How I wish i read these experiences before I booked with them via Kiwi.com.
My flight to Jordan was cancelled two hours before departure. No explanation. no representative at airport to explain, some people had already had their bags checked in. I did hear for other customers who had booked direct that they would get their tickets refunded and some compensation. but because i booked via Kiwi.com i only managed to get the cancelled flight partially refunded (excluding baggage and seat choosing costs). the return flight I got 15%of costs because kiwi.com booked it under a different reference. Don't book whizz air for anything important. I had a tour booked for jordan which i lost out on, some people were going home to visit relatives for Christmas
Utter contempt and zero respect for passengers
Your treatment and conduct concerning cancelled flights out of Cardiff airport is utterly abhorrent. Whizzair made a commercial decision to no longer service Cardiff Airport - so refund passengers in cash. This is the fair, honest and right thing to do.
Shocking service by the company
Shocking service by the company. They emailed to say the flight was delayed by 1hr. We wait and head off to the airport 1hr. Just to arrive there and find out it was completely cancelled. But no email or information to say why it was cancelled.
Phoned the next day to find out what’s going on and was told all flights to my destination was cancelled until the new year and no flights was going there from any other airport.
Full refund but spoiled our Christmas as was the 1st time my daughter was going to see her gran.
Only to see online that my flight left two days later and flights have not been cancelled to the destination. No email, call nothing to let us know service was back to normal.
Shocking to be lied to in that was and spoil our Christmas with the family.
Opodo say whizz owe me my refund for…
Opodo say whizz owe me my refund for cancelled flight. Whizz say its Opodo. I cant get anyone on the the phone using the booking reference. They just play off each other. IATA print the rules for refunds but Whizz and Opodo dont seem to be able to work it out. Whizz just fob me off. It was really hard to access the correct info when they cancelled the flight.

Very disappointed regular customer here. My flight was cancelled a few months ago and I am still waiting for a compensation for a hotel and travel expenses even though they have e-mailed me a few times to confirm that 'my compensation has been approved and money sent to my account'. Yeh, right, I will believe it when I see the money. They try everything possible to avoid paying even though they have agreed to it. Will avoid travelling with them in the future unless they keep their promise and pay up as stated in all their emails received from them. Terrible customer service.

With all the reported problems not just on this site but other sites too, I can't believe anything they say.
This airline abandoned my son and his fiancee in Spain for their return flight.
Told then to book with other carriers to get home and they would refund and they had to pay out for taxis and hotel for an extra night.
My son's fiancée did not have enough extra medication with her and was lucky not to need hospital.
They managed to get expensive flights back with another carrier as advised and now Whizz Air are denying the advice they gave to the whole flight in Malaga.
Absolutely DO NOT USE!

Completed compensation form in June they received and yet not answered emails, letters, and phone calls are premium rate and do not answer.

How they where employed to work under such conditions is amazing, I have Severe Panic attacks myself and its not once turned a Plane around Midflight. - Wont Be using Wizzair again... Not been compensated. didnt want to refund us for the Holiday they had destroyed or the flights... Complete Joke. Luckly my husband is a Solicitor and he knows the LAW and will be taking steps to ensure we get 1.Compensated and 2. refunded
Refund rejected after offering to change a flight such that I would have had to fly in and out the same day
Following a Whizzair flight booking for a 3-day trip, I received a number of emails asking me to accept schedule changes. Given the pandemic and all, I accepted all of those (although they were not all convenient and would have extended my stay to a full week) until they had the audacity to change the schedule such that I would have had to fly back on the same day I arrived - so of course I rejected this last change. Asking for a refund as a consequence, I was told I was told I was not going to get one as I had originally accepted "the" change. That was blatantly untrue as I had accepted different changes but never this last one (which they should never have offered). When trying to follow up, there was always this eSky.eu company in the middle, and they told me Whizzair had rejected the refund. No discussion, no direct contact with Whizzair allowed. When trying to complain directly with Whizzair, the respective weblink would actually not work. A written complaint remained unanswered.
Wow, that is a way to treat your customers!
What an absolute shambles of a company…
What an absolute shambles of a company first flight I had cancelled two years ago never received the refund. Turn up today for another flight delayed two hours. Then gate “opens” get here delayed further and change of gate what a joke of a company stay away no explanation and gate that’s open what an absolute joke
You'll be paying for someone else to fly, not you
Booked a flight via gotogate (dont touch them with a bargepole) using whizz air for my daughter to go on holiday to celebrate A levels. Flight was changed without notice, operators website didnt update. Have to log in to whizz air to change booking, except theyve set up a totally random email address which we have no access to to be able to log in. No response to any emails. Seems they just take the money and fly someone else away. Wont be using them again. Steer clear.

Incredible company ! Incompent people ! Why do the government let them function .?????? Why they are existing on the market ???? Low cost? Low cost on what ??? Booking a holiday that they have cancellated the flight 2 times in a day without giving any other option back??? They just don't care if people have spent money for it ...or payed for a hotel or this or that. Useless to argue with them. They are allowed to cheat and do whatever they want as it seems there it's no any authority to check them.
How it's that possible ? Some people work so hard to afford a holiday and then they only play with you, like you are so small and insignificant that they don't even care about it. Stupid mentality that they are promoting. Someone should stop them !!!!

The moral to all these sad stories is....pay by CREDIT CARD and claim it back...never, ever pay by debit card. I've had a few experiences and always got my money back via section 75. Make sure you have a good case.
I wish I’d never booked with Whizz air
I wish I’d never booked with Whizz air. Getting through to anyone at customer service takes a ridiculous amount of time. I received a notification to say I had underpaid by 0.01 cent when doing online check in and couldn’t go any further. Trying to get through to anyone took such a long time and cost a small fortune. Once this was fixed, we received an email to say our flight home had been rescheduled to a 5am flight from a decent 7pm flight. Again I had to call to change this. Delayed on the way out to holiday and delayed terribly on the way back. 6 months pregnant and couldn’t find any representatives to ask for some assistance during the 4 hour wait at the airport that had metal chairs to use. Never, ever again use wizzair.
If you require special assistance AVOID
I have not travelled with this company yet and I already know I won't be using them again their special assistance is a complete and utter joke. I have been seated at the back of the plane and apparently they load the ambulift from the rear at Luton fantastic but Dalaman airport uses airbridges that only load from the front but apparently that's not their problem pig ignorant is the word I'm going to use out of politeness.

Flight cancelled minutes before departure! Abominable service, to cancel less than 1 hour before departure when you are sitting in the departure lounge relaxing with a nice glass of wine & looking forward to your family holiday is totally unacceptable. Communication was appalling. Nobody on hand to help. Had to rebook flight with alternative airline for following day at quadruple the price. Compensation & alternative options are extremely poor. My family & I are seriously disappointed & will never use Whizz airlines again. Think twice before booking with Whizzair!

When we try to get a refund page just says there has been a schedule change and doesn’t allow us to progress refund.
How they think a 2 days flight change can just be absorbed by travellers is beyond me. Even allowing for flight slots only being confirmed by airports 3 months in advance such a drastic move 5 weeks out is farcical
