True Link Financial Avis 

My mom got a fraudulent call and an attempt was made to buy gift cards using her true link credit card. Because I was able to customize settings on merchant and spending limts, the charge was declined and we avoided a $400 charge.

This was extremely useful to fund a credit card a Trust beneficiary can use to pay for Education expenses.

Love the concept and it is helping keep my mother’s expenditures in check. However, the length of time between funding and the dollars showing up on the card is entirely too long.

My mother had been progressing from cognitive decline to dementia. When meeting with her Financial Advisor about what steps we might take to help protect her from herself, he commented that there really wasn't anything we could do until after her first big "mistake". I thought there should be a better answer, and I found one in True Link Financial. With True Link Financial's easy setup and easy-to-use administration portal, Mom got to keep what she saw as her credit card and financial freedom, and I got to help protect her from making any big mistakes.

True Link handles my son's disability account and I need varying need for funds at odd and inconsistent times. They are always helpful and pleasant.

This product worked exactly as promised, and was exactly what I needed to manage household expenses for my 90yo father with ALZ. For a small monthly fee I was able to load the account with money that his caregiver could use to purchases groceries and other household expenses. When I moved him into a care home, the balance in the account was refunded in just a couple of days. Highly recommend.

This card has been amazing in getting my mother’s spending (dementia) under control. I can block not only specific merchants but also key words. I can also block subscriptions. It has blocked hundreds of dollars of spam crap from her phone. Great job!

Having a True Link Financial pre paid credit card has been really helpful in letting me administer my son's account and giving us both access to a helpful dashboard. The customer service representatives have been extremely helpful. My son and I are both extremely satisfied with this product and the support for the credit card.

True Link has been incredibly helpful for managing my daughter’s spending. One of the things I appreciate most is that there are real people I can contact by email when I need assistance, and I’m not stuck sitting on hold waiting for someone to answer the phone.

The app also offers features that go well beyond what I’ve found with traditional banks. I can monitor spending and receive the alerts I need, which makes it much easier for me to stay informed while still allowing my daughter to use her card independently.

The combination of excellent customer service, convenient features, and the ability to customize how I monitor spending has made True Link a great fit for our family.

My mother had been the victim of several scams, and I opened a TruLink account to prevent any more financial loss. She loved that she was still able to be independent and spend money with her friends, at the grocery store, etc, without having to ask me for money every time, and I loved being able to block various categories of transactions, and most importantly that i could block her from getting cash from the card.

I also loved the instant notifications sent when transactions were made, whether they were approved or blocked. Usually if they were blocked but shouldn't have been, I saw the notification quickly enough to fix it while she was standing right there at the register, so she wasn't embarrassed. It took a little while to get all of the settings right, and to figure out which stores were in which categories, and the appropriate limits for each, but the app makes it very easy to change things quickly. I was even able to allow specific stores within a category, but block the rest (for example, the grocery store closest to her, but not all of them).

The True Link card made it possible for my mom to keep her independence and for me not to have to worry about it.

My father has dementia and has been susceptible to scams. There was no way to give him access to his money without him giving it all away to scammers. True Link has been the only solution to that problem we have found. We have been using it for years without any issues. Thank you True Link for existing! You are helping so many people in the world that would otherwise have no option.

Our offices recently moved and in the middle of that we ordered a card for one of our clients. We still have not received the card, though we think it was delivered to the old address.
Lisa Marie, the Rep I spoke with, reordered the card to be expedited to the new address with no fees charged. Not only did she handle the problem quickly, but made me feel like we are a respected client of True Link. I really appreciated her care with getting our client her new card as quickly as possible!

This debit card made managing my paranoid schizophrenic brother's trust much more effective. I was able to give him control of much his spending and prevent spending from most scammers who prey upon such individuals. The adjustable spending limits and control of where he spent was very helpful to him. He saved almost $15,000 in one year by elininating scams from taking his money.

I just got off the phone with Ash. A++ service!! She was super patient with me as I was trying to figure out some spending issues on my son's card. She was so professional and yet warm and understanding at the same time. I have had many dealings with the folks at True Link, and I've always had positive experiences. In fact, I will say their customer service is uncommon in a great way. Thanks so much to Ash for helping me during a stressful time!

Great company. They listen and understand my goals and have been working toward them with me.

For the first time since 2002, I have control, knowledge , and ease of providing the beneficiary a weekly living allowance. The immediate notifications via email and text is flawless. The immediate information provided has been extremely helpful in many ways from my protection as trustee (that I am providing sufficient funds etc) to reporting to the beneficiary’s family.

The savings account and ability to move money over to the link card in real time has provided me with complete flexibility with no worries of a time lapse btw money moved over and its availability to the beneficiary.

One issue that has been difficult to work around is the required amount of money needed on the link card for the purchase of gas at the pump. Depending on the company, a balance of $150 to $200 is needed on the card for at pump purchases. I had elected to not allow in store gas purchases. I have a work around but it is a bit more work.

Staff members have been great. Easy to talk to , understanding and clearly concerned about any troubles we have with suggestions and a sense that my issues are brought forward for improvements to be made.

I have a huge appreciation for the True Link card and overall customer experience. This card was a lifesaver when my Mom who has Alzheimer's still needed a card but we needed to restrict her spending. There wasn't a charity or political 'ask' via text or email that she didn't want to help fund and she was donating multiple times per day because she 'forgot'. The card was easy to set up, manage and anytime we had a question the team was super helpful and on point. This card has helped her keep her dignity when she is in a situation in which she wants to 'treat people', get a few things at the store or make sure she is 'paying her fair share' without having to ask her grown kids for permission. At the same time, we can block and set alerts on categories to make sure no one is taking advantage of her. Highly recommend.

Great customer service. Easy to use platform. Good support with onboarding and training. Great reporting and statements are easy to download all at once. We have 30 individuals that we are rep payee for, and this helps us stay compliant with ADP and Social Security audits.
