We flew Wamos Air from Auckland to Bali in premium economy, an 8 hour flight. The staff were rude and uncaring. During the flight they were more interested in taking selfies of themselves than serving... Voir plus

Utterly terrible
Utterly terrible. Paid for air Lingus business class. Got a seat that literally fell apart with exposed wires. Terrible service. Old plane. Movie selection from the 90s.
Travelled Business Class from Perth to…
Travelled Business Class from Perth to Auckland September 2023. This is a budget airline and uncomfortable seats and food very average and I can’t understand why Air New Zealand has sub contracted this airline who also speck Spanish a lot on the airline over our native language which i personally like when I travelled on Air New Zealand. I feel bad as I was at least in Business , must of been much worse in Economy, also most of the functions and buttons on seat didn’t work correctly - worse Business Class experience I had in my life . The service was ok but not as good as Air NZ

After reading the reviews I was a little nervous as to what to expect, in reality it was one of the better flights I’ve had. Cabin staff were amazing and the meal was great. Only negative was the seats were a little on the hard side for a 6hr flight. Otherwise I would recommend!
Perth to Auckland flight with wamos horrible
Perth to Auckland flight with wamos was the most horrible experience ive ever had with an airline and I flew to the Uk with a broken tailbone. Somehow that was better, paying full price fares for a crap low budget airline if I could give it a 0 star rating I would! Staff were horrible, seats were like sitting on a plastic deck chair that was 30 years old and for an overnight flight that you would think they’d turn the lights off or down for atleast a few hours but no a measly 30 minutes. I will never fly with them ever again I’d rather a 15 hour stop over in Sydney just to avoid that airline. DO NOT FLY WAMOS
The worst flight of my life
The worst flight of my life. Airplane very old (more than twenty years) dirty and noisy. Non-existent entertainment (about ten films and no music).
I felt this flight was unsafe, very unsafe.
It isn’t possible for people to fly in these conditions.
Some airlines like this shouldn’t exist.
Don’t waste your money!!
Flew Perth-Auckland, I usually book Air NZ from Melbourne to Auckland and decided to fly direct this time. I wish I’d read the reviews beforehand as this experience was honestly worse than the cheapest Jet Star flight. I’d paid extra for seat selection - window seat, more room and closer to the front. It was a complete waste of money. My seat didn’t even have a window (which took away a bit of room on the side), there was no room to move at all and the man next to me was basically sat on top of me with how little space there was. The seats were small, very hard and uncomfortable. No one could recline their chairs either so everyone spent 7 or so hours trying to sleep upright and with no leg room. People who stood up to stretch their legs were asked to sit down even though the seat belt light was off and one of the flight attendants rolled her eyes every time someone asked a question. Air con was non existent which caused everyone to completely overheat and caused even more discomfort. The food wasn’t bad as expected for an AirNZ flight but that’s pretty much where the comparison ends. Usually on overnight flights you’re offered tea or coffee to wake up but we were only offered a cup of water and their method of handing out the cups was a little ridiculous and if you didn’t grab it fast enough you were scowled at by the flight attendant. In saying that though, most of the staff were absolutely lovely and it isn’t their fault that the plane seems totally outdated and that English isn’t their first language so we can’t hold that against them. Despite the discomfort and lack of quality normally expected of Air NZ, the pilot had done well and it was a safe enough flight. Although I would’ve booked elsewhere had I known what to expect. Also wanted to note that the 5 star reviews here are either paid for or bots because even as we exited the plane all anyone could talk about was how they will never be booking with Wamos again.
Watch out for your husband's
I was disgusted at how I was treated by the female flight attendants. Not acknowledged once and they continued to flirt with my husband who was also disgusted and embarrassed. Food was shoved in my face. The male attendants had been respectful and my husband also noted this. What's going on? careful of your husband's ladies haha and if it happens to you do not take note. I think it's a game they are playing.
Perth to Auckland
To echo what others have said. We paid Air NZ prices as we have flown with them before and expect a certain level of comfort. WAMOS are providing a budget aircraft with Ryan Air style seating suitable for short hall flights. There is chewing gum stuck to the arm rest between the seats in front of us. If Air NZ try and put you on one of these flights, don't do it. Go with another carrier.
AirNZ WAMOS Air flight from Perth to…
AirNZ WAMOS Air flight from Perth to Auckland was the worst flight experience ever .
Very uncomfortable seats inflight entertainment could not be heard with the noisy old plane. communications with the air hostesses was nearly impossible with the language barrier and they're rude .The aircon was set too high making it a very uncomfortable flight. I have paid for quality and received the lowest class airline. If I ever fly Air NZ i will make ture to check that its not an alliance flight. Very very disappointing.
Full fares on budget Wamos
AirNZ are charging full fares for a budget (Wamos) charter airline experience. The seats do have more room than normal but that is the only good thing I would say. On a Perth to Auckland service, so overnight, not one single person could work out how to recline, so full flight slept upright all in the hardest seats Ive ever sat in. Catering is still AirNZ, so cant complain about that but I ordered GF and it was horrendous. Cabin crew, extremely rude, I was shouted at from many rows away “to get out of the way” while trying to put bags in over head compartment. AirNZ’s most profitable route, and this is what you do? Poor form!
Perth via Auck inc return.
Perth via Auck inc return.
Horrible flight. Seats are sooo uncomfortable, flight attendants are very rude and movies+ are old. Didnt eat the food. My philosophy is if customer service is sh#t then everything that comes with it will be..hence why I didnt eat on the plane. Worst experience ever. Can't wait for air nz to return.
Big ups to the pilot/s hence why the extra star.
Flight attendants have a stupid, stupid way of pouring water into cups for economy.
Rude! Rude!Rude!
DO NOT FLY ON WAMOS PLANES
When I write reviews, I don’t write them from an emotional perspective. I don’t think I’ve ever given a one star review before, but this one was necessary. my first international flight was with WAMOS, a 7hr from JFK to Spain. I only realized how horrible WAMOS was after my ride back on an Iberian plane. On the WAMOS plane, the seats are extremely cramped and extremely uncomfortable, like those white plastic fold up chairs. U have to pay for water. A child cried (at the top of his lungs) for 3 hours, with the staff very apathetic to the situation (the hid next to the bathrooms). My friends charger didn’t work. However, they did have a working tv with movies, but I think you had to pay for those. The food was extremely expensive and very small portioned. My good flight on the way back (an Iberia plane) was basically the same price, with cushioned seating in Economy, free pillows and blankets. Much more accommodating. Please, if you can, avoid taking a WAMOS plane (as Iberia the company uses WAMOS planes). It is not worth it.
Just flew AKL-PER-AKL
Just flew AKL-PER-AKL. Staff was impeccable, polite, kind, and attentive. Food was average, but it was airline. I cannot say enough about how great the experience was. I have flown A-LOT and this was one of the best ever! After reading the bad reviews I was shocked and felt they must’ve been flying a different airline!
Air NZ price, not Air NZ quality
Air New Zealand price, but not Air NZ quality.
I can forgive the cabin crew, not operating in their first language.
The entertainment system is definitely below average for a modern longer flight.
However, comfort was the big issue. Uncomfortable seats for a 6 - 7 hour flight and the air con was poor, resulting in an uncomfortably warm cabin.
I would not recommend this route, if the flights are operated by Wamos.
Try and avoid flying Air Wamos if you…
Try and avoid flying Air Wamos if you can. It’s a rip off as it is when flying Air NZ direct to Perth from Auckland but to then be provided with a budget airline/budget experience when you pay a premium is outrageous. Shame on Air NZ for not doing better by their frequent flyers between Auckland and Perth, it’s a long journey and it’s not cheap. The AW plane was old, the seats uncomfortable and the entertainment very average. My screen didn’t even work and they did nothing for compensation and of course Air NZ made it so difficult to get in touch with customer service to complain that I gave up in the end. A very long/boring and uncomfortable flight. Food was also disappointing. Again everything about this experience was not the value I paid for when I booked my flights with “Air NZ”. If only another airline would fly direct to lower prices and force Air NZ to stop taking advantage of being the monopoly.
Very nice cabin crew.
The service from the cabin crew is what makes this flight the best. Modern airplane which is comfortable
Do not use
After booking with Air NZ very disappointed using Wamos. Very cramped seating, forgettable food. Accents so strong we could not understand what was said. Qantas here I come
Air New Zealand used Wamos Airlines on…
Air New Zealand used Wamos Airlines on their New Zealand to Perth direct flight. I had read rather disturbing reviews about Wamos and was somewhat concerned about flying with them, after all i did book and pay to fly with Air New Zealand.
I had a nothing to worry about - the flights to Perth and back to NZ were great. The service on both flights were fabulous, the staff were friendly and attentive. I had enough room for a very comfortable 6.5 hour flight - i was very impressed, thanks Wamos
Never again
Where to begin? Air New Zealand you’ve again let down your Perth-Auckland passengers by chartering this third rate, budget airline. I could understand if it was used on the shorter routes to Melbourne or Sydney or Brisbane but to force passengers on a 6 hour overnight flight to endure rock hard seats with no headrests indicates you do not value your clients. No wifi, a meagre selection of ancient movies and tv shows, revolting food and incomprehensible inflight announcements. I’ve been flying this route with Air New Zealand for 30+ years and having the Dreamliner really improved the flight but this Wamos charter is an all round horrible experience and one I won’t be repeating. I’d rather have the small inconvenience of doing Perth-Melbourne-Auckland hop than endure Wamos again. Goodbye Air New Zealand. It was great while it lasted.
Terrible experience the worst flight in…
Terrible experience the worst flight in my life with the worst turbulence I have ever encountered.. the plane was too small for such a long flight. Zero comfort, no video no music no game..
