True Link Financial Avis 

The TrueLink card has allowed my Mom to have a debit card and make purchases without the worry of all of the scammers taking advantage of her. I've been able to block transactions that usually mean someone is getting into her money!!

True Link makes it so easy to perform my guardianship and payee duties! I have used TL for over four years now and find both their website and the app makes my life less stressful. I get all the info I need on my son's spending, can transfer money automatically on a weekly basis, and can set up additional one time transfer with little effort.

True Link has made my life so easy and consistent, I wish they'd help the government do the same with their clunky systems that sends guardians and payees off the rails!

I recommend TL to someone at least weekly because so many of us are struggling how to make money matters easier for us and for all the new events that come up that need immediate attention.

Very responsive customer service. Anytime I email with an issue or if I need something changed or updated I get a reply within an hour or two. Always very professional and helpful.

True Link is awesome to work with. They are very responsive and helpful when there is an issue. Our organization has over 200 clients on the debit card and it is very easy to manage accounts, schedule transfers, order replacement cards, etc.

Good card for individuals who need a spending limit. The monthly fee could be less. It’s pretty costly.

I get notified of every penny, my dad spends. It has helped him create a savings because he’s no longer allowed to just spend without thinking and have no money at the end of the month. He knows I’m gonna reach out to him if he spends more than a certain amount because it’s blocked. It’s a great way to help a parent get on top of their finances, especially when they’re too willing to give away their money. They have all the freedom and access. You both agree on what limits to place on the card. Give them $20 walking around money. Boom everybody’s happy and they can continue doing what they want to do.

Helpful knowledgeable and professional

I have used True Link for a little over 8 months now to help my son manage money. True Link is a wonderful tool for helping parents or guardians get money to their loved ones. True Link has a help "Chat" that can help with almost anything. If the "chat" can't help with more involved issues (which are few), then just email them and someone usually emails me back in minutes. I can fund the account easily, change funding in seconds and even do "emergency transfers" now that we have been with True Link for several months. To set the "emergency transfer" up, I just emailed True link support and literally in 16 minutes they emailed me back and had it all set up for me.
True Link is truly and great tool to help with managing someone else's money in a quick, easy and efficient way.

The individuals whom I have interacted with are kind, patient and very helpful whenever there is a problem. They are available whenever needed. I love True Link! They made my life as a rep-payee SO MUCH EASIER! They have great customer service. Whenever I have an issue they help, they don't give people a hard time. They actually schedule annual calls (if you want- no pressure) to just check in with you as a customer.

Ease of use and flexibility of spending controls

Beware that it takes a FULL WEEK for your money to be available on the true link card after you load the money onto it. Every single time. Horribly inconvenient.

This was a new pilot program for clients under State of Maine guardianship. I have found the True Link Support/Customer Service to be excellent. We have had no problems with communication. It is easy to request help on the website with any questions or concerns. I have received prompt consistent and thorough answers via email. The program is off to a very good start with many positives to client independence. I appreciate the opportunity to work with a company that puts such a positive effort into customer care/service/satisfaction.

I opened an account 5 years ago for a Trust account for my sister. We were able to customize it to meet her needs and add additional money within a few days to meet any additional expenses. It gives my sister a sense of responsibility and is a reliable and detailed copy of all purchases. I would highly recommend this system.

1. They sent me a VISA Card that can be Preloaded. That was visible and attention drawing in the XL envelope window.

It's not everyday that someone sticks sonething in the mail that specifically draws your eye with specialty font:
'Get your "prepaid VISA" right here!!'

It came in a semi-damaged envelope. Damage Looked too small to be able to extract the contents, but I tried anyways, and could extract with zero further damage.

So, It seemed entirely reasonable to ask for expedited & free replacement. They didn't try to charge for the non-activated card but their response was less than expected.
The replacement came with the envelope inside another special fast package which was safe & good. I do not have any idea if thats standard or special for my case. I suspect std due to the lack of additional wording, other than that I would switch to the slow & free mailing, Then, probably because it was already in the que or made, they waived the remainder.

ABOVE ALL ELSE - THE ENVELOPE SHOULD NOT ADVERTISE PREPAID CARD INSIDE.

The customer service was definitely not the worst, the human was fine for customer service who answers emails because its a minimum wage job, I expect it's the lack of training on 'how to spot an exception'/'urgent'. But that also left the company interaction substandard - both in lavk of urgency, and, in response to my question on if they would expedite the replacement for free, they initiated a process they were going to charge me for without first obtaining permission (ridiculous).

The replacement is fine.
The card works.
I am not impressed by the short-sightedness not being caught before me, the number of people who may have a compromised card, cause mail is usually safe. but its part of a limited program where there is one & only one option. and worse it is for a number of groups of people, but the red flag is it includes vulnerable people whom -compared to average- are more likely to open the envelope and think 'it's probably okay'.

An aside:
(Its odd its True Link Financial who I dealt with and is stamped on the vack of the card, but it also has something about issued by Sunrise Banks N.A.) But all my dealings interactions were directly through True Link, and I clicked through the review link. (I think my first non-spontaneous review!)
