Fast and clear on what the estimation is based upon.

I've used this company a few times to get background on some interesting objects and paintings. What started out a few years ago as a well informed service, offering good detail and history in each valuation, has turned in to a pointless waste of money. My latest experience has told me nothing, a 1940/50s painting in the style of Gregoire Boonzaire, "A Summer in Arles", a fact that was not even noted. A man in the street would probably have given me a better insight and information, what is an expert....? I think they need to reevaluate.

Very timely appraisal. Much appreciated. Wish I had known upfront that back of painting was important. I asked about it day of appraisal hoping to send a pic of the back. Would have loved to finish it up with them seeing the back. Didn’t happen.

The valuation was simplistic and completely off base. The person doing the valuation based their assessment on a couple of markings on the item I wanted evaluated, as well as the overall look. The person had no expertise or background at all in the type of item I wanted evaluated and casually conferred upon it a fairly high value, when, in fact, the item (a nautical sextant) was a poorly made replica, which I learned by doing a little bit more research. Very disappointed and zero trust in this service.

Ik had misschien graag een iets uitgebreidere beschrijving over het kastje gehad. Een beetje meer geschiedenis over het item bijvoorbeeld. Maar overall ben ik tevreden hoor.

An accurate appraisal requires that the piece be correctly identified. In my case, any fool could see it's a "container." What was it used for? Which "immortal characters" are displayed? How was the date of manufacture determined? The key item missing is that appraisals provide information on how the estimated value on the client's object was derived, such as "based on the recent sale at auction of similar items in 20XX, we place its value at....", and then those auctions are cited. Therefore, as an appraisal it carries no validity. The appraiser's description was simply re-wording what I had submitted, with no translation of the Chinese characters on the piece. It appears that the firm had no idea of what my object is and simply took a shot in the dark.

LOVE this service and will continue to use it. Big benefit to me and more to come

Very happy with service I received. I needed my late Fathers WWII medals valued. I gave measurements and attached photographs. Within a few hours I was asked for my Fathers name. Within a couple of days I received a valuation, I needed this for probate and had no intention to sell. More importantly these precious medals did not leave my possession as a lot of other valuation companies wanted them posted to them. Will definitely use again.

Whilst I appreciate your swift response I am perplexed with the valuation as editions of 100 of my print have been valued at around £800 and are much smaller, mine is an edition of 24 and much bigger but you valued it at £350. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
