TV Aerial Company Avis 

It's taken sometime to get round to posting this due to a family bereavement. Anyway 5 stars for the service when I had my TV wall bracket fitted in Feb-22. Special shout out to Tyler W (Ariel Force) who went the extra mile in checking the best options for the bracket (I initially bought the wrong one). The guy had patience of a Saint. Cleaned up after themselves, sorted the wires. Anyway we got there in the end. Highly recommend the company to anyone wanting work around Manchester.

Existing 50 year old TV aerial on our old (and very high) house broke over weekend after weeks of poor reception. Rang them up at 9.30am and asked for a quote. Engineer phoned and arrived at 1.30pm. Gave me a quote including some wiring.
Accepted quote and work completed - despite rain and a few curious honey bees :-) - by 2.45pm.
Tested system and worked perfectly. Paid and Engineer tided up and left by 3.00pm.

Pleasant efficient service helped greatly by a very effective payments system. I paid by credit card in under two minutes.

Highly recommended.

PS : our reception is now vastly better than before.

Just has Dean and Toby come out and fit my new tv to the wall, I booked at the weekend and they arrived Monday the company contacted me promptly and rang on Monday morning to confirm the time. Dean arrived, reviewed the job told me how much checked everything was ok to proceed with the structural element and Toby and he had the job done quickly, efficiently with no mess. Friendly, good sensible advice given. Not the cheapest I’m sure, but I still feel they were good value for the service. All round great job, thank you.

I had an appointment today which was scheduled between 4pm and 6pm. The company were advised, when making the booking, that this was the only available time slot that I could make due to other commitments. On the day of the appointment, I received a call, asking if I could make the appointment earlier. I referred them to my previous conversation, and the agent confirmed the appointment of between 4pm and 6pm. By 17.40, I telephoned the company to find out when the engineer would turn up I was told that he wouldn’t be turning up. I did not receive a call from the company to advise this, which I think is shocking, as I waited for the engineer during the agreed hours of the appointment. There was no apology. I was then told by the agent that I had been informed by two other agents that I was advised that they can’t guarantee appointment slots. This is a LIE. I was not informed of this. I asked to speak to a manager, but was not passed onto one The agent now stated that she was the manager, but she wouldn’t allow me to raise a complaint..hence this review. When I stated that I would write a review on my experience, the agent / manager stated that negative reviews will be deleted I hope it doesn’t, as I want others to know how shocking this company is, and how they treat their customers.
The response from the company is not accurate. I spoke to an agent mid morning and advised that I was only available between 4pm and 6pm. The agent stated that she would make a note of this. At no point was I informed on this, or any other occasion, that the appointment may not be met. I only learned of this on my call at 17.40 when I telephoned to find out the time the engineer would arrived. During this call I was offered to re-schedule. At no point was an appointment offered for the next day. The call at 4pm did not take place - my telephone records confirm this. This company’s customer service is appalling. They lie to their customers, and now it appears they also do this when a review is posted. Avoid this company. I have since had an email from Trustpilot as the company had asked for documentation to support my review. Having read other reviews, this is a common tactic as the company know that the appointment was made over the phone, and they don’t supply any documentation. However I provided my telephone records and my review stands.

I had a narrow escape with them today, having read their reviews AFTER I had contacted them to arrange a home visit for an estimate.
They have strong Google visibility so it is easy to choose them.
The quote I was given for wall mounting a tv was more than double of the most expensive quote I had received from an independent trader.
The engineer then started sale pressure tactics and trying to emotionally blackmail me, but I did not budge.
He wasn't rude, just manipulative. Thankfully, I did not part with my money, but I would advise everyone to avoid these guys.
They look like a professional outfit, but you will end up paying over the odds for them.

Came on a call-out, charged £600./00 to install a £25.00 piece of kit then didn't connect it properly so it failed. Then.. condemned the system and wanted £5,000.00 to install peripheral bits. we got it fixed for £120.00 by a reputable company.
AVOID THIS COMPANY NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE.
"Engineer" was rude, loud and wouldn't be interrupted in his diatribe of technical make-believe nonsense which he believes is known only by himself and believed by everyone. The existing SKY box was left damaged by the incorrect connection. he purposely turned down the polarity of the launch amp and removed other parts.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!!!! The most rude, disgraceful "engineer" I've ever met. Kept repeating the phrase "as quoted". Lee came out to do a "diagnostic" test. Took 10 minutes and charged £94.80. He kept throwing out prices at me which mounted up to over £600!!!!!! Was very droll and reminded me of that farmer in the"carry on camping" film. The one that kept wanting a pound for every tiny little thing. Only this was more like £100 for every little thing. His main aim was to humiliate my husband's DIY skills and I felt truly degraded by the time he left. Thank goodness he was only here for 10 minutes. WHAT a RIPOFF!!!!! I shall be contacting Angela Rippon and co. Very soon to report this DREADFUL company

When I searched for a local tv technology firm, this one appeared with an address local to me. It wasn’t.
The technician may have been local but the company is not.
I was quoted £79 for the work before the call-out which was acceptable. What was not mentioned was that this was excluding VAT so the final bill amounted to £94.80.

Edit on 27 June. This company has now asked me to provide my email address, telephone number, invoice number etc in order to respond to my review in detail via Trust Pilot otherwise my review “may be removed”.

I should not have to provide personal details, they are aware of their misleading practices and anyone can check by visiting the website and then ringing for a quote. When the majority of their customers are private individuals, not VAT registered traders, it is not good to quote a price and only when the job is completed does it become apparent that the price is not VAT inclusive.

The TV Ariel company in Angus (east coast) should be avoided at all cost. Got the cctv system to ensure security, but after changing my Wi-Fi hub (still same company, just a different hub) I suddenly can’t see the output on my phone. Called the TV ariel company to be told to try some other cctv company as they can’t deal with me. It seems once they have your money (exorbitant cost that I found out after could have been have the price) they no be longer care about the customer. Seriously, don’t waste your money on these charlatans.

The job cost £280, about £120 more than it should have been because they charged £178.80 for the LNB which is ridiculous. They also said they used their own employees to do the work but the engineer was a sub-contractor.

Very bad service don’t go any where near this company,they will not reply to any of my messages and phone calls to the engineer,I’m very disappointed in this company if I knew this before I would never have got these to put a TV Arial up on my house, after care service is very bad,now I’m worried if the warranty isnt worth the paper it’s written on and they are sadly to say not a professional company to deal and cooperate with their customers,they are ok while they are taking your money and after that there is no care, they are not a fit and proper company to deal with,be warned !!!

Very good response time when installing tv but problems after dealt with very slowly when I chased after 2 weeks got a very abrupt lady answer the call her attitude was def off no apology or anything. Felt like once they had my money didn’t care. Can’t recommend and won’t be using again

Awful!! They basically scam pensioners. The engineer didn't even quote before doing the work then asked for £759 for something that should have been £400 at the very most. Their other name is Aeriel Force. How they can do this to elderly people I just don't understand. Instead, please ask around and find a local company with a good reputation they want to keep instead of these awful people.
6th Feb and still not replied to an email!!!

Dean was excellent and fixed our problem within minutes, great bloke very friendly and chatty to my elderly parents who are over the moon with the service. Would definitely recommend and will use Dean again

Ignore other positive star ratings and scroll down and read. Absolutely appalling. Cost extortionate! £750+ VAT to deliver a £250 tv. Over £1200 cost of mounting bracket!

Although I am obviously out of touch with the cost of sorting out these problems I found the service I received excellent. Spencer is such an efficient, likeable guy who explained everything to me in detail and solved the problem quickly. He is definitely an asset to your company. Thank you.

Absolutely awful company stay away!!. I feel sorry for anyone stuck with them when I was. They quoted a low price but made me pay a higher price and I couldn't argue as it was done purposely in front of neighbours. Each time I leave a review here, their customer service company will say "please email us" but when I do they say the complaint is closed so please don't believe their responses from their customer service department because it looks as though they care when in reality they don't

Had a lovely young man out today to fit a tv bracket on the wall and connect to an aerial, he was extremely helpful and did a fantastic job, even though it wasn't the easiest. Would certainly recommend.

Bad enough I got charged £300 for a fella to be on my roof 10 mins, if that. Now, I can get all my channels but when it rains etc, I lose the channels that are my preference for watching. Called them, very polite lady and a callback from Peter who installed aerial on a pre existing pole..wasn't given a choice on payment because I wasn't told until end. Anyway, apparently it must be my 4yr old web ios thinQ tv. He was saying we got all the channels. Yeah, and I got them all with an indoor aerial and with the analogue aerial it was fine until this new aerial. A bad workman will always blame his "tools". Stay away from this company. How trading standards allow them to operate is beyond me! Even Dick Turpin wore a mask. P*** poor service and I'll be looking into the legalities, as I never even got a paper receipt.
