Two defective units, no resolution, no refund
I backed the BOLD 2 Power Bank campaign by UZE on Indiegogo. My first unit failed after a few uses. I went through the full claims process — video documentation, multiple emails, shipping costs paid out of my own pocket — and finally received a replacement unit last November.
The replacement failed just as quickly. Screen turning on intermittently, device no longer charging at all. Exact same issues as the first unit.
I contacted support again. After weeks of emails — including copy-pasted responses and complete silence — UZE’s final “resolution” is this: film another video, pay shipping again, and maybe get a replacement approved. No guarantee. No refund possible. No free replacement possible. Because it was “a pledge.”
I followed the instructions manual to the letter every single time. This is not user error. And looking at other reviews here on Trustpilot, I am clearly not the only one facing this exact situation.
I have now filed a formal dispute with Indiegogo and initiated a chargeback with my payment provider. I am sharing this so other potential backers can make an informed decision before supporting this campaign.
Two defective products. Months of runaround. Zero resolution.

Absolute frauds

Absolute frauds. I knew there were problems with the first generation, but thought as a start-up they would have fixed it in the second generation. They tricked me in paying shipping cost 3 times. However, I have now 2 Powerbanks that don't work. Horrible for the environment and they should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. In three words: an incompetent fraud

Do not order Uze.Tech

Wish I would have found this site before. Made the mistake of backing them on kickstarter took two years and multiple follow up emails on my part to threaten them to follow through with sending me the unit which I rightfully purchased yet they appeared to be selling online to others before fulfilling their kickstarter order. Battery finally arrived and died within a month of use. I contacted them they took more money for shipping a “new” replacement product. Received that unit and it does not work and now support has stopped contacting me. Now I see on here this is a routine play they do for all their customers. DO NOT PURCHASE HERE! I am having to go to my payment provider to try and block them and looking into class action lawsuit.

Absolute junk

Absolute junk. Backed Bold 1 on Kickstarter took nearly two years to deliver and it worked for about a month. Opened a support ticket and got nowhere, the battery bank ended up in recycling. Total garbage avoid at all costs

Bought a Uze.tech product. Battery died. I opened a support ticket in August — since then zero response, zero updates, zero accountability. No email, no call, no refund, no repair. Just radio silence.

This isn’t a glitch, it’s a pattern of selling junk and ghosting customers. They push green-sounding marketing and charge full price, then abandon you when the hardware fails. If you value your time and money, avoid Uze.tech — they behave like scammers and should not be trusted.

Save yourself the headache. Don’t buy from them.

This is absolutely a failed product

This is absolutely a failed product.

I bought 1, it worked 1 weekend. Was told I need to use their speciality cable and speciality charger. I hadn’t. Bought another one and specialty charge ( came with cable) [I know, stupid, I guess]. Second one came bricked. Contacted support several times and they have been non-responsive or useless over 2 months of communication.

I would not recommend this product in any way.

I manage a team of 30 software, hardware, computer, embedded system engineers and had high hopes that this product would untether me to a wall.

Nope, repeated attempts to request a replacement and talk to support. North of $500 dollar investment will zero working solution. Stay away!!!!

Don’t buy this!
I’m currently on my fourth Bold power bank, and every single one has failed. The first time it broke, I had to wait over a year for a replacement through the warranty process. Now the fourth one has also stopped working, and I’ve been waiting over 6 months again—still no resolution, no clear updates from support. This company clearly doesn’t stand behind its product. Avoid at all costs.

Scam, avoid at all cost

My experience is as bad as the other reviewers. This company is a scam, do not buy anything from them at all. I paid $140 extra shipping cost but they keep shipping me faulty units. After paying over $1000 for 2 units, I don't even have one working units.

They said unless I pay more shipping charge, they won't ship me warranty replacement.

Terrible product

Terrible product. Similar experience as most other reviews here. Worked the first time. Then, after not using for a few months, it depleted itself almost instantly and won't charge back up. What a joke of a product and company!

I purchased two bold 2 units from UZE…

I purchased two bold 2 units from UZE through crowd funding. Took forever to get the power banks. The first one charged once and never worked afterwards. Tech support is poor, asks for video proof of the malfunction and then nothing. I have bugged them for months and no replacement of the first unit. Now the second unit has the same malfunction. I still have not had a response from my tech support on the first power bank.
Starting to feel like I gave been scammed

Warranty is a joke

Warranty is a joke. Got the bold 2 on kickstarter and it failed after light use. Contacted customer support who blamed me for using a non official charger, when I bought the power bank they didn't have their own charger for me to purchase.

So I originally supported the Bold2 Kickstarter Campaign and despite some of their difficulties received my product in a reasonable timeframe and didn't have the logistics issues a number of other backers had.
My first unit worked brilliantly initially and after a month or so, it had depleted and wouldn't charge back up. After going through their process and providing the videos, they finally agreed to replace it.
There was no instructions or requests from UZE support to return the old non-functioning unit, so when we decided to move overseas permanently a few months later, I disposed of it as we sold everything up.
I also bought the UZE charger and cables with the replacement as they had indicated that it could be a problem in the future, despite having had good 100W GAN chargers.
Last month the second unit did the same thing. When I contacted UZE for warranty support they advised I needed to take a video of both the old and the new unit. When I informed them that I didn't have the old one, they said that because I hadn't returned it, they could not provide warranty support.
I obviously argued this and explained that they never requested or outlined in the steps for the first warranty claim that I had to return it.
There has been silence since and they won't return emails. While there are still not other products on the market that have all the features of the Bold2 there are certainly other 27,000mAh power banks that have a better reputation and provide just as good power supply options, just maybe not the wireless charging.
Not a big deal for me, so back to Anker I have gone. At least they back their products unlike UZE.

I received my power bank after paying extra to have them ship it.

it worked great.

for 2 weeks.

In April I filed a request for repair / replacement. I followed their process and uploaded the videos showing how it wasn't working etc.

they still haven't repaired it or sent me a replacement.

they're not a scam per se, but totally not worth the risk. It is a good bit of kit when it worked, but their customer service is extraordinarily poor.

there are other power banks out there that offer similar capabilities. so far the device and the customer service have proven equally unreliable.

Købte en Bold 1 som jeg var glad for ind til den gik i stykker, og jeg så sloges med firmaet om at få den erstattet. Inden denne proces, havde jeg desværre også købt ind på deres kickstarter på Bold2. Den første kom jeg aldrig mål med at få erstattet. Bold 2 kom et halvt år forsinket, for så at gå i stykker efter 2 md. Denne erkender de skal skiftes, men har ikke igennem de sidste 6 måneder kunne give mig en status på andet end at de har problemer med leverancerne af dele. Jeg skal selv rykke for opdateringer, svaret er altid "tak for tålmodigheden". Godt koncept, elendigt produkt.

UZE.tech is a Predatory Scam—Do Not Fall for It

UZE.tech claims to sell a “graphene” power bank, but in reality, it’s just an overpriced lithium-ion battery with misleading marketing. I backed their Bold power bank on Indiegogo, expecting premium quality, but what I got was a defective product and a nightmare support experience.

🚨 Here’s what UZE won’t tell you:
❌ Fake Graphene Claims – There’s no proof their battery is graphene-based. It functions like a standard lithium-ion power bank despite their marketing.
❌ Fails to Charge Properly – Their support admits it ONLY works with their charger, despite being advertised as USB-C PD compatible. High-end chargers from reputable brands don’t work.
❌ RMA Process is a Joke – They demand excessive proof (videos, specific cables, multiple tests) just to make you quit the return process.
❌ Defective Replacements – After months of fighting, they sent a replacement. It had the same issue.
❌ Shady Customer Service – The CEO blocked me on LinkedIn rather than addressing my concerns.

⚠️ If you got scammed by UZE.tech, here’s what to do:
✔ File a complaint with the Florida Attorney General (myfloridalegal.com)
✔ Report them to the FTC (reportfraud.ftc.gov) and the BBB (bbb.org)
✔ Warn others on Reddit, Indiegogo, and review sites

💀 Bottom Line: UZE.tech is running a predatory scam. Their marketing is false, their support is evasive, and their product is defective. Want a real power bank? Buy from a legit brand like Anker or Zendure. Don’t waste your money on UZE.

Waiting for BOLD 2 power bank since November 2023

Ordered the BOLD 2 power bank off their indiegogo (the campaign ended on November 2023, which succeeded and seemed to have backing of big YouTubers. I thought that would make it legit, but I haven't received my power bank. As of today, it's already been over a year! They're not very responsive and the updates are them just saying "We're trying to figure it out".

Disappointing to say the least.

The worst customer service in Tech. Fraudulent campaign

The whole situation is clearly ridiculous with UZE. After failing to ship the power banks to the backers for more than a year, I finally took the 'optional delivery' only for the shipment to get stuck for 2 weeks in china with no update or explanation!
I needed to follow up only to get yet more excuses and be told that UZE are running through issues with the shipping (sounds too familiar) and blamed boarder policies!
It is inexcusable service and worse management. Total disregard to customers and negligence/ carelessness on their part.
I never needed to write a comment but I want to make sure people are aware of how unprofessional and shameless UZE is.

Bold2 Power Bank - non delivery

I purchased the Bold2 Power Bank via indiegogo in 2023 and was then tapped up by Uze for shipping but still have not received my unit. From reviews it looks like the Bold2 doesn’t work anyway so my advice is avoid.
