Home installation was excellent

Home installation was excellent and installer was very accommodating. Broadband speed as advertised at close to 1Gbs.
Connection to the main network though was frustrating as route was changed several times throughout the year finally settling on the obvious route. Even then the final cabling to our group of houses took longer than promised.

Cant fault the engineer

Cant fault the engineer, took his shoes off and left them on matt every time was in and out of house so there was no dirt on carpets, hoovered up after himself after drilling and took all rubbish and everything away with him, nice guy very approachable and happy to answer any questions. 10/10 service

Our experience with this company was shockingly bad

Setting aside the 18 month delay and endless excuses in getting the promised broadband installed, our experience with this company was shockingly bad. As well as broadband, we decided to transfer our landline to WeFibre. Final installation appointment was booked, but the day before this was due to happen, thanks to the premature action of WeFibre, and without our knowledge or permission, BT disconnected both our broadband and landline. We rang WeFibre. The promised call back never happened. My husband and I both work from home. You can imagine the scenario. No-one at WeFibre cared or had any sense of urgency at all. When the engineer arrived on Friday morning he said due to "technical issues" we wouldn't be getting connected after all and it would be "sometime next week". This set the pattern for 8 days with no broadband or landline, endless frustrating calls to the world's most dreadful call centre, repeated failures to either call us back or meet promised deadlines. Excuses for lack of progress changed daily. It became clear to us that a) the call centre appear to be nothing more than glorified message takers, without even rudimentary technical knowledge and b) have little or no control over the people on the ground (Telcom); we knew more about what was happening (or more accurately not happening) in our street as we used to go and look-mostly it was tumbleweed, despite being assured workers were 'on site'. When, after 8 days of unbelievable stress and hassle trying to do our jobs with mobile phone hotspots, we got connected, we still had no landline. The crowning glory was ringing the call centre on the weekend we discovered this to be told someone "would contact us in office hours" which means Mon-Fri 9-5. Perish the thought anyone has the temerity to have a technical issue "out of office hours" or that a person may be reliant on a landline to speak to family or medical services at a weekend. I could rant on for hours. I have no confidence in this company. WeFibre have been quick to pursue ME to 'confirm my connection' so they can collect their 4.5k of public money ('the voucher') for this abysmal treatment. Suffice to say we will be putting in a detailed complaint to WeFibre, and also to Ofcom. I have also reported this to the Govt Dept in charge of this scheme.

My last dealing with support at Wefibre…

My last dealing with support at Wefibre was absolutely 5 star and Emma was spot on and very pleasant.
The reason I have given only 2 stars is because of my dealings with Wefibre since placing my order 20/06/2023 was appalling in the extreme. Hours spent trying to get connected by phone and promises to return call which never happens. I think without exemption my emails have not been acknowledged or replied too except for help from EMMA

Fast and efficient engineer.

The Engineer, Josh, was really helpful and efficient. He had everything neatly set-up in a very short time and made sure that we knew what to expect before he started. We couldn't have asked for better service.

After the installation all of our…

After the installation all of our devices connected to the Internet except for my HP laptop. The team very patiently worked through remotely reconfiguring the router until it talked to the laptop. It took a couple of days and several phone calls but communication was good, prompt and extremely helpful and polite. Thank you to Ashleigh and the network team.

From start to finish the whole process…

From start to finish the whole process was simple and must say that Josh the engineer who installed the fibre was top class and nothing was to much as I needed to relocate my router to a different room

Review for Service Engineer

Although not yet fully connected to the internet, the service engineer JJ, was very professional and helpful when fitting the connections in my house. He answered all my questions politely and is a credit to the company.

Waiting a year for our FTP broadband. We've still not got it

We were expecting installation for the WeFibre FTP service a year ago. We get no updates from WeFibre except when we contact them and ask, and even then all we are told is we are working on it, we don't know when it will be installed, it should be soon. We recently had to renew our existing broadband for another year because WeFibre cannot get their act together.

Hello Alastair, sorry to see you have left us a negative review. We have not extended our build in Bellingham over the bridge yet due to the extensive works involved and planning/permissions that need to take place first. I do understand your frustration in having to wait, but building a brand new network in a rural location can take some time to get right. We will be proceeding in the coming months and more news will be available once the work begins. I can also confirm that you will still benefit from our SwitchNow offer, giving you free service whilst you are in contract with your current provider, up to 9 months, so hopefully you are not left too disheartened. WeFibre Broadband Installation

I had my WeFibre broadband connected by JJ yesterday. He was very friendly and professional and did a meticulous job. He explained what he was going to do, carried out the work, showed me the results and answered all my questions very satisfactorily. Very happy with the result.

Fibre Communications. We Fibre,

Communication was really good,kept informed of progress of the link-up in the area,till the final connection.It took a long while to happen,or maybe I was expecting too much too soon . But a very good service . Although still waiting for my phone line to be connected,my broadband is fine. Thank you .

Does what it says it does?

I lost my voucher code for the free install. I expected to be told it wasn't their problem and I would have to pay. But after a brief online chat and a search in to my email history, I was pleasantly surprised to hear I wouldn't have to pay. A lot of companies wouldn't have done this. Nice to deal with someone who honours their word.

Installation

Installation was booked for a 12-2 timeslot. Josh phoned a good hour before that saying he was in the area. Pretty quick and easy installation (I presume), no mess made or left behind and generally a great experience as a consumer. Happy with the service and top marks for Josh the engineer 👍
