Bij Toys R us in Deventer op Black…

Bij Toys R us in Deventer op Black Friday langs geweest. Op deze dag een grote korting op de LEGO Marvel tower. Helaas al uitverkocht, maar er is mij toegezegd dat ze deze zouden bestellen en mij zouden informeren zodra die binnen zou zijn. Tevens zou ik m alsnog met de korting krijgen. Op 21 december maar even langs gelopen omdat ik nog altijd niets had vernomen. Mijn briefje met mijn telefoonnummer ging nog altijd bij de kassa, maar volgens de twee dames achter de kassa zou deze LEGO toren nooit meer binnen komen en al helemaal niet conform de prijs van Black Friday. Ik werd publiekelijk door de beide medewerkers voor leugenaar uitgemaakt. Heel onvriendelijk en op mijn vraag waarom mijn briefje met gegegevens er nog hing zei men dat dit een fout was. Ik moest niet verder zeuren, ook niet na mijn vraag hoe dit opgelost zou worden. Echt heel klantonvriendelijk en telkens wanneer ik iets wilde vragen werd ik brutaal onderbroken. Ik ga hier nooit meer naar toe.

Horrific customer service. Shop elsewhere for better prices and customer service experience!!!

I'd really like to give a 0 for customer.
Reasons:
1) Their price matching is awful - they only do it once you have received the product - at which point, the sale price may not longer be available at the competition.

2) Chat line for customer service can take an hour or longer to get through - and even then, the individual has to escalate the case to the manager for price match, which in my experience gets declined anyway.

3) Tax holiday 2024 toys - I got a Leapfrog ice cream maker which SHOULD qualify for the tax exemption as it is an "imitation" toy that imitates a real life item. They declined it after multiple back-and-forth messages "As a business, we received the requirements to follow for the tax exemption and based on our interpretation, this item does not qualify. No credit will be issued for the tax on the item unfortunately. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I personally will no longer buy another thing from your business. I used to spend a lot of money at your store and will no longer support a business that treats good people so badly. Bad bad business. Shame on you!

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. They cancelled an item I ordered for pick up, saying they 'must have misplaced' it in the store, and now I don't have a way get a refund. NO phone number to call head office/accounts payable etc. Store can't help. No way to contact. Also had misinformed customer service at the Kitchener store.

Rude cashier

Sale items not coming up when scanned and cashier arguing about prices. Not all items scan sale prices. Product prices not clearly marked. Cashier was rude even though products were actually on sale and it was a mistake on store’s end. Store looks run down and unorganized. Disappointing experience.

Funko pop in a bag

These jerks are amateurs. They send me funko pop on a paper bag so I receive my funko totally destroyed and they want go pay to send it back for replace or refund

Superior Customer Service

I arrived at the Newmarket Upper Canada Mall ToysRus and was looking for a specific Toy. It was currently out of stock. The two young men at the Customer Service desk “Andrew” and “Juliano” went above and beyond in an attempt to assist me in sourcing this particular toy. I am very appreciative and thankful for their help. They are truly an asset to the ToysRus Newmarket sales team!

Delivery Charge Rip Off

My wife purchased $200plus merchandise and asked if items could be delivered. Staff & manager said "yes for a $25 extra charge".
When my wife came home & told me what she had bought, I checked online only to find out that purchases over $50 had FREE Same Day Delivery. When we called the store & talked to 3 different Customer Service Reps "they gave us a hard time & said we requested expedited delivery which we didn't". After telling them we wanted to cancel the order they said that if my wife returned to the store that they would take the $25 off our bill. Very inconvenient for us and a total rip off. I do not recommend this store and advise that you purchase items on Amazon "same price & free delivery right up front - no rip offs".

Brought it up to the staff's attention, they are aware and taking steps to correct as per Funko's permission. The Funko Pops, Rides and Movie Moments werent a bad selection BUT prices were TOO high. I will give the store a Shout=out on my Youtube channel, when they deserve it. Continue to shop at ur local ToysRUs and keep the stores open, we need the Variety. BUT the store needs to Step Up security.

New Mamas Beware: babies r us registry blunders

Babies r us is affiliated with toys r us here in Canada. I had some pretty bad experiences with having my baby registry through them during the pandemic so I decided to should share to save another new mama the hassle she doesn’t need at this time in her life.

Firstly, I would like to note that every single employee I met in store in Calgary locations were absolutely wonderful, unfortunately this does not negate the negative review for the below reasons:

1)Their shipping minimums can not come close to matching most competitors. It’s a whopping $75 min to qualify for free shipping and they charge astronomical amounts if you don’t hit that minimum amount. They don’t often have deals on shipping.

2)Their in store/online inventory literally changed hourly. So trying to keep all of my needed items current and available online was next to impossible. No one wants to shop in store and drop at peoples homes during a pandemic. This caused many people to deviate from my registry and shop elsewhere (often causing duplicates that I wasn’t even able to return because of the point below)

3) this was the worst of it......they often shipped gifts WITHOUT the packing slips, making it impossible for me to return/exchange or even know who gifted the item to me. I was expected to send mass emails to my friends/family/coworkers when this would happen to find out who gifted it to me and also request receipts through them to make returns (which is embarrassing and inappropriate to say the least). I was gifted something worth $170 at babies r us and the exact same gift was $79 on Amazon. I was forced to return the cheaper one because babies r us did not send the tracking document and blatantly refused to reissue it. $90 down the drain that would come in handy for many other needed items when having a new baby. Beyond disappointed in the customer service around these issues in particular. It’s not the customers fault that the company did not include proper slips when shipping.

4) items shipped to the house often came in packaging that was deteriorating, ripped, damaged. It almost left you wondering if the items were returned after being used, then shipped out and sold as brand new!?

This store is fine and actually quite fun when shopping in store, but Do yourself a huge favour and create your registry through someone else. It will save you a lot of hassle and phone calls and emails. I regret not using Amazon. You can easily see who purchased you a gift via your registry and returns are an absolute breeze.

Very disappointed.

I had a wonderful review at the Toys R…

I had a wonderful review at the Toys R Us in Hamilton Ontario on Centennial Parkway. I went in to look for a doll that poops trinkets that my two nieces absolutely have to have. Did not know what the name of the doll was when a worker named Taylor approached me and went above and beyond to help me she looked up the name of the doll and if they had any in stock. Her computer said they were all out but she would check the back to see if they have any. I was thinking I was out of luck but here she came with not one but two of the dolls I was looking for. My nieces will be extremely happy and I am very grateful for her excellent service. Taylor was extremely pleasant and very helpful very much appreciated.

Thunder Bay Toysrus is AWESOME!

With having to curb side pick up I was thoroughly happy with how quick, professional and Covid aware they handled our transaction. Was so good I ordered additional items from them instead of going to Walmart. The Thunder Bay store can give lessons in how to be professional on the phone and help our transaction be smooth and efficient.

I order some todays for my nephew and…

I order some todays for my nephew and it took over a month to get to my house it is now 9 days after christmas, this is unaceptable... I gave my nephew the toys and he got sick due to some leaking liquid i will be suing your company now!
