Good Experience

The service was good and I was kept informed. However the website did not indicate that the goods were going to be drop shipped from China. I believe this should be made clearer at the start so that the customer can be prepared for the extra week on delivery time compared to Australia.
That aside, the tracking was good and I am happy with the product.
I would use Valuebasket again.

did not received refund, not reply on emails and bad customer services

Hi, I bought the iphone 6s 10 days before the xmas and i expected the items will delivered in time because website shown in stock. Just few days before Christmas i still haven't received the item and i called them up for the update. but the their phone system was shut down. I called them after the Xmas to cancel the order and customer officer said i will received my money back in 7 days. Now it's 14 days passed i still see any money back from them. I called again today, they told me i need to wait for 7 more days. I asked her to give explanation, she just ignored me. Very bad service. I would not recommend this company at all.

Poor delivery and poor customer support - Would not recommend

Ordered Item on the 4th December based on the fact it was in stock and 2-4 days dispatch as per the order acknowledgement. Received an email on the 15th December stating there was a hiccup with the warehouse and now my dispatch would be no later than the 23rd of December. So potentially delivery in 2016.

Note despite having a ".com.au" and an Australian contact number you are not dealing with anyone in country. I rang the customer support number as I need to either expedite the delivery quicker or cancel it accordingly. Was a waste of time. Informed they could do nothing regarding expediting of the delivery and when I requested cancellation I was advised that was a different department and they could not help. I would need to email through their online system. I asked how long to get a response and advised "a matter of days". Poor form. I have emailed a number of times and currently waiting a simple response. Must be a back log of people in the same situation.

All I want from ValueBasket is confirmation of cancellation of my order so I can avoid buying elsewhere and having VB then ship the previous order but no response. However they appear to respond very promptly to any negative feedback they receive on reviews so maybe I will get a response to this.
(Updated - Yes in fact they responded to a negative review I made on another site prior to getting anything direct from the company. I have since cancelled the order and advised I will receive a credit in 24 to 48 hours. We shall see).

I buy a lot of items online and this is the first time I have felt compelled to give a negative review to anyone. They are a 4.6 out of 5 based on review sites which they link on their website. I should have checked other review sites where they are lucky to average 2 out of 5 stars.

Bad customer service

To return a product under warranty, the customer service takes multiple weeks asking the same questions and waiting for multiple "relevant departments" to answer their own questions. I have no answer since 96h now, wondering what they are waiting for to give the return address. My phone has a defect and keeps freezing after a couple of minutes of usage, I bought it few months ago and tried hardware reset, factory settings, and the problem remains even without newly application installed.

Fantastic Service

I bought a phone off Valuebasket
I was very impressed with their service and price of my item.
It arrived just 3 days of them posting it (Try getting it that fast from ebay "not happening") it was very well packed in protective wrap also.
10 out of 10 sorry 5 out of 5.
Will buy again and will tell all my friends to do the same.
Keep up the good work.

Customer service and value not in this basket

Bought a camera for $395. Was told after the 7-10 business days shipping that item will be delayed due 'internal warehouse delays', and will be 'at the latest another 8 days'. Next day was told stock unavailable, and will be happy to offer alternative with once off discount. Picked an alternative, then was told to pay the difference with no discount. Finally could only offer $20 credit 'after you recived' your order! What a joke for stuffing me around for over two weeks.

Very reliable. Send the product ontime.

Reasonably good after sales service when activating the guarantee for problems with my mobile.

Only would have preferred to have received instructions for reseting my Moto G quicker, still received the correct information and now is working fine again :)

Return with good outcome

Received wrong item, do they care?

Dealing with valuebasket has been very frustrating! I ordered a kindle fire 32GB and received a 16GB. mistakes can happen but when I phoned them I was told I have to email them and attach pictures and someone will get back to me within the same day (this was Thursday and I made it very clear that I need the item on Monday for a birthday present). No answer received so I rang costumer service again that evening. And again I was told that there is nothing she can do and that it wasn't possible to phone the responsible people. I sent another email, explaining my situation (mostly that I needed present for Monday) and I rang again in the morning. and again, I was promised that they will get back to me within the day, for sure. It's now Saturday and more then 48 hrs later and I suppose I'll better stop getting upset and accept the fact that I won't have my present for Monday. I future, I'll buy local, pay a bit more maybe but won't have to deal with bad costumer service. And I have just demanded a refund.

Unbeatable prices, very poor speed in shipping, non existent warranty claim

They are very professional to deal when ordering and their prices are extremely good. They let themselves down badly with the extremely long wait between ordering and receiving. Their responses to your complaints are from a textbook and everyone receives exactly the same lines.
Their warranty claims are non existent. I made a claim on 21/11/14 and was advised some time later that it had been "referred to the relevant team for an appropriate solution" As at 29/11/14 I have heard nothing. As my item didn't work on the second day, I am entitled to a replacement
It is a disgrace!

I don not recommend their service.

I purchased a iPhone dock from VB, only to find it was defective 2 months back. They were quick to take it back and claimed they had sent me a replacement.
4 months later, no refund and no replacement.

Their staff are absolutely rude, they simply hang up each time I call to follow my case and only provide generic text book answers. Till date I have not even had a callback from anyone to discuss my case dispite my multiple requests.

I have now filed a complaint with the ACCC and HK consumer council. I encourage others who are in a similar position to do the same!

IF I DONT GET REFUND DONT TRUST VALUEBASKET

I saw a camera i really wanted and the price was great, (that part was good) i purchased it and then 7 days later i get an email telliing me unfortunately they dont have this product. (why advertise it????) anyway then i got an email say i would get a refund with 7 days (that part was good) 14 days later i still dont have my refund, i get another email say i will get a refund within 7 days. i think whats going on, i email them demanding an immediate refund. If i get a refund i can write a better review otherwise so far no good. :( watch this post

Efficient, good communication and followed through with promises

I placed an order with Value Basket which was immediately confirmed. I then changed my mind to something else which they didn't sell. They replied to my email requesting cancellation and approved it with no questions asked. Within 48 hours I received an email from PayPal confirming my refund had been issued. I was very impressed by this. Many online companies are hard to deal with when there is an issue and even harder to get a refund out of in a timely manner. I was very impressed with their speed and efficiency.
