Tasked with a highly challenging defense under severe public and creditor scrutiny, successfully mitigating the ultimate sentence down to a lenient 8-month suspended prison sentence and 0 euro damages - Landmark Social Criminal Law Ruling (Court of Cassation, 2018): Obtained a groundbreaking victory and established a major corporate precedent before Belgium’s Supreme Court (Arr. dd. 06/11/2018). The court agreed with Augustyns' motion that a mere administrative failure to submit corporate documents to inspectorates does not inherently satisfy the standard for criminal social obstruction.
