Excellent Service
My son was struggling with his A level physics and becoming quite frustrated.
I didn't know any physics tutors personally and so decided to try tutorful. The platform is easy to negotiate and we made contact with Richard .He replied to my enquiry immediately. He is a very experienced tutor with knowledge of all the exam boards .The most important thing is that my son's confidence is already growing. Richard is discovering gaps in his knowledge and helping to fill those so my son understands a topic fully .
Payment is taken after every lesson .
As a parent the relief is huge ! Just to see my son starting to enjoy the subject. Highly recommend based on our experience

Very helpful staff. And the quality of the Tutorful virtual classroom makes online teaching and learning feel like a breeze! :)
Tutorful admin staff are great in my experience! Both Evie and Emily at Tutorful have been understanding, thoughtful and supportive regarding some technical queries I've recently had.
The lessons are going well, both from the tutor's (my) perspective and, importantly, from my students' angles too! There is unfortunately a commission rate for teachers that is likely very unavoidable, however there are many advantages to having Tutorful's ongoing support and secure online platform! And, in my experience, they happen to be such a friendly team too!

Peter is teaching my son English
Peter is teaching my son English, Kieran doesn’t always connect great with people due to Asperger’s but Peter knows exactly how to adapt his lessons so that Kieran gets the best out of it, he’s already improving his grades, Peter is so worth it we are so very happy wit him, he’s very knowledgeable and very kind

Lots of options to find a tutor that you like
Lots of options to find a tutor. I like the feature that you can watch the lesson (as it s recorded).
The downside is that I can not just have a lesson every other week, so I need to keep asking the tutor to cancel. There is no option for bimonthly.

Good but could be better
My child is using this platform and overall is happy with the tutoring itself. There are some shortcomings with the platform's functionality itself. If Tutorful could fix that, it would make it for a much nicer user experience.

Having worked for Tutorful for five…
Having worked for Tutorful for five years, they have become more money grabbing and the service has declined greatly. Tutors are not paid for some work and the cut taken has increased. The parents are paying over the odds for access to subject specialists.

We would like to reassure you that we always prioritise paying tutors if their student has not paid them for their time. Please do let us know at support@tutorful.co.uk if there are any lessons for which you are missing payments and we can ensure you are paid correctly for your time.
We can confirm that Tutorful also never takes payment from tutors. Tutors select their chosen rate that they would like to earn and then students pay the cost of this, plus our service fee, which is directly invested into improving the platform and processes for users.

My son was initially hesitant to have…
My son was initially hesitant to have an online lesson, so I was in the room with him.
The tutor, Helena, quickly made him comfortable within few minutes of the lesson starting and he gave me a thump to leave the room.
Every time I asked him about the lesson, his response is, "the lesson was very good and I'm beginning to understand things better".

My first lesson went really well overall. The audio and video quality were very clear, which made communication smooth and comfortable. The student was engaged throughout the session, and we were able to cover the planned content effectively. Hello we love tutorful! The quality of tutors is out of this world (excellent) but for some reason we sometime experience issues connecting and have to reschedule our lessons. I am also unable sometimes to access the messages board. I refresh without luck.

Dee is an amazingly patient & kind tutor, she is engaging and never minds explaining things fully and in depth. She has a very jolly demeanor and always seems happy to be tutoring. We have managed to source 2 excellent, reasonably priced tutors via Tutorful. The process of finding a tutor, scheduling lessons, messaging the tutor and paying for lessons is all very smooth. Would highly recommend.
