Excellent service in the VHI 360 Health…

Excellent service in the VHI 360 Health Centre in Carrickmines tonight, staff on reception were very helpful and engaging. Doctor Sam on duty was excellent and very efficient, was able to diagnose quickly and provide after care plan.

Excellent service now over a few visits…

Excellent service now over a few visits with my family ,including dental. Lovely staff. Nurses ,dioctors/dentist all so friendly ,caring ,informative to patient , my sons both in early 20s and really liked how they were treated and the speed they were seen. Top notch service .Lovely bright building . Delighted I have VHI . It’s great backup when it’s so difficult to get regular Gp and Dental appointments when you need them.

Slipped on ice on Friday and wss…

Slipped on ice on Friday and was brought to vhi health care yesterday evening. Was seen by nurse, doctor and had an x ray. Confirmed that I had fractured my patella. I was fitted with a brace and given an apt for carrickmines in 10 days. Everyone very kind and efficient and was out in 1.5 hours so very happy with the service.

Walk in service worst experience I ever…

Walk in service worst experience I ever had. Having a small kid who is not even 2 year old, We were told by staff that only one parent allowed inside with the kid, which I find as a mother not fair. My husband was there as he is native english speaker, I asked to come aswell. I explained im still breastfeeding the kid and waiting time can be hours. but that wasnt a good reason for letting me in so staff asked me to wait outside. Having said that I find the vhi walk in clinic treating their customers unfairly, not considering human factor and not making valid exceptions.

A waste of money

I pay c. €5K per year with these people for international health insurance. I have been in hospital for over 2 weeks now. I have received zero assistance. Yesterday first thing I called to get a call with a doctor for a second opinion. I was told I would relieve a call within 24 hours. I'm waiting.

VHI- do not pick!…

If you looking for health insurance this is the last company you should choose. It’s fine if you are paying but when you start claiming they will find the most ridiculous reason not to pay you! I’ve been with them over 15 years and in first bigger claim I was rejected because the letter VHI require does not include a doctor name. For clarity the letter was not required by my doctor! “To whom might be concerned “ was not good enough!

Horrible, I’m insured through the company but it’s such an awful process to communicate with this insurance company and/ or upload documentation/ receipts.

Waste of money

Vhi Dermatology. Put simply, a money generating branch of the VHI, €395 to be told to use a tube of cream within 10 mins, no follow up, no duty of care, Dr googled side effects of cream as I was having dizzy spells, said nothing adverse can be found !!
Went to Blackrock private clinic and seen a professional Dr, received all the care and medication to make a full recovery, avoid VHI dermatology waste of your time and hard earned money.

I spent 2 nights in Portlaoise …

I spent 2 nights in Portlaoise hospital , on leaving A&E for a ward I wa asked to sign a form to say I had private insurance, I was in pain had no glasses so scribbled a signature, the ward was horrendous noise all night , I had 6 broken ribs and a broken colar bone and basically left to fend for myself. I discharged myself after 2 nights. Now vhi paid 1600 euro for those 2 nights without asking me if I got good treatment. I asked vhi about the treatment and why they paid for very poor conditions. They didn't want to know. This is why vhi prices are going up they are paying out to Hse with no checkups. Its disgraceful how they squander our money

Ferry cancelled took out multi trip insurance you would think by its name I was covered for addition hotel stay. But no nothing covered absolutely pointless you would think this was the point of getting the cover .

I am surprised with bad reviews so for…

I am surprised with bad reviews so for the treatment I received, I owe them the good one.
Always pleasant customer service, quick appointments with their GP. Once I ended up in Bon Secours, had surgery, VHI covered everything other than excess obviously.
I do recommend them wholeheartedly as having insurance with them saved my life.

Awful service

Awful service. We upgraded our VHI policy. I got a increase in salary. Then 2 months later our son had sore throat issues and we brought him to doctor, he said it could be toncilitis. So you need to see a specialist. 7 months later we get to see a specialist and he says yes, they are enlarged. So he says he can operate in 7 months because he's actually away on holiday for the next 6 months.
So he gets back, surgery goes well he sends the form in and VHI say we are not paying and won't give us any reason. So we eventually find out the surgeon has put down the wrong date for the initial doc visit.
So he sends the form in again, now they don't believe the surgeon and want further info. Our sons medical history, to see if he ever had a sore throat before we upgraded our plan. He's 6, so yes it's possible but he wasn't diagnosed until about 2 months after we upgraded. VHI are dirt. Won't use them ever again.

This lady Susan, a call operator, was very rude to my wife several times so I took over the VHI duties and then rude to me as well. They are NOT easy to deal with.

VHI Travel Insurance is operated by Collinson Group. Avoid this company at all cost.My claim was for a 'Missed Departure'.
My Ryanair flight was delayed for nearly 12 hours.The departure was delayed, then the flight was diverted to another country for a crew reason.Finally arrived at midnight but missed the departure of my connecting flight, departing same day afternoon.
According to VHI Travel/ Collinson Group,they cover delay for more than 10 hours,diverted flight,missed departure,crew shortage.All that happen to my trip. VHI/Collinson Group refused to cover any of the above and denied any of the official insurance letters and confirmation of travel letters from Ryanair and flight data provided.They keep asking me for additional documentation from Ryanair that virtually and phisically can not be obtained even that all necessary info is already provided and is obvious.And this just to refuse any payment.My question is: What is the purpose of the insurance then? What is the purpose of insurance companies like VHI Travel/Collinson Group?
Shop elsewhere.There are better companies.

Professional staff

Every time I have visited the VHI clinic in Swords I have come home happy with the service. Since it’s a walk-in service I don’t expect to see a doctor straight away. Our longest wait has been an hour. The doctors and nurses have been very courteous and attentive. I’m very happy! Thank you.

The 500 Day-to-Day policy doesn't pay…

The 500 Day-to-Day policy doesn't pay you for your Day to Day medical expenses such as Consultant visits, MRI, CT scans. In June and July I paid out €1,180 for 3 GP visits, 2 visits to a Consultant a MRI and a CT scan. I got back €140.

The lady in VHI tells me it pays for your admittance to hospital as in-patient for an operation (i.e the exact thing which is not a Day to Day medical expense).

Don't go near vhi swiftcare

Don't go near vhi swiftcare. They missed a tibial fracture in my leg, let me leave with a soft bandage when I should have had a cast or brace...then they missed a broken bone in my sons ankle!

Do not waste your money on VHI…

Do not waste your money on VHI multi-trip travel insurance policy. Had a covid test couldn't travel and I had it validated by a doctor and had the claim rejected.

Charged Without Consent - Terrible Customer Service, Big Delay-Not Recommended

Very bad service. Long waiting times. The customer service is not helpful at all. When you call, they ask you to email; when you email, they won't respond; when you use the chat, they ask you to call.

I was part of a group scheme from my employer. After I resigned from the company, I thought the policy would be cancelled automatically, but they charged me 139 euros. I tried calling, emailing, and using the chat service, spending hours with no response.

Many options are not available on the website/app. I've used Laya before; they are more straightforward and have no hidden charges. I wouldn't recommend anyone using Vhi. The claims process for Vhi is cumbersome and has long waiting periods.

The best customer service

The best customer service I've ever seen in Ireland, they are so so nice, helpful, never had an issue with them, I don't know if I was just lucky to come across those nice agents but every time I called I was shocked as to how polite and kind they were.. spoke to Orla in reviews today and she was brilliant..
the app is also great and easy to use, can't fault them
