Christmas ruined, my wife applied for a visa and it is now two weeks over due date,we have been looking forward to seeing or daughter, son in law and our two lovely grandson's. Ment to fly out on Sunday and I have phoned Australia visa department who basically told me there is nothing they can do to try help me ...Poor show,really expected a little more customer service. If anyone can give any advice, I would really appreciate it.

Experience of obtaining visa was…
Experience of obtaining visa was excellent however I am going around in circles regarding a refund. Due to an error on my part I applied for a visa that I could have got free as I am only visiting for 7 days. I have these visa so do not require the ones issued for 12 months. I am going around a loop of being told to fill in the contact us form as I have already done that.
I was advised I was going to be given an update after 72 hours that was on the 31st July. Help !!!!!!!!!!

I didn't realise all the information that's was needed to to apply for a 12month visa to visit Australia.
I had booked my tickets before applying for visa,
Not the best thing do.
I spoke the to Ben at Visas for Australia, explaining that I needed my ASAP because I had booked my tickets before applying, he said he would do his best get my visa, and he did a couple of hours later day, he emailed me my visa. Absolutely brilliant Service. Thank you.
