Very Professional Company
I had a very good first experience with them. Their staff are very professional and courteous.
I would definitely do business with them again.
The only very slight niggle was on the odd occasion for some reason they don't answer their phone and after a while the phone cuts off, this should be improved.

Poor service
As a buyer I noted that this auction house offered a shipping service and on that basis I bid for and won one of the lots. However, when I asked them to quote for shipping they announced they no longer offered that service, despite it still being mentioned on their website. I wrote pointing that out and did not even receive the courtesy of a reply! Poor form.

Thank you for leaving a review via Trustpilot. We have recently suspended our in-house shipping to the EU due to the increased amount of paperwork required, especially when dealing with bladed articles.
After we received your emails, we replied with this information and provided a list of couriers who would be able to deliver the lot for you. In one of the emails you mentioned that on the-saleroom.com our profile states that we ship to the EU. After receiving your email we checked this and have now amended our terms on the-saleroom.com to reflect our current policy.
In future, if you have any questions about shipping we would recommend that you contact us prior to bidding. We will then be able to advise you on shipping and give you a basic quote for in-house shipping if it is possible for the item in question. We do this for multiple lots in every auction and avoids any issues post sale.

My first experience as a seller through a “auction house”excellent from start to finish, initial contact with the watch and jewellery specialist, Liz Bailey whom guided me through the whole process, the valuation was presented with a running commentary of thought processes and reasoning, therefore giving me confidence that the valuation range was realistic enough for my own expectations, whilst in a region to promote maximum interest in the item.
Liz actually hosted the auction on the day of sale herself, knowledge and professionalism with all lots included in
that days sale was both impressive and interest generating amongst the bidders.
Personally I was more than satisfied the sale of my entered sale item in fact achieving towards the high end of the valuation range, finally the settlement process was more speedy thank I expected!
