TV Aerial Company Avis 

Lee came to our home in Nottingham to find out why one of our TVs had stopped working. He checked all of the internal connections and found a faulty cable which he replaced for us. He showed us everything he was doing and he explained all of the possible charges to us and then recommended the most economic remedy. He worked in a clean and tidy manner and did not even stop for the heavy rain! This was an excellent service and I can highly recommend it.

Avoid, Avoid, says free quote on website, no such thing - two guys turned up and then charged me £82.80 - said they did a dyagnistic test (which I did not request or see them carry out), then said that the installation of new aerial and cabling would cost £400+.

All I wanted was a quote on installing a new TV socket it my lounge so I could receive freeview channels.

I asked for them to check with the office, I then get a threatening letter of legal action for not paying for the quote.

Please Avoid!, much cheaper installers out there, finally got new aerial and instalation for less then £150.

Nice guy,sorted out my aerial problem,and,threw in a free fix on my old v.c.r.,so we can watch our old videos!! Nothing to much trouble,recommended.

PLEASE avoid this company. I asked for an aerial check as the signal I was receiving on both my TVs was fluctuating on certain channels at certain times of day. Andy arrived, took a quick look at my system and saw I use a booster (still under warranty) to serve both devices. Took out a meter and at first told me the booster was over-boosting the signal; then checked again and advised me it was actually reducing the signal - but of course, it was only doing this on certain frequencies at certain times of the day! I had in fact to ask him to go up on the roof and even look at the aerial (what I'd initially requested), which he told me was functioning perfectly. However, he also told me to disconnect the booster when the issue occurred and plug the cable directly into the TV; if the problem persisted, then it was aerial - i.e. he could not guarantee the aerial was in fact functioning correctly! Charged me £82.80 for less than 15 minutes' time at my address. I'm happy to replace my booster, but will never use this company again.

After the awful weather at the weekend we lost our TV signal from the aerial.
I'm not an aerial engineer so I scoured the internet to find someone who could come out today. I filled in the form to get an engineer to visit my home and fix the problem and was very promptly phoned back and a time was made.
The engineer was Martin W and he was very professional and fixed the problem within the hour.
I was very happy with the service provided and would definitely recommend them to others.

Wanted between £449 to £519 to supply and fit a replacement Freesat satellite dish on a chimney breast, 2 story detached house. A new satellite dish is £50! That's £400+ for going up a ladder for a 20min job. Rejected quote then got a phone call follow up about a discount. If you can't give an honest quote the first time why would I use you? Going rate for what I want doing is £200. Lucky I did my research.

Our TV aerial was repaired very satisfactorily.
The installer arrived on time and had our TV working well.

DO NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY - they have just ripped my vulnerable mother off to the tune of £460 for a tv bracket to be fitted to the wall.
we are calling the police as we believe this is a rip off company charging what the hell they like. she's also hard of hearing and was told it was a lot less on the phone for the bloke to turn up and charge £460 is disgusting - this is daylight robbery. thieves without masks this company is - do not contact do not have work done by them - you will be absolutely ripped off. took all of my mums last money. DISGUSTING - hope their families get ripped off by someone.

Was quoted a price for elderly relative then when engineer arrived paper was put in her face which he told her to sign, she explained that she she couldn’t read it. She asked him to explain what was on it and if it would add any cost. He told her no then proceeded to do the work then do tell her after it was done to add an extra £120 to the cost quoted and told her she had signed to say she would pay. Engineer was rude and aggressive so she just accepted the invoice. Terrible experience and clearly took advantage of an elderly customer, who trusted him.

The call out fee is what it is. The company charged me for a new part for the satellite dish which on other sites is £15 - a whopping £140 + VAT.

The part was fitted before I was given the option to accept or refuse. Very poor service.

Be aware that this company has very high charges.
I would not recommend this company and write this review to warn others.

If known how bad this camera system was we'd have gone elsewhere. After having the cameras fitted the app to connect the cameras to our phones worked OK but gradually over time it got worse and now it can be weeks before managing to connect. The app they tell you to use has nothing to do with them and it's impossible to contact the app company. The TV aerial company have said that we need to pay £95 plus VAT just for a diagnostic then they'll either tell us its the app at fault or add another few hundred on for "repairs". It's just been a rip off from the start, I'd rather bin this system and go with a proper company.

Gavin installed our StarLink. He was a friendly and knowledgeable chap, and did a great job.

The first appointment, which I took a day off for, was cancelled last minute. That was frustrating, but that was another installer, not Gavin 👍

I contacted TV Aerial Company yesterday. They contacted me within a few hours and fitted a new aerial the next day.

Gavin was professional, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely use TV Aerial Company again!

I was meant to get my sky signal fixed today by who I thought was a Sky engineer and this company TV Aerial Company sent a man called Spencer to check what the problem was, he ran a diagnostics test on my signal and he couldn't find out why it wasn't working and told me to call sky and ask for a new box to be sent to my address, then he charged me £94.80 for the call out charge, I then got hold of Sky and explained my problem to them and they told me they had no record of an engineer being sent to my address on there system and that they have no record of my sky signal having any problems I asked the sky assistant on the phone if he had ever heard of TV Aerial Company and he said no and that I had been taken advantage of. Don't use this company there a fraud.

Very poor the engineer was here for less than half an hour and left leaving me with the impression that every thing was functioning again.It wasn't. the same fault (no picture )was still there When I complained the next day I was told the engineer would phone me he didn'tTwo days later I received a phone call when he claimed that I must have a faulty TV this was not even mentioned during his visit so it felt very glib to diagnose this over the phone three days later.
I feel further incensed because ,at his suggestion ,I paid cash in order to save VAT??? I was told ,by the receptionist that this was a "good will "gesture from him.I don't quite see how he can bypass a goverment tax to do this.
Had I been told on the initial visit that myTV was faulty I would have accepted that I was being given professional advise and happily paid £69 but I am afraid that the whole experience was handled very badly and unprofessionally and I am left feeling cheated

Charged more than £740 for putting a Tv bracket on the wall in Wirral. Took advantage of an elderly couple. Scammers of the highest order. Avoid. Reported.

I phoned two day ago. They phoned back immediately and also the second day. They phoned One hour before the installation time and the engineer phoned whilst he was coming. He did all the work and replaced an amplifier box which was faulty. His manner and all the girls in his office, were so friendly and very competent. I am so pleased with this company.

Engineer (John Robinson) he was able to install a 43" TV on a plasterboard wall without issues. He was able to do it while hiding all cables and power sockets already on the wall so the end result was nice and clean. Happy with the results.
