Just want to say

Just want to say, thank so much, I absolutely love my new worktop, special thanks to Michelle who I was in contact with throughout, to confirm I definitely read in the purchasing details that there would only be one delivery driver so it would need someone to be there to help, which was not a problem as we knew in advance of ordering this would be the case, delivery was exactly on the day I had requested , it’s looks amazing , thank you so much, great experience, love it 😊

I had another fantastic experience with Worktop Hive—this was my second time using them, and they didn’t disappoint. From start to finish, they were incredibly quick and efficient, with delivery arriving the very next day. Even with a tight deadline, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The team was also genuinely polite, friendly, and easy to work with throughout the whole process. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality service and reliability!

Highly recommend Worktop Hive

I honestly didn’t have a clue what I was doing when I first started looking for a worktop, but I came across Worktop Hive and I’m so glad I decided to give them a chance.
The sales team were fantastic and really took the time to guide me, helping me find exactly the worktop I was looking for. The samples arrived quickly, and once I’d made my decision, they checked stock for me straight away and did advise something was out of stock with stock due in the following week. Unfortunately, one of the items didn’t arrive in before my delivery, I was notified as soon as they knew so I chose to delay it—but they kept me fully updated throughout, which I really appreciated.
Delivery was a one-person kerbside service, which I was a bit worried about as I’m on my own, but I was given a clear ETA the night before so I could arrange for a neighbour to help. The driver was brilliant—he actually went beyond the kerbside to assist, which made a huge difference and took the stress away.
Overall, a really positive experience and I’d highly recommend them.

Cut to size laminate worktops

The cut to size laminate worktops were brought straight into my living room by the 2 delivery guys who were very helpful and polite. Another bonus was the samples we received from Worktop Hive were much larger (4 x the size) of other worktop company samples so we got a much better idea of the colour.

Excellent service Worktop Hive!

I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding our recent order for a kitchen worktop and matching splashback.

The worktop was delivered first; however, the delivery experience was extremely disappointing. The driver arrived at my property and asked if I could assist with unloading the worktop. This should not be expected of the customer. Fortunately, I had builders on site who were able to help, but this is not acceptable as part of a professional delivery service.

We have now been informed that the splashback can no longer be supplied and that the order cannot be fulfilled. This is extremely frustrating as the worktop was purchased specifically to match the splashback.

I requested that the order be returned; however, your customer service team advised that the worktop must be returned in its original condition. This places us in a very difficult position. The worktop has already been delivered and positioned in preparation for installation. If the matching splashback cannot be supplied, the worktop itself becomes unsuitable for our project. This situation is not of our making.

In addition, when my wife contacted your customer service team to seek clarification, the call was abruptly ended. We found this response both unprofessional and discourteous.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied as part of a single order should be fit for purpose and as described. As the order cannot now be completed, we believe it is reasonable to request a full refund.

Thank you for your review.

Firstly, I should clarify that you personally have not placed an order with us, although I am aware of the order you are referring to.

Our website clearly states on the delivery information page that certain worktops are delivered via a one-person kerbside delivery service. This information is also reiterated in the delivery confirmation email, which advises that customers should ensure at least two people are available to assist with unloading. We do offer products with a two-person delivery option for customers who require this service.

Regarding the splashback, this was placed on hold following a fraudulent chargeback claiming the order had not been received in full. Prior to this, we had already advised that stock was expected the following week. When this delivery date was communicated, the response received from yourself and the person who placed the order was unfortunately quite abrupt, and a split delivery was then requested — with the splashback to follow the week after.

At that time, an unforeseen manufacturing issue had affected the splashback stock. This was not something we were aware of when the original order was placed. Had the initially advised delivery date been accepted, we would have identified the manufacturing issue sooner and could have either arranged an alternative product or delayed the order so it could be delivered together once the issue was resolved.

It is also worth noting that no stock check was requested prior to placing the order to confirm availability alongside pre-booked fitters. Unfortunately, throughout the process we have received several emails that were unnecessarily hostile in tone. Despite this, our team has remained courteous and professional.

The phone call was ended because our staff are not expected to tolerate being shouted at or subjected to abuse. As soon as we became aware of the manufacturing issue, we informed you immediately. At that point, you requested either a full refund for the entire order or delivery of the splashback the following day, neither of which were feasible given the situation.

We continued checking daily with the manufacturer for updates and offered two reasonable options: a refund for the splashback or waiting until the product became available again. However, you requested a full refund for the order while still expecting the splashback to be supplied later, which is not something we are able to do.

The worktops supplied are fit for purpose and exactly as described. The only delayed item is the splashback, which we have held back specifically because we will only deliver products once they meet the required quality standard. The delay has also been prolonged by the chargeback currently in progress.

Finally, matching splashbacks remain available both through us once stock returns and through other online retailers. For this reason, there is no valid basis for a refund on the worktops themselves.
