Venetian blinds were delivered and installed with a large glaringly obvious gap at the top. The gap cannot be closed without creating a gap at the bottom. Even then there is a gap at both ends. Definitely not ‘normal’, despite what this company tries to pass off. The operations manager as well as the owners were contacted but refused to do anything to fix the problem. Stear well clear of this company. Very unprofessional. They are not members of any relevant industry association. Only deal with those who are.

Untrustworthy operator and unsafe installation - BEWARE!

Purchased two outdoor motorized blinds with a 50% deposit. Delivery and installation ran very late but this was not a concern.

When installation took place there was multiple issues:
1. One of the blinds was not functional
2. Flashing to outside was not complete
3. Cover fell off during operation, could have killed a child if under it
4. Remotes programmed incorrectly
5. Blinds not square to surrounds & large gaps
6. One concrete screw on each end holding very heavy blind
7. Inside blind covers cut too short & not secured
8. Brackets not fixed securely in place
9. Poor workmanship
10. Very dangerous as cover fell as per video stills below

There appears to be no documentation or attention to:
- staff training
- quality control
- follow up service
- safety on site or in finished product

The installer agreed to come back within a week and repair/ finalize. Unfortunately my wife felt bullied by the installer and paid the full amount of the balance of the invoice (on his insistence) which was obviously a mistake.

Why is their policy payment in full before completion?
Read their reviews, it's the only way they ensure they'll be paid for their pattern of conducting incomplete and poor quality work.

Since final payment was made we have been communicating with sales person "Jodie" around rectification and finishing however have not been successful in having rectification made or a timeline to complete.

The outcome is the company has been paid in full for a product that has not been finished and one of the blinds is not functional and dangerous to operate. My advice to others is look for a credible operator but if you do choose this company hold back 50% payment until job is satisfactorily complete.

I will be finding an alternate supplier to rectify the works undertaken and will take legal action to recover the costs.

Footnote: got a call from Director Chris after my review who said he will not be repairing due to my review and will see me in court - LOL. I'm guessing "see you in court" would be a regular occurrence for this company. Chris did not question my concerns over quality or safety, his response leads me to assume these types of complaints are normal.

Contacted this company in November 2020.. took my deposit did not get my blinds until late January of this year. they have forever been broken and not installed properly.. from the management to the owners to the installers including the state manager are all disgusting to deal with.

Misleading and quiet Diseptive.

A disgusting culture that shortly can't last. Your company, your people and you are all predictable.

This company from the top to the bottom lacks any honesty and integrity. Formally Premier Blinds, they have changed names in likely to protect their past but the poison hasn't stopped dripping from the top. I've had a 12 month battle putting up with faults, unsuccessful installations, poor management, poor planning, horrible customer service, to end up with an installation that is not fit for purpose and now they are threatening to sue me! Oh the irony.. Please keep an eye out for what their new name will be once this entity gets too tarnished as well. Cowboys to be avoided at all costs. Absolutely disgraceful and the ACCC should immediately consider suspending Chris Ralph from ever being a director of another company again.

WARNING: DO NOT BUY BLINDS FROM THIS COMPANY

I took U Blinds Australia to NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal and the tribunal found:

“that the blinds are not of merchantable quality, and are not fit for the purpose for which they were supplied. The Tribunal is satisfied that the failure to comply with the consumer guarantees is a major failure, because a reasonable consumer would not have purchased the blinds if they knew that they would continually break and need ongoing repairs.”

I have also had a judgement/order registered in the Local Court against U Blinds, which is still outstanding.

In my experience U blinds, and in particular the director Mr C Ralph, has demonstrated a total lack of compliance with their contractual arrangements, warranty conditions and consumer law. The company has an appalling attitude towards its responsibilities under consumer law and a total disregard for the rights of its customers. U Blinds have ignored both the Tribunal and the judgement, which shows their utter contempt for the law and the rights of the customer. Avoid using this company!!
