Crossfade LP2

I have the crossfade LP2, Super uncomfortable headphones, audio quality is not good, super muddy low mids and a massive dip in the 2k-4k range, while also not having much highs at all, it's almost entirely mid- low mids. Headphones also clamp incredibly tight on your head and it start to hurt your ears after an hour or two. I have used headphones i've bought for 70 euro that are better than these at 200.

I owned two pairs of Crossafade M-100 along with some cheaper models in the past. The headphones look fantastic, sound great... but that's about it. Both M-100 I had, managed to break at some point in completely different places. And it definitely wasn't caused by abuse. Second time it was the left driver that gave up so I decided to replace it. I reached out to the company inquiring about spare parts 3 times, but I got completely ghosted! What the hell is this? This is something I would expect when buying headphones from Temu. They do have sth called "immortal warranty" program, which is complete bullshit. It's not really any sort of warranty, it's just discounts for new products... Why do they expect the customers to just trash their headphones even in case of minor issues? Even thought those headphones are supposed to be built to last, they feel more like disposable products.

This company lies to customer

This company lies to customer. I have bought v-moda headphones with overseas shipping. Whole process took 3 months (!) to deliver. Headphones stopped working after only 1 week of usage. I contacted support and they promised I'll get a refund. When I sent headphones back (which wasn't cheap) they changed their mind and refused to give me a refund, instead sent another pair and I was forced to pay another customs tax. The whole support experience was a nightmare - half of my emails were left unanswered and at the end I lost about 100$. This was really the worst support experience I have ever had.

Support long after warranty

I ask for spare parts to repair my my Headphones (M100) that I bought in 2015. After I send them a short description and two images showing the defect parts, all they needed was my address to send me the parts for free inclusive delivery from US to EU.

That is one of the best customer supports I ever had!

The repair was easy and the Headphones are now as good as new.

I shouldn't have trusted the fake 5 star reviews

Quality:
It was okay for its price range, but there are substantially better options out there.

Aesthetic:
Cheap $10 headphones have a similar look. Underperforms for its price bracket

Quality:
Mine broke within the first 3 months. I use it for basic activities and working out. But, when i saw the inside of the headphone (after it broke and opened up obviously), I could see that the parts were very poor quality parts and that little filaments of glue were all that holds it together. I expect this from 5-10 range headphones, not $70+

Customer Service:
Terrible. I sent my headphones in under warranty and did everything as instructed on their website. 3 weeks later I contact customer service as I haven't gotten any notice. The agent is borderline rude and explains to me that I need to track down my package to get it to them since they don't have it and won't replace my headphones without it. I don't know if this is true or not, but the agent didn't bother to offer any type of alternatives or accommodations...pretty much a "it sucks to suck" type of approach, which I find even more absurd given that the headphones are clearly broken and I wouldn't spend the time and money (you return it on your own dime, they don't pay for it) to send it back and purchase an alternative in the meanwhile just so I can get a 4 months newer version. Bad business and terrible customer service.

Overall:
Strong recommendation to PASS on this brand. They purposefully raise prices to a value they aren't worth to then go on "sale" to values that are still higher than they are worth. This is a $5 headphone brand masquerading as a middle-line brand. Don't be fooled by the sales or the paid promotions through places like PC Mag. There is a reason they have more 1 star reviews on customer review sites than 5 star.

Good Service in Warranty

I had my V-Moda M100 Master headphones for almost 2 years. The screws on the sides have fallen off due to extensive fall damage and the hinge itself has become loose; everything else still worked, but it was not as comfortable as before. Since it still had warranty, I contacted V-Moda and Erik Massie replied, saying that they could send me replacement parts for a DIY fix, at no cost, but I declined, as I had no confidence to repair them myself so I decided to mail my headphones to them for repair; along with the warranty form and proof of purchase, I also left a note with them, requesting if they could ship my headphones back to me with DIY replacement parts after they repair them, in case they break down again in the future. After 29 days, I got a package from them and to my surprise, it was a brand new set (same model, slightly different design), and it also came with a free set of XL cushions! I'm lovin' it!
Edit: 2 weeks after, I received a small parcel from V-Moda. To my surprise, it was the DIY replacement parts that they offered!

Continuously worsening quality and customer service

I've been a customer of V-Moda for over 12 years, during which I've had 5 or 6 pairs of over the ear headphones from them. I originally purchased them because of their reputation as durable high end headphones with excellent customer service. This was my experience for about 5 years, which is about how long the first pair lasted. In the time since their quality control and customer service has only gotten worse. It isn't unusual to order a pair of headphones and find that the first pair delivered quickly break. V-Moda has been good about replacing these, but once the initial 1 year warranty is up they won't even respond to emails. At this point you shouldn't expect them to last longer than 1-3 years/pair and, at the price point their sold at, this is really not enough.

Worst CS Rep BILLY. No guarantee.

I paid for first class international postage. Unfortunately, there is no time period or ETA mentioned on the shippings page, or the delivery email I received.

I have been waiting for 35 days for my headphones, with no update.

BILLY then responded to my inquiry, saying that first class will take 6-8 weeks. Why was I not informed earlier?

I then asked if BILLY could at least defer the 60 day refund GUARANTEE until I actually received the headphones. BILLY denied said request.

I also asked if BILLY could defer my warranty until I received the product. BILLY ignored the question.

Do not purchase from v-moda directly. If you really REALLY need to purchase their products, use Amazon as they actually care about their customers.

"Sorry for the inconvenience" BILLY.

Warranty is a joke! RUDE cust rep "Billy"

I bought a audio cord in 2021( still under 1 year warranty). The cold stock working 2 months ago in December 2021 II try to submit a warranty email email but because I did not have my not have my product number or order number I could not complete it. I spoke to a customer service rep Erik Massie Dec 17th and wad told to provide a video showing me cutting up the cord so he can see me a replacement. I sent the video and had no response. I sent a follow up email asking for the status last week no response.

I called customer service again and spoke to "Billy". A very arrogant and unprofessional customer service rep. I told him about Erik and that I just wanted to replace it. He became angry and said Eric didn't have the authority to tell me that. I sent Billy the video and he said it did not show me did not show me cutting the cord. He asked about the cord and I told him I threw it way once I cut it in half. He told me to go online and fill out a warranty request again.

The reason why I had to keep calling back to customer service was the warranty request ask for the order number and cord #. I explain this to Erik and he gave me a order # to put on the request. ( it didn't work, could not complete the request. I explained this to "Billy" and was told to complete the request because the order # is optional. No it is not! I could not complete the request because of the missing information. I don't know who "Billy" is but he doesn't need a custom service job!

Maybe this is just what V-moda expects their employees to be rude and offer no assistance after the sale. I know I will not get a replacement cord and it is a shame because I have V-moda headsets that I bought 7 years ago that still work that's why I bought the cord. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

V-Moda XS The sound is good but thats it.

V-Moda XS The sound is good, but that is where the positive part of the experience ends.
All of the tiny screws that hold the hinges on have come lose several times until i used some loctite.
The covers at the end of the head band have all broken or cracked, and after 3 years ownership the ear cushions have fallen apart.
The durability of the product is not up to the price.
I have a slightly cheaper set of Audio-Technica's that are still working fine!!

Really struggling with these… I had to…

Really struggling with these… I had to send them back extremely disappointed. They look awesome and love the no gap band. But the sound is just inadequate. There is some issue with the driver, it distorts so badly at certain frequencies that it hurts my ears snd makes me wonder if they burnt down. They also sound very harsh and unbalanced in many songs , don’t get it at all because on the other hand they are well built and very clean in some genres, or lower volume. I really think they probably have some electrical issue with the driver.

Stay away from V-Moda!

The headphones are comfortable and sound great, much like other headphones of the same price.

BUT:
If anything breaks they will absolutely not sell you replacement parts. I have the Crossfade 2 wireless. A little hinge the size of a sim card went loose. They will not send another hinge - a 2 minute fix if I had that part. And they will not repair the current one because it doesn't have warranty (I purchased mine on Ebay).

Even if you are still under warranty they will have you send the headphones back to them for however much this will cost you or take time rather than sending you a little tiny piece of metal for an easy fix.

So basically - my headphones are useless now.

LOSERS! I will never buy another V-Moda. Ever again!

Let me add that I love the Vmoda sound but had the product durability. So I've given up on Vmoda products after 3 separate purchases (I tried to be loyal) and 1 replacement. I'm not going to bother with the second or third replacement. Also the warranty is shrinking before my eyes. All the products that I paid good money for have only one side of the headphone working. Each stopped making sound after about the second year of use. One pair I was even getting electrical shocks...sent the video of the bad wiring and that set was replaced. So I have 2 $300 headphones and 1 in-ear headphone that is essentially a paperweight. I'll never buy Vmoda again and sorry to all the people that I promoted their products to buy them. Finally, I gave Vmoda 1 star but wanted 0 stars because I have 0 headphones to listen to music on.

Bad customer service.

I am an amateur audiophile who owns over 30 headphones and earphones ranging from $25 to $2,000. This is my personal and genuine experience with V-Moda.

All their responses are 'buy a new one' or 'send your old headphones for a 20% discount voucher'.

It's an absolute disgrace; after the warranty the headphones cannot be repaired. I repeat, there is 0 support after the warranty, and no V-Moda products can or will be repaired by them.

They used to be decent as they offered a 50% refund voucher for the value of your headphones, so you would pay half for the same headphones if you wanted a new one, now all I see is greed. Save your money. Unless you want to spend $300 every now and then. They just lost a customer and I will never recommend them to anyone anymore (i have recommended their product to at least half a dozen people).

The headphones themselves sound good, I like them, but the company policies and customer support are just abysmal. Steer clear, there are better options.

I have had a crossfade wireless 2 for 1.5 year.

At first it looks very fancy, the materials seem strong and the sound signature ... I really liked it.

It's already dead: one driver peaks (or saturate, not sure which is the good word) and since it has been more than a year (the warranty duration), the customer service just won't take it back. Even if I wanted to pay for such a service.

Terrible customer service.

They have no contact number, only respond on email which you can expect earliest response in a day, but sometimes 2/3.

When answering questions they don’t answer all questions, they answer briefly and offer no solutions to the problems you have.

E.g I have an old pair i wanted to trade in via immortal life for the codex wireless. The codex is available to buy on their website but can’t be traded via immortal life program.

I asked on email why this is. They said it is out of stock, when it clearly isn’t. I asked for any work around as it is definitely not out of stock. Another delayed response later they just repeat it is out of stock.

I asked for a contact number to speak to someone and they ignored this question twice.

I tried contacting V-Moda to inquire about headband replacements, whether covered by warranty or purchased, but after submitting an email via their contact page and making multiple calls over the course of a week, I have not been able to reach anyone, except voicemail boxes.

Looks like their customer service matches their ridiculous "Six-Star Service" slogan. Both are nonexistent.

Customer Service

I've had the M100 headphones, which I absolutely love, for 4 years now. They're hard to beat for the money. I recently noticed that the material on the headband are crumbling, so contacted VModa customer service to buy a replacement. Their response was "sorry, we don't have this, so just go buy an aftermarket sleeve for it." If you manufacture the headphones, I'm almost certain you do do have them, right? The biggest problem with all this is that it's a known, common issue. I wanted to upgrade to the newer M200 in the coming year, but I won't. I'll look elsewhere for a company with a better quality product and better customer support, even if I have to spend more.
