I am honestly relieved that I no longer have to deal with Waldon Dental.
When I started my orthodontic treatment, I was told it would take approximately 8–12 months. Instead, after more than two years of treatment, I made the decision to end it early because I had completely lost confidence in the practice.
Throughout my treatment, I had constant issues with my braces, requiring numerous visits between scheduled appointments just to have them repaired. This was frustrating, time-consuming and inconvenient, especially when I was paying £100 for every visit.
Another major issue was the constant change of orthodontists. I was treated by several different orthodontists over the course of my treatment, and each seemed to have a different opinion. Whenever I asked how much longer I had left, I either received conflicting timelines or was told they couldn’t give me one. There was no consistency, and I never felt reassured that my treatment was being properly managed.
At one stage, an orthodontist made a comment that my treatment was being dragged out and that they were “bleeding me for money.” Hearing something like that from a member of the clinical team seriously damaged my trust in the practice.
When I decided to end my treatment, I was happy enough with how straight my teeth looked, but I was then quoted £220 per arch for retainers. After everything I had experienced, I no longer trusted the practice enough to purchase them there.
Although I’m pleased with the appearance of my teeth, I cannot say I had a positive experience overall. What should have been an 8–12 month treatment turned into more than two years of inconsistent care, repeated repairs, changing orthodontists, poor communication, and ultimately a loss of confidence that led me to end my treatment early.
This is simply my honest experience, and I hope the practice takes this feedback seriously so future patients receive the continuity of care and communication that I feel was missing from mine.
