Can't clean barth salt crystals …
Great products we can't remove the salt crystals from our new barth can take 2 hours to clean and still not all removed what do you recommend alan c stton thankyou

Westlab Bath Cleaning Tips and Advice
Disclaimer: Before cleaning your bathtub with any of the below suggestions, we would always advise checking to see if it is compatible with your specific bathtub and also testing on a small, inconspicuous area before use.
We would always advise to you clean your bathtub as soon as possible after having a bath to keep your surfaces clean and shiny.
General Bathtubs
The below product by Cif is very effective for removing essential oils and salt residue, and for general use on most types of bathtub.
It does not contain bleach and claims to be natural, non-abrasive, safe and gentle on all bathroom surfaces when used with a soft microfibre cloth.

Other alternatives are:
Acrylic / plastic tubs:
You can fill the bathtub with warm water and 2 cups of white vinegar, and leave to soak for around an hour.
Or cut a lemon in half and coat with bicarbonate of soda to use directly on specific areas in small circular motions before rinsing clean.
Enamel coated baths:
These need non-acid based cleaners, so ingredients such as lemon and vinegar are not recommended here.
The best option for this is to use shampoo - yes, hair shampoo. Just make sure its clear and not coloured.
You can either apply directly, leave for 10 mins and then rub gently with a damp cloth.
Or fill the bathtub with warm water and a few squirts of shampoo and leave to soak for a few hours before emptying, rubbing gently with a soft cloth and then rinsing.
Stone / Porcelain / ceramic tubs:
These are the most delicate surfaces, and do not seem to be suitable for any of the above suggestions.
The below product seems to be the most approved, but we would advise following manufacturer guidelines for your specific bath and checking before use.

Great products and service
I've been buying Westlab products for about 5 years now;- the dead sea range in particular. I started buying this shower gel when I hd uriticaria (itchy skin) which required me to avoid perfumes products. The product is great value for money and has helped my skin. It's all I use now.
During Covid I also started buying the dead sea mud and salts to use in my at-home spa ritual, on my legs and feet.
Unfortunately Morrisons stopped stocking the shower gel so I had to start buying direct online but with bulk savings and free delivery this isn't too bad. It would just be easier to buy in-person.
I had a small issue with my recent order which was handled promptly, professionally and satisfactorily by Gina.
Thanks so much. You've kept a loyal customer and I'd recommend you to others

This was the first time i had used westlab for their Epson salts as seemed more cost effective.
Parcel arrived with split open bag.
Contacted customer support and got an immediate response and immediate replacement of damaged product. (A promised parcel packaging was going to be looked at this year).
Love product and impressed by customer service.

Closure insecure .
One of the three bottles must have had a loose sellotape closure so that some liquid escaped during the posting which luckily didn't mark the other two bottles. I do think that the type of sellotape closures make the bottles look not very pleasing .

Excellent customer care and service
Westlab Mindful Salts are a good soak but they did leave a residue on my plastic bath that was super difficult to remove until Westlab contacted me with excellent customer service and care that resulted in problem being 100% resolved.

Great products, delivery not great
I love Westlab products and can only find the shower gel online now Boots no longer sells it/out of stock. I ordered a good supply of shower gel from the website, price was good. Delivery was unfortunately via Royal Mail. Every time i have ordered from somewhere & Royal Mail is used there are delays with delivery. When my parcel did arrive the shower gels were badly packaged and 2 of them had leaked over the rest of my order. Hopefully this was a one off.

Terrific product
