Terrible company terrible service

Terrible company, terrible service. I booked a very special trip - my first with just my son. The online check in did not work. We showed up at the airport and were given a choice of not flying or paying an additional £45 per person because we did not check in online. I showed screenshots of their website not allowing us to check in, but was no use. There were lots of other people in the same situation. After the trip I emailed the company. Heard nothing. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt. Not worth booking with these guys. Travel with a decent airline.

Feels like a scam

I booked return tickets London to Milan, whilst the ticket was cheap, with one check in bag it came to about £160 compared to EasyJet at £180. Having booked my flights I then booked and paid for my hotel. The next day I received an email from Whizzair saying there had been a technical glitch with their seat pricing and have cancelled the tickets. SHOCKINGLY rather than refunding my money they said they would place it as Whizzair credits. Their tickets were then £220 vs Easyjet £180.

Complete scam, to contact their call centre to request a refund they force you to use their premium phone line which cost me about £10!!! They say it will take two weeks for them to return my money which I need to buy the new tickets with Easyjet.

All in all a disgrace! They took my money, cancelled the tickets when they realised they could sell the seats for more, charged me £10 to ask for my money back and then are keeping my money it for 2 weeks.

I'd avoid this company if you can.

Refund process does not work - a scam airline

I have now submitted 3 claims for a refund of a flight I booked and and then cancelled when Whizzair made a dramatic change to the flight time. In these circs the refund should of course be automatic. But not with this outfit, the process is contrived and hard to find. Nonetheless I’ve navigated it 3 times now over 2 months. Nothing refunded and when I contacted the cowboys they said I hadn’t completed the process. Even though I sent them a screenshot of it showing I had they insisted it was somehow my fault. Another one for the small claims court…..and first and last flights booked with Whizzair.

Staff at Milan Malpensa airport at…

Staff at Milan Malpensa airport at check in were so rude it was unbelievable. However I would like to say a big thank you to the Whizz Air staff at Jeddah airport they were amazing polite and efficient well done.Due to the staff in Milan I have only given two stars.Maybe staff in Milan should learn from the staff at Jeddah. I enjoyed the flight and cabin staff were polite and amazing too. Just some staff at Milan let the company down.

Shockingly bad

Still at the airport and already this is the worst airline i have ever flown with. Rude, unkempt, dirty! A genuinely unpleasant experience. Never again.

Really good airline

I've been using Whiz Air regularly for years and whilst there are occasional hiccups I've found them to continuously provide an excellent service. Whiz Air staff are polite and helpful, mu luggage has always travelled with me on the plan (unlike when I travel with BA who have lost my luggage on both of the last flights I've had with them), planes are clean and comfortable, prices are competative and website is easy to use. I recommend Whiz Air to everyone.

Wizzair is company with low standard's

Wizzair is company with low standard's. The service is appalling but you get from A to B. I truly hope they treat their staff better than the company treats them and they treat their customers. Service on board is closer to harassment and assault than anything I ever witness. But it will get from A to B: slowly, delayed and dreadfully.

They signed me up for extra costs I didn't want!

I signed in to Whizzair to try and find a cheap flight. Before I knew it, I was swamped with tick boxes for what I thought were promotions.... and then when I went to check out to book my seat, they had added money on for some club I didn't even know what it was! I don't want this. I don't want gimmics. I just want a transparent website where I know what I am buying and signing up for, and I quickly got the impression Whizzair is not for me. So without giving my credit card details, I left their website nd I will never be back. I detest the sort of thing I saw. As always I go back to BA, because although not perfect or necessarily the cheapest, I at least do not feel there are tricks to fleece me. Get it together whizzair. You come across as tricksters to me.

Shocking and disappointing

We recently had a disappointing experience with with Whizz Air that I feel compelled to share. Our original seven nights were suddenly changed to 4 nights causing a significant disruption to our travel plans and to make matters worse when we reached out for the refund the suitcases that we paid extra for was met with the refusal as they are classed as an extra and therefore non-refundable. Which we fully understand,if we had cancelled.This has left us feeling frustrated and unsatisfied with the customer service provided. I believe it’s essential for airlines to prioritise the passengers needs and ensure changes are communicated transparently. Unfortunately our experience with them ,fell short of these and expectations I hope in the future that they work to improve their customer service and addressing such issues more effectively I would add we booked the flights in May. They change them in July and we weren’t due to fly till January 2024. This is totally unacceptable, if we had wanted a four day break, we would of booked one.

Booked a holiday with lastminute.com arrived at 1am after advising hotel the week before the flight times, also part of the package from lastminute.com, to find ourselves locked out and unable to get into the hotel We found another hotel but our

flight with whizair was delayed multiple times and then cancelled. The following day the same thing happened and have for the last 4 hours tried contacting both whizair and lastminute.com but were unable to speak anyone

Poor refund policy

I got an email on the morning of my afternoon flight saying it had been delayed by 1.5 hours to a time that didn’t work for me. I requested a refund and they said it wasn’t within their policy, even though it was the airlines’ issue that the flight was delayed. Not going to use Whizz air or trip.com again

Se potessi darei anche zero. Hanno cambiato la data del volo di continuo e alla fine lo hanno cancellato, mi hanno fatto pagare 48 € di check-in e non avevano nuovi voli disponibili. Ho dovuto spendere più di 160€ per rimediare un nuovo biglietto. Vergognosi. Davvero vergognosi. Sconsigliatissima.

Flew from FAo to LGW on 12/4/23 upon scanning boarding pass I had a seat change- nit much bother until i found out that my husband also had a seat change of 6 rows behind me.
I explained how is this possible when i have special assistance on my booking due to autism and pre booked a window seat and the next seat for my husband. Whizz air did not give a damn- just kept saying nothing they could do-
Funny as when we boarded the flight the couple next to me did not have special assistance and although they had their seats moved they never got split up.
There was a lone traveller on the flight that had a window seat and a while row of seats to herself so why could they not have put her somewhere else!
Cabin crew managed to sit us next to this woman but i did not get the pre booked seats i asked for- needed a window seat as i don't travel too well and this can help with sickness and nervousness if i can look out the window.
So as we landed in a storm i was immediately sick where this could have been prevented if i had the seats i booked!
Complained to whizzair and they completely ignored the complaint and just shut it down- tells you what sort of airline these people are- they do not take any notice if special assistance requirements and discriminate against you.
This was the first and last time i will ever fly with them.

Racial Profiling

Racial Profiling - It's very interesting that people of a particular race and colour - Black -seem to be pulled aside for 'additional checks'.
Have travelled twice via Cyprus and have been the only person asked to come to the side and be swabbed and embarrassed in front of others.

Looking forward to Bucharest visit…

Looking forward to Bucharest visit prior to Covid, I booked a flight through Opodo with Whizz Air. Whizz changed the flight times on so many occasions, and the final time offered would mean that I would have lost 2 days of my 5 day holiday. I opted for the offered refund. To date, still no refund, and now almost at an anniversary of 2 years. The frustrating thing is both companies are as incompetent and rude as each other. Whizz refuse to make payment even though they have asked for my bank details on 3 occasions. They then inform me that Opodo have to pay me, and request the money from Whizz. Opodo state that they are still waiting for Whizz to acknowledge. I really wanted to put my business with a smaller airline, but, please think about who you spend your hard earned money with. I have not had my holiday, I have lost my deposit with the tour operator in Bucharest due to the fact it is almost 2 years ago since I booked their tour, and my money is still sitting in an account, earning interest for these charlatans. Please use a reputable company
