booked only a month in advance, but it turned out to be a fantastic experience! While I had already visited some of the typical tourist spots before, my partner hadn’t, so it was still a lot of fun revisiting them together.

The airport transfer to the hotel went smoothly. However, we had a last-minute itinerary change, and a mix-up in communication caused us to miss the scheduled time for the Vatican tour. After a frantic Uber ride (which broke down halfway!), we thought we had missed out. But this is where the customer service truly shined. They quickly rearranged everything and managed to book us on the next available tour, so we didn’t miss a thing.

Travel Tips:
Make sure you have a good phone with plenty of mobile data (I used Maya.net) and bring a high-capacity charger with a sturdy cable. It’s also a good idea to have international roaming activated for your number, as you’ll be in frequent contact with Tourist Italy throughout your trip for updates and reminders. A body pouch for passports and wallet, plus a smartwatch (like an Apple Watch), can help keep your valuables safe from pickpockets. Don’t overdress, as it might attract unwanted attention. Also, bring a European adapter for Italy, a Swiss adapter for Switzerland, and an English adapter if you’re transiting through Dubai.

In my rush, I chose the default hotel options, but they all turned out to be satisfactory to excellent. Make sure to read the instructions and email the hotels in advance for entry codes to avoid any issues. The highlight was the Park Hotel Principe in Luzern, which was stunning, modeled after a Roman villa, and offered an incredible breakfast.

Most of the hotels were conveniently located near train stations, so we didn’t need to use Uber for luggage except in Zurich. If we had used backpacks, even that wouldn’t have been necessary. We rarely needed public transport as everything was within a short to medium walking distance. The night foodie tours were great, especially with a larger group. The skip-the-line tours for the Vatican and Colosseum were must-dos, and the bus tours in Tuscany were excellent.

Some of the tours in Switzerland felt a bit redundant, mainly consisting of travel to a destination and then free time for 4-5 hours, which was fine since most Swiss cities don’t require more time. The commentary during the journeys was interesting. The tours of the Rhine Falls, Swiss chocolate factory, and cheese factory were delightful. The city tour of Zurich was also very well-led and enjoyable.

We were fortunate with the weather, which was unusually good for November (perhaps due to climate change). The staff at Tourist Italy were outstanding—always responsive on WhatsApp, day or night. I even received a few upgrades on tours, hotels, and travel arrangements without having to ask.

In summary, this trip was exceptional value for a two-week European holiday, and I highly recommend Tourist Italy for their exemplary service and attention to detail.

The tour was incredible and the guide Alessandro outstanding. He took us for food tasting , Génova history and he was very pleasant. He took us to eat focaccia, wine, main course and dessert to a different places in the old Génova. I am very pleased with the hotels and the tours.

I took the Tuscan tour with DELICIOUS wine tastings and trips to nearby towns (Siena, San Gimignano & Pisa). The company and local guides were efficient, experienced, and so helpful. Highly recommend!

Our guide was so informative and knew a lot about the history of the Vatican and its museums. She also directed us to less known displays in the museums, which a lot of other guides skipped out on.

Justine was a great guide - she was vibrant, energetic and knowledgeable. She was also very flexible with the tour and adapted to our needs on the fly, as it was 38 degrees and we were all quite tired by the end of the day.

We didn't realize it was two tours that were scheduled by a third party, but both tour guides were amazing!

Florence italy is a dump. Touristy garbage everywhere. Italians are slow, rude, and don’t give a damn about visitors especially Americans that fully support their third world economy. Go somewhere else unless you enjoy being treated like trash. Tuscany was beautiful but all the rest of it sucked. Also, train stations are living hell.

We had a private tour to see the Rome's historic cultural and culinary sights. The overall tour was very good. We'd like to point out the part guided by Guy. He's a great guide with decent knowledge and positive attitude!

Every thing was amazing! The breakfast was AMAZING! The room was great and the gardens were lovely to sit and relax and read a book in.

My husband and I loved this tour. While the two locations were a different experience, both had incredibly knowledgeable people. We learned a lot about the history of coffee, the La Marzocco machines, and the importance of bean selection and roasting to make the best cup of coffee. If you love coffee, my husband and I both recommend the tour!
